HEN A BERKS COUNTY DIRECTOR is looking for an actor with an elastic face and rubbery limbs who can excel at physical comedy, he couldn’t do better than James Haggerty. He’s the closest Reading, PA, has to a Jim Carrey. Nobody bugs out his eyes better or funnier than James! His love of acting began at an early age and was able to flourish at places like Genesius. His favorite roles are “Frederick Frankenstein” in Young Frankenstein, “Leaf Coneybear” in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, “Richard Hannay” in The 39 Steps, and “Gary/Roger” in Noises Off. 2

N ADDITION TO ACTING, James loves to play fiddle, particularly bluegrass and Celtic. Although he would hardly call himself an avid outdoorsman, James is definitely a lover of nature and would most likely be found in the woods or on the lake in his free time. He carries that to his home life where he tends a collection of bonsai and tropical plants. James enjoys hiding out amidst his plants to paint or read.
