July 8, 2014 Donation to Genesius Theatre for production, “Godspell” IN MEMORY OF MY HUSBAND SCOTT DAELHOUSEN (1950-2002) Scott enjoyed life - I believe that comes partly from the parents he had they cherished family, worked hard, encouraged education, and praised effort. He was interested in their children’s (and then grandchildren’s) everyday lives, and had a crazy sense of humor to lighten daily life. To this day my children recall Grandpa Daelhousen ending a phone call or visit with the simple phrase, “Enjoy your life.” Employed as a Civil Engineer from 1972 until his illness in 2000, Scott was a proud Penn State alumnus. Early in his career he attained the level of Professional Engineer, or P.E., and was actively involved in the Reading Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers. He believed in education and the need for academia to interface with the workplace in order to stay relevant and practical. He regularly gave back to the Penn State engineering department, and he was involved locally in helping to run the annual MathCounts competition and the Reading-Berks Science & Engineering Fair. Scott knew how to include other interests in his work. His love of photography enabled him to include field photos in his work progress reports. As a proud Dad, he hosted our daughter and son at his job site on separate occasions when their schools encouraged it, and he also was a guest in their classrooms to talk about the field of civil engineering. The connection of work with Broadway musicals happened on several occasions when he was working on mass transit projects in New York City. He would get a single midweek ticket on Broadway - that’s how he saw “Beauty & the Beast” and the show “Stomp”. He also once surprised me with tickets to see “Phantom of the Opera” in Philadelphia’s Walnut Street Theatre. More frequently, however, we attended local theater productions at Genesius and elsewhere; and when our daughter Kim became involved in musical theater in high school, community, and a local camp, Scott followed with his camera! So it seems natural to donate to Genesius Theatre in Scott’s Memory - Genesius exists to produce good quality musical theater productions while especially giving training and practical experience to young people in our local area. That was clarified in the recent simplified production of “Genesius: The Musical”. Admission prices are also very reasonable, and again allow students and others with little income to enjoy good-quality, live musical theater. As a not-for-profit organization, it relies heavily on donations. And when suddenly the production you are watching is over, you’ll agree with a common phrase of Scott’s, “Time flies when you’re having fun!” -Brenda Daelhousen
James Haggarty JESUS
...returns to the Genesius Stage to gladly portray Jesus in this exciting production of Godspell; he was last seen playing Ralph in Reefer Madness. He recently was in Kutztown University’s student written and ran productions of Cirque and Mystery Inc. where he played Shaggy and the juggler Ash. Some of his favorite past roles and shows are Leaf Coneybear in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Reading High, Small Parts Guy in Striking 12 here at Genesius, along with Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Sweeney Todd, and HAiR where he played Woof. He will also be seen in the upcoming and hilarious production of The 39 Steps where he will portray Richard Hannay, He can’t thank Larry, Chris, Jenny, Julia, and the rest of the Godspell cast enough for all the love, hard work, and passion that went into this show.
Spencer Moss Fecho JOHN THE BAPTIST / JUDAS ...works on many shows at Genesius, either designing lights, running the tech crew, on stage, or doing it all at once. He also works full time at Atomic Lighting where he is a Moving Light Technician. Spencer is very excited to be back on stage and cannot wait to make this a memory he will never forget.

L J Fecho
Director / Producer
...is currently the Artistic Director/Producer of Genesius Theatre, and from 2006-2009 was its Artistic Director. He began his theatrical career there at the age of twelve, becoming one of Jane’s “kids” in 1971. He was Jesus in the original cast of “Godspell” at Genesius in 1976 that played for over 8 weeks and 40 + performances. Genesius was the first theater locally to present Godspell. This production, needless to say, is very near and dear to his heart. He has worked with Alexander Cohen on the 1977 Tony Awards, as well as at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Goodspeed Musicals, The Hudson Guild Theatre, The Manhattan Theatre Club, La Mamma, The Watery Star Theatre, and the Fulton Opera House. He co-produced Williamstown’s annual New York City Cabaret Benefits at Studio 54 and The Palladium, and assisted the producer of Carol Hall’s Off-Broadway musical, To Whom It May Concern. Since 2002, he has directed and produced many hits at Genesius, including Hair, Urinetown, Sweeney Todd, Striking 12, The Great American Trailer Park Musical, The Full Monty, Proof, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Who’s Tommy, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Miss Saigon, Man Of LaMancha and, most recently, KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN and SPAMALOT, to name a few. Since 1990 his company LetUsEnterTrainYou.com by Entourage Entertainment has created, and produced interactive Murder Mystery Events and Team Building programs for top corporate clients up and down the east coast and across the U.S. His version of Finnigan’s Wake, an interactive Irish wake, ran for fourteen sold-out weeks at Harrah’s Showboat Casino in Atlantic City and at the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, PA. Next up for Mr. Fecho will be directing the truly hysterical ALFRED HITCHOCK’S – THE 39 STEPS, which opens August 29 and runs through September 7 at Genesius. He dedicates this production to his mentor, collaborator and dear friend, Michael O’Flaherty, who, since their very first handshake on the stage of the Rajah Theatre in 1971, has never stopped believing in him.
