MONEY MATTERS ANNUAL MEMBER RENEWAL KICKED OFF IN NOVEMBER The Member & Property Services team kicked off annual member renewal activities the first week in November, beginning with a mail out to all property owners in good standing. The annual fee and amenity renewal forms are available at www.hsvpoa.org, under Key Links, or may be picked up at the POA Administration, 895 DeSoto Blvd. Annual purchases and payments may be made by mailing completed forms and checks to the POA Administration Accounting Department, or by bringing completed forms and payment to Administration weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

“all assessments, service, and use charges”), members are no longer in good standing, losing member rates and unmanned gate card access until brought current. Furthermore, accounts that are 120 days or more delinquent will be referred to a third party collection agent.

In an effort to reduce annual renewal costs, temporary paper member cards will no longer be printed each year. The cards printed last year (noted as 2015) were the last paper cards to be prepared. While these cards will still be accepted one more year, members are asked to stop by the POA office and have their photo id made instead.

The most efficient method for staff to process assessment payments is through monthly automatic bank draft. As a cost savings and cash flow tool, members are encouraged to consider this method over mailed checks, whether that be through personal mailing or by using their bank’s online bill pay services. The second most efficient method is by credit card through the hsvpoa.org website. Obviously, assessment payments in all forms are welcome. Members are asked to reference their lot, block, and addition number on payments submitted by check. As communicated through recent Village Digests, the POA discontinued using a separate assessment account number.

Additionally, assessment coupons covering the entire 12 month period will be mailed at the beginning of the year only. Members are reminded that assessments are due on the 1st of the month. A late fee of $7 is assessed on any balance owed as of the 31st day and for any month thereafter. At the 61st day of delinquency (for

The eCommerce phase of the Total e conversion, which will offer members the ability to purchase annual and other passes online inside the member portal, is projected to be in place for the 2017 annual renewal period. Your patience is appreciated as staff strive for more economical annual renewal processes.

2015-16 Urban Deer Hunt - Feeding the Hungry The 2015-2016 Urban Deer Hunt for Hot springs Village, began on September 1, 2015. Hunters are required to donate the first adult harvested deer to Arkansas Hunters Feeding the Hungry. In November, Ronnie Ritter, Executive Director of Arkansas Hunters Hunters Feeding the Hungry delivered 350 pounds of ground venison to the FACS Food Pantry at Fountain Lake Charter High School. The freezer that is now filled with venison was donated to the pantry by Kamo’s Kids. Tennis News 2015 USTA Leagues State Champions Heading to Southern Sectional Championships Every year thousands of adults across the nation form teams to play USTA League Tennis, and every year our tennis community here in Hot Springs Village does as well. Teams form at various age brackets and National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) ability levels. Because of Village demographics, our largest division is the sixty five year olds, but we also have many who play at various age brackets and levels. The most fortunate aspect about the sixty fives is that the Arkansas State Championships are played right here in Hot Springs Village every October, on our clay courts. Teams play each other from around the state in three doubles matches. This year we had the following four teams win the State Championships in their division, and they competed at the sectionals in Dothan, Alabama December 4-6. Sectional Champions move on the Nationals. 3.5 Men’s State Champions: Captain Allen Holmes, Chuck Skarshaug, Dave Nottrott, Richard Lederfine, Dennis Brown, Bob Montgomery, Brian Fullmer, and Bruce Turkal.

Golf News Pam Tillis Dinner by VCF Fri - Jan 8, 2016 - 6:00pm

Golf Department News

Join the Village Community Foundation as they offer a pre-concert dinner in the Ouachita Activities Building, before the Pam Tillis Acoustic Concert on Friday, January 8 at 6:00 p.m. The dinner is sponsored by Trademark Realty. Dinner will feature chili and a potato bar with all of the fixings for only $15.00, so get your tickets early as they are limited.

With the Golf Department looking towards the 2016 golf season, we would like to share some information that will be changing for the upcoming year. As we introduced new rate structures in 2015, we are proud to say that over 15,000 rounds were enjoyed with twilight rates and over 5,000 rounds were enjoyed by your Ray Metz friends with the new accompanied Director of Golf member-guest rates.

Pam Tillis Acoustic Concert Fri - Jan 8, 2016 - 7:30pm Join us at Woodlands Auditorium as Hot Springs Village welcomes Pam Tillis, a child of Music City royalty and a former rebel. Tillis is a former Country Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year and has written songs for some of the top singers in and beyond Nashville, including many hits of her own. Reserved-seating tickets are $25 each, plus tax. Rave On! The Buddy Holly Experience Sat - Mar 5, 2016 - 7:30pm Rave On! re-invents the ordinary tribute show with an electrifying, high-energy, rock n’ roll extravaganza featuring America’s premiere Buddy Holly interpreter, Billy McGuigan, who is a dead-ringer for the legendary rocker. Backed by the rockin’ Rave On! Band, their incredible musicianship helps ignite the stage and breathe new life into the music of Buddy Holly. Hot Springs Village and Woodlands Auditorium are proud to present this great tribute to Buddy Holly. Reserved seating tickets are $20 each, plus tax.

For 2016 the Golf Department will be offering “flex” member pricing for green fees for the first time, with pricing that varies throughout the year at each golf course. An example of these new rates will be during the winter months of the shotgun season as member greens fees will be lowered to $16.00 per player at all golf courses. When the weather warms up in the Spring, and in the Summer, member greens fees will increase slightly by season at each of our courses. The rate structure will be lowered again in the Fall and Winter as the temperatures fall again at that time of year. All member green fee rates for 2016 are shown on the Hot Springs Village website at hsvpoa. org on the Golf pages.

Official Blues Brothers Revue Sat - May 14, 2016 - 7:30pm

Another point for 2016 will be that the HSV Annual Unlimited Green Fee rates will not change from the 2015 rate structure. For those members who enjoy all the golf they can play with the purchase of the annual green fee pass, the amount of rounds played to pay for the pass will be reduced in 2016 due to the flex rates at the various Golf Clubs.

There have been many imitators, but there is only one duo in North America sanctioned by Dan Aykroyd and Judith Belushi to don the official hat and sunglasses and walk in the legendary footsteps of Jake and Elwood Blues. Woodlands Auditorium presents the Official Blues Brothers Revue, backed by a powerhouse band, who’ll give you a show to remember, packed with classic hits from the Blues Brothers catalog, including Soul Man, Rubber Biscuit, Sweet Home Chicago, and more. For a night of laughter, dancing, and foot-stompin’ fun, book the Official Blues Brothers REVUE today. Reserved seating tickets are $25.00, plus tax.

Also, for those Hot Springs Village members who may be traveling to warmer weather this winter, remember to enjoy the Troon Advantage golf program. The Troon Advantage program offers discounted rates at most of the Troon managed golf clubs around the world. In 2015, over 300 members have traveled to California, Arizona, Texas, Missouri, Florida, Nevada, Georgia, Alabama, Kansas, Montana, Colorado, Oregon, Connecticut, and even Mexico, to enjoy golf at your sister, Troon managed golf clubs. Tee times may be provided through the troonadvantage. com web portal. Winter 2015 Hot Springs Village Advocate
