Operation Christmas Child Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is an annual project our Key Club does. Operation Christmas Child has helped meet the needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine. Members of our Key Club got the choice to take home and pack a shoebox with gifts that are then distributed to children around the world. Our club then paid the cost of shipping for each box. Some friends and I went to the Dollar Tree and Walmart to buy gifts for our boxes together which makes the service even more enjoyable.

Samaritan’s Purse has collected shoebox gifts filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items for children around the world. Since 1993, more than 188 million children in more than 170 countries and territories have received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox. In 2020 alone, more than 9.1 million Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts were collected throughout Australia, Austria, Canada, Finland, Germany, New Zealand, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. This year, our club filled over 15 boxes and Operation Christmas Child even has a tracking feature so you can find out where your box ends up!
