ADIRONDACK ANNOUNCEMENTS DIVISION FOURTEEN'S SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER

Written By: Chloe Baker, Lieutenant Governor

A NOTE FROM ME ~ YOUR LTG Hello Division 14! Happy Back to School Season! I have started my junior year, personally going to school two days and virtual for three. Let me know how you are going back to school! Many schools are unable to host club meetings in person at this time which we completely understand. I am currently working on a series on virtual service projects for the division to do as a whole. Our next project, Free Rice App, is an app where rice is donated for every trivia question you answer correctly. More information can be found on Page 4.

As you return back to school, please try to catch up on your owed paperwork from the summer! Even if your club was nonactive, which is understandable, please let us know by filling out the MRFs. The Election Report Form (ERF) is due by September 30th! That is this month! I have let you all know the deadline since the beginning of this service year. If your school is lucky enough to go back to school in person, please wear your mask and social distance! These practices will help return back to normal soon, and help us bring back our Key Club normalities :) Don't forget to help your communities! Caring - It's Our Way of Life!

Yours in Service, Chloe Baker Division 14 Lieutenant Governor

DIVISION 14 GOES VIRTUAL Due to the pandemic, our Key Club hasn’t been active since early Spring. However, our Lieutenant Governor, Chloe Baker, has searched above and beyond for ways to keep not only my club, but our Division active during these unprecedented times. In the summer, we had our big Charity Miles event. Our members walked more than they ever have this summer, helping both their health and children overseas. To date we have walked 2,276 miles with less than 25 members. That is over $500 going towards UNICEF, one of KCI’s preferred charities. Besides Charity Miles, we have a new team on Free Rice App. It is a trivia game where you earn rice that is given to a country in need, sponsered by the World Food Programme (WPF). The earnings have been slow, although our team did just launch. Division 14 has been learning to adapt to changes and make the best out of what we are given. We hope to find more chances to do good as time comes. - Adrian Paige Ticonderoga High School Division 14
