SERVINGÂ COMMUNITIES IN THE ADIRONDACKS

February Edition! Written By: Chloe Baker Lieutenant Governor

A Note From Me - Your LTG Hi Everyone! It's crazy to think that this service year is almost to an end. It feels like just last month I sent out my first weekly update. In reality, that was six months ago! The Division has come such a long way since then, and I am very excited to see what we can do together next year. Yes, you read that correctly. I am proud to announce that I will be Lieutenant Governor again next service year! I cannot wait to meet all of you and plan great things for the 2020-2021 service year. In the meantime, we still have a month and a half before the year restarts. Leadership Training Conference is a great way to kick start the year, and I hope to see some of you there! Please do not forget to finish off the paperwork for the remainder of the year. Also, check out the Awards Booklet for LTC! I hope you all have a great month! Yours Truly, Chloe Baker

Service Spotlight Ticonderoga’s Key Club has been putting up scarves near their local high school for a few years now. Every year, a local citizen donated 40 homemade scarves that are for the less fortunate in our community. This year we had 3 students go around the areas where there is high foot traffic and stapled them to lamp posts and telephone poles. It truly is a bittersweet moment to see that the scarves are gone within days, and sometimes hours. Ticonderoga High School Key Club will continue to do this service project for its community for years to come. -Gabriel Vigliotti, President Ticonderoga High School Key Club

Service Spotlight Half Hollow Hills High School West’s section of Key Club supported Operation Gratitude by mailing thank you cards to United States Veterans, New Recruits, Caregivers and Wounded Heroes. The club met to discuss the importance of appreciating those who serve for the country. They shared their gratitude by composing thoughtful letters to these brave heroes. These consisted of drawings and decorations to further emphasize the appreciation these students have. As the New Year arrived, the advisors and officers thought it would be the perfect time to spread happiness and joy. - Lieutenant Governor Julia Segal Division 3
