SNACK SHACK

Ticonderoga Sentinel’s Snack Shack helps feed hungry crowds at Friday night football games. Key Club members help design menus, prepare food, and offer friendly service to the community. Key Club members make sanitary service a first priority by wearing gloves, masks, and selling pre-packaged food only. By helping volunteer, you can not only enjoy a great view of the game, but participate in fulfilling community service and create friendships with others. All of the money raised is used to make meaningful donations and fund service projects throughout the year. A special thanks to Haley Sutphen, Sofie Hubbard, Audrey Cook, Irelan Porter, Eliza Strum, Chloe Baker, Trevor Blanchard, Derrick Osier, Alyssa Mydlarz, Kim Wojcik, and more for their help! -Audrey Cook Secretary, Ticonderoga High School Division 14

CHARITY MILES

Charity Miles is a great app. Helping others has always been very important to me. Raising money through this app keeps you active and helps others. If even more people join our Charity Miles team and contribute, we can help many people. So many people are affected by poverty and lack of resources. I believe that it is so important to be there to help these people, and this is such a simple way to do so. So many have been helped through UNICEFs work. Get out there and run, walk, jog, or whatever. Only a few miles can make a big difference in the world. Do good.

-Chris Facteau Treasurer, Ticonderoga High School Division 14

DISTRICT PROJECT

When Alex, who was diagnosed with childhood cancer just before her first birthday, was four, she told her parents she wanted to set up a front-yard lemonade stand. Her plan: to give the money to doctors to help them find a cure. Her first “Alex’s Lemonade Stand”, held with the help of her older brother Patrick, raised an astonishing $2,000 in one day. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is changing the lives of children with cancer by funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families, and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer. ALSF and its supporters are propelling the world towards a future without childhood cancer. For more information click here.
