A MARKET INSPIRED SYMPHONY

Chef Nadav Greenberg on Fresh Ingredients and Culinary Passion

Discover how Chef Nadav's Jerusalem roots and New York’s vibrant markets inspire the daily reinvention of his Michelin-starred restaurant, Shmoné.

A Market-Inspired Symphony: A Day with Chef Nadav Greenberg

In the vibrant streets of New York City, where cultures collide and every day is a new canvas for culinary exploration, Chef Nadav Greenberg finds his rhythm. Head Chef of Shmoné and recipient of a prestigious Michelin star, Nadav's story is one that bridges his upbringing in Jerusalem to the celebrated kitchens of New York. On the morning of our interview, I join him virtually on one of his daily market trips, witnessing firsthand how a love for fresh ingredients and an instinct for spontaneity become the foundation of Shmoné's renowned culinary excellence.

Heritage and Innovation: A Jerusalem Journey "Growing up in Jerusalem, food wasn't just sustenance; it was a way of bringing people together," Nadav recalls, his voice tinged with nostalgia. He speaks of his Moroccan grandmother and her passion for food, the smoky scent of charred eggplants and garlic, the fiery kick of spices—all of which influenced the DNA of his culinary journey. "Every Friday, we would sit for hours around the table, savoring flavors that represented not just our family, but generations

of culture." These formative experiences shaped Nadav's palate and have found their way into the heart of Shmoné's dishes.

The journey to Shmoné was winding but purposeful. Nadav began by opening a late-night bar in Jerusalem with friends, a venture that eventually led him to the bright lights of New York City in 2018, reuniting with the culinary innovators at Miznon North. In 2022, Shmoné opened its doors, and a year later, the restaurant earned a Michelin star—a remarkable achievement that reflects Nadav's dedication to excellence.

The Market as Muse: Creating Daily Magic

"Every morning, I ride my bike to the market," Nadav tells me, a bit of city noise faintly echoing in the background. "I touch, I smell, I talk to the vendors." It’s clear that the market is more than just a place to buy ingredients; it’s a source of inspiration, a place where creativity blooms. He visits the stalls early, well before the crowds, exchanging words with a trusted vendor who offers "secret things inside his truck" that Nadav treasures.

It’s not me who writes the menu; it’s the market. Whatever shines the brightest, whatever feels right— that becomes the inspiration for the night’s service.

"I think of the market as my muse," he says, with genuine warmth. "When I’m feeling uninspired, the colors of spring vegetables—the green garlic, the fresh herbs—they reset my creativity." He emphasizes the role of nature in defining each day’s menu: "It’s not really me who writes the menu; it’s the market. Whatever shines the brightest, whatever feels right—that becomes the inspiration for the night’s service."

The concept of daily reinvention carries its challenges, particularly in a Michelin-starred kitchen where consistency is key. But for Nadav, consistency is not about replicating the exact same flavor profile every day. Instead, it’s about respecting the inherent differences in ingredients. "The sun, the soil, the water—they all change," he notes thoughtfully. "You can’t force an eggplant to taste the same today as yesterday. The consistency is in making sure it’s always good—acidity or sweetness might shift, but it’s the quality that stays constant." His approach isn’t about forcing nature to obey, but about embracing its nuances and letting them guide the creative process.

An Open Kitchen and the Art of Improvisation

Shmoné operates with an open kitchen concept, a setup that Nadav likens to improvisational theater. "It’s a show—the guests can see everything," he says, describing the energy that fuels his team. "When I walk in, I take my po-

sition to the side and just start playing with the ingredients. We all get into this rhythm together. It’s almost like a dance, and there’s an excitement in that." Working with his prep team, Nadav introduces a new dish with casual confidence, showing it to his cooks, filming a quick video, and tasting every part before it reaches the guests.

"We smile, we perform, we’re on stage," Nadav laughs. "The open kitchen has its challenges—there’s no hiding if something goes wrong—but it’s also immediate. The moment a guest takes a bite, you see it on their face. It’s gratifying to create something spontaneous, something fleeting that resonates in real time." He pauses to reflect, acknowledging the effort it takes: "We do it not for the pain in our backs or the exhaustion, but for those moments of connection."

