Page 1 Yours in Service, Happy August! I have been so happy with the service happening this summer and the participation in our division wide events! So, thank you :) As the school year is coming soon, now is the time to think about your plans for the year If you have yet to hold your officers election, that should be one of the first things on your mind as the Election Report Form is due on September 30th! Please reach out to me if you have any questions regarding officer election or are in need of any resources. Also in the fall we should have our Fall Rally, so get excited! Finally, even if your club has been inactive over the summer, your secretary should still be filling out the MRF. The July MRF was due on August 10th, but it is never too late to fill it out and any other missing MRF's you may have Enjoy these last few weeks of summer! Freerice is a mobile trivia app that donates rice to the World Food Program for every question you answer correctly. You can answer question in a variety of categories, ranging from grammar to geography. It is a great way to test your knowledge while helping others. There are under-resourced people all over the world. This charity turns shoes and clothing into opportunity. It provides relief by collecting new shoes and clothing to distribute to people in need across the United States and around the world. Additionally, this charity is shipping footwear to give to Ukrainian refugees in Poland and Moldova and to those on the frontline.For more information click here.

Pencils of Promise has the mission to ensure that every child has access to quality education. This organization builds classrooms in Ghana, Guatemala, and Laos to give students safe and healthy places to learn.

The Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center is a clinic located in Long Island, New York that is dedicated to serving unique care for children in extreme situations (e.g. trauma injuries). It also serves a number of other functions, such as outreach to parents and educational programs. The foundation supports pediatric trauma efforts at medical centers. My name is Ava Stamatakis, and this year, I have the honor of serving as your Key Club International Trustee! The other districts I am serving are the Alabama District and the Caribbean Atlantic District Together, our “sister” districts make up the NewCariBama Sistrict!

Hi NYDKC District Board!

Now, what do International Trustees even do? In the simplest terms, I am here to spread awareness of Key Club’s global presence, to connect members to resources, and to support district leadership (that’s you!) in whatever ways I can I am ready to fulfill my duties to the best of my ability, so throughout the year, you will see me holding monthly office hours, hosting quarterly sistrict events, sending monthly newsletters, posting on Instagram frequently (follow @newaribama), attending your events, and much more. Additionally, outside of sistrict work, I serve as a co chair of the International Programs and Partners Committee, where I help coordinate events like the Global Engagement Rally. This year, my goal is to help you access the countless opportunities Key Club provides its members. No matter what position you hold, I want to be here to support you in your service journey. By hosting sistrict events and spotlighting Key Club stories across the world, I hope to also expand your view and appreciation of Key Club’s impact.