Influence of Eyal Shani and the Israeli Melting Pot

Nadav credits much of his culinary philosophy to the mentorship of Eyal Shani, an iconic figure in Israeli cuisine. "He gave me the confidence to be not just a chef, but a creator," Nadav shares. "Working with him was like suddenly finding all the pieces of a puzzle you didn’t know you were missing."

The Market Ritual

Chef Nadav’s daily market trips are a ritual of renewal. Arriving early, he roams through the vibrant stalls, tasting, smelling, and touching the freshest vegetables and herbs. "The market isn’t just where I shop," he says. "It’s where I find inspiration, where each day's story begins."

For Nadav, this ritual is about reconnecting—with nature, with the city, and with the spark that drives his creativity

Jerusalem itself—its blend of cultures, histories, and cuisines—is another central influence. Nadav describes the "Israeli melting pot," the blend of his Ashkenazi and Moroccan heritage, as a constant source of ideas. "I took my grandmother’s chicken liver and made it something elevated, using better ingredients, better tools. It’s not that I cook better than she did; she was incredible. I just have the advantage of technology and the luxury of choosing my ingredients. It’s still her recipe at its core, but polished in a way that honors her."

Respect as the True Foundation of Sustainability

Sustainability is more than a buzzword for Nadav—it’s a philosophy rooted in respect. "I don’t buy the term as a trend," he says candidly. "It’s about respecting every ingredient. I have a different vendor for nearly everything—the octopus, the shrimp, the vegetables. They all come with a story, and knowing that story, knowing where everything comes from, means I can respect it fully."

He talks of a family in Maine that catches shrimp for Shmoné every Wednesday, of a farmer with a small plot growing heritage tomatoes—relationships that give his ingredients depth. "I want my guests to experience that respect. It’s not about the flash or the status. It’s about the pride behind every bite." Nadav is adamant about this point, and it resonates deeply—sustainability at Shmoné isn’t a checklist of practices; it’s a commitment to treating the earth, the ingredients, and the people around him with care.

The Heart of Shmoné: A Home Away From Home

As our conversation wraps up, Nadav invites me—and the readers—to visit Shmoné, to sit at the bar and be a part of the experience. "It’s homey, it’s intimate," he says warmly. "It’s not just about eating; it’s about feeling welcomed. Many of our guests have become family. When my second child was born, they brought gifts— they knew, they cared." Shmoné, in his eyes, isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a living expression of his journey, a space where culture, respect, and the beauty of the everyday ingredient come together to create something magical.

JERUSALEM KUGEL

A Modern Twist on a Holiday Classic

Chef Nadav Greenberg elevates the traditional Jerusalem Kugel with caviar and sour cream—perfect for the festive season.

Chef Nadav Greenberg's Holiday Favorite

The holiday season calls for warmth, nostalgia, and a touch of the unexpected—and Chef Nadav Greenberg delivers just that with his take on Jerusalem Kugel. Traditionally made with egg noodles, caramelized sugar, eggs, and plenty of black pepper, Kugel has been a staple for festive gatherings from Rosh Hashanah to New Year’s Eve. Nadav elevates this beloved classic with a contemporary flair: a luxurious dollop of caviar and a touch of sour cream atop each serving. The salty, briny caviar cuts through the sweet and spicy flavors, adding a layer of sophistication that transforms each bite into an unforgettable experience.

Sweet, spicy, and a taste of the ocean in one bite— my modern Jerusalem Kugel is the perfect way to awaken your palate for the festive season.

"I love making Jerusalem Kugel during the holidays," Nadav says. "It’s nostalgic for me, reminding me of visits to the Orthodox neighborhoods of Jerusalem as a child, where I would treat myself to a slice. It's not just about tradition; it’s also about bringing a modern twist to those memories."

Describing the dish as an amuse-bouche, Nadav adds, "You get a whole range of flavors in one bite—sweet, spicy, and a taste of the ocean. It’s the perfect way to start the meal and awaken your palate." Whether you’re familiar with the comforting layers of Jerusalem Kugel or experiencing it for the first time, Chef Nadav's version adds an air of festivity and elegance that’s perfect for holiday celebrations.

EUGENIA KIM

Crafting a Legacy of Bold Elegance and Innovation

Few names evoke the same blend of playful sophistication and timeless innovation as Fashion Designer Eugenia Kim. From her accidental start in millinery after a bad haircut to her award-winning designs that push creative boundaries, Eugenia has reshaped the role of accessories in women's wardrobes. In this exclusive interview, the designer shares insights into her organic creative process, the importance of staying true to her brand DNA, and her exciting new ventures—including a Wicked-inspired collaboration and a functional yet chic tennis line. Join us as we delve into the mind of a true visionary who has turned hats into iconic statements.

Q&A

Your hat designs have become iconic in the fashion world. Can you walk us through your creative process? Where do you typically find inspiration for your Collections?

Our process is very organic. We typically begin with seasonal inspiration, which guides the development of our color palette. As someone who is deeply inspired by materials, I look for elements that resonate with our concept. However, I often take creative detours—sometimes it’s refreshing not to follow inspiration too literally or rigidly. We’re fortunate to have an in-house atelier that handcrafts all of our hat samples and prototypes. I start with an initial concept, and then they bring it to life, allowing room for evolution and refinement along the way. While some designers take a more direct, step-by-step approach, my method is more fluid—I prefer a journey that moves from point A to point B, and eventually leads us to point C. It’s a more circuitous route but it’s the way my creative process works.

When you first began designing hats, it was out of a personal need after a bad haircut. How did that one moment turn into a fullfledged business?

When I first moved to New York City, I was taking a millinery class, and one night, on a whim, I decided to cut my own hair. It turned out so badly that I ended up shaving my head. It was the middle of December and my naked head was cold. That’s when I decided to create hand-feathered hats that looked like hair, in a variety of colors. One day, while shopping in Soho, two different store owners asked me where I got my hat. By the end of the day, I had appointments with both stores. One of them began carrying my hats, and that’s really how it all started. I later recreated these hats and others from that time period in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Eugenia Kim.

Your designs often strike a balance between playful and sophisticated. How do you maintain that signature blend in each collection?

It’s something deeply personal to me. I’ve always been a rebel, and my cutting-edge designs reflect this. I’m also a minimalist by nature but a fun minimalist. For instance, our best-selling coloa, after neutrals, is pink. These qualities inform my sense of design, along with the fact that I get inspired by a variety of different types of women. This makes my designs universal and the category of hats wearable and relatable.

Do you have a favorite collection or piece you’ve designed? What made it particularly special for you?

Yes, this piece was actually the one I created in 2004 when I won the CFDA Award for Accessories Design. It’s a black satin fascinator shaped like an ashtray, adorned with leather cigarettes and Swarovski crystal 'ashes.' I later recreated it for my Icon Collection.

Your brand started in 1998 and has grown tremendously. What were some of the biggest challenges you faced when starting out, and how did you overcome them?

One of my biggest challenges was not having the formal education that comes from attending fashion school. I had to learn on the go as my business grew. However, I quickly realized that building a strong team to support the business was essential to its success.

What do you think are the key elements that helped your brand reach and sustain its level of success?

It’s been incredibly helpful in honing my ability to design for my customers, especially since I do so many trunk shows and personal appearances. When I had a retail store, I was constantly engaging with people, and that direct connection taught me a lot. It’s not just about designing a hat in a vacuum, it’s about understanding women and the role a hat plays in their wardrobe.' I know every type of customer because I’ve met so many, and that’s really crucial. Being one-on-one with your customer is key. My brand is what it is because of the customers who connect with it. They are a part of the Eugenia Kim ethos, and seeing their reactions has been invaluable.

How has your approach to fashion design evolved over the years, especially in response to industry changes or consumer demands?

Sustainability has become increasingly important to both me and our customers. In response, we've partnered with local artisans through programs that provide craftsmen with new job opportunities, allowing them to preserve their traditional techniques while raising awareness about this valuable form of artistry. For example, by working with local programs in aColombia, we’ve helped women maintain their unique weaving skills while also boosting community employment. Additionally, we’re more mindful of our production processes, focusing on reducing waste and minimizing our environmental impact.

Tell us more about your collaboration with Wicked this upcoming season.

I’ve been working on this collaboration with NBCUniversal for months, and I’m thrilled to finally reveal the collection I’ve created, inspired by the characters of Elphaba and Glinda. I had never seen Wicked on Broadway before, so this project gave me the opportunity to really immerse myself in the characters as they are portrayed in the film.

What advice would you give to emerging designers looking to establish themselves in the fashion world today?

Once you’ve identified your brand DNA and target customer, it’s crucial to stay true to that foundation—it’s what will keep customers coming back time and time again. Being creative is important, but in today’s world, you also need to have a strong business mindset.

What do you see as the future for Eugenia Kim as a brand? Tell us more about the launch of the LOVE collection.

This past spring, we launched Eugenia Kim LOVE, a collection inspired by my passion for tennis and the love story between my husband and me, since we first met on the tennis court. I designed everything in the Eugenia Kim LOVE line to be not only highly functional for tennis, but also versatile enough to look chic both on and off the courts. And, of course, everything includes discreet pockets. It’s funny because years ago, my psychic told me I would design clothing with a lot of pockets, which made no sense to me at the time.

THE ART OF EMBRACING YOURSELF

Michael Cyril Creighton on Humor, Vulnerability, and Defying the Norms

From 'Jack in a Box' to 'Only Murders in the Building,' Michael Cyril Creighton opens up about embracing his quirks, thriving through authenticity, and navigating a career where comedy and catharsis intertwine.

Actors often face immense pressure to conform to industry expectations, but Michael Cyril Creighton stands out by doing just the opposite. His journey, from the heartfelt humor of his early web series "Jack in a Box" to his nuanced role in "Only Murders in the Building," is a testament to embracing one's identity in its full, unpolished brilliance. Creighton's willingness to find both the humor and sadness in his own life—and then bring that vulnerability to the screen—is what makes his performances resonate so deeply with audiences. He has a way of amplifying life’s imperfections, turning his characters into reflections of our own humanity, with all its humor, heartache, and eccentricity.

As Michael shares his story, it becomes clear that his authenticity is not just a strategy; it’s a compass that has guided him through the uncertainties of the entertainment world. Whether it’s portraying the quirks of Howard Morris in "Only Murders in the Building" or channeling the vulnerability of a character like Patrick in "High Maintenance," Creighton embodies roles that straddle the thin line between comedy and drama. He captures the essence of living in a world where joy and sorrow often coexist, reminding us that the most poignant moments are often found in between.

From "Jack in a Box" to "Only Murders in the Building," your characters beautifully blend humor with vulnerability. How have your personal experiences shaped your ability to portray such nuanced roles, and has your approach evolved over the years?

When it came to Jack in a Box, it really was a case of "write what you know." I created the web series back in 2009-2013, and it was about a frustrated theater actor who couldn’t get cast and was stuck working at an off-Broadway box office. At the time, that was exactly who I was—a frustrated theater actor, stuck in that same situation.

So, I drew inspiration from my daily life, turned the volume up, and found the humor in the sadness—and the sadness in the humor. That’s the approach I try to take with everything I am in or create.

That web series taught me how to act on camera and, in a lot of ways, set me up for success. Since then, my approach hasn’t really changed. 99.7% of the time, what I need to make a role work is already there in the writing.

You've described theater as a refuge during your journey of personal exploration. In what ways has embracing your identity influenced the stories you choose to tell and the characters you bring to life on screen?

It took a long time to get here, but I truly believe that embracing my identity has been key to my success as an actor. For years, I worried that the very things that made me unique—my size, the sound of my voice, the way I move— were somehow holding me back. I thought those traits were detrimental. But once I started embracing everything that made me, things really started to click, and I began booking work.

I think a lot of actors fall into the same trap I did—approaching roles and auditions by trying to guess what they think they’re supposed to do or what they think casting directors and producers want. That mindset led me to try to

squeeze myself into a mold that just wasn’t realistic and felt completely false.

Theater has always been a refuge for me. Even though it’s been a while since I’ve done a play, I still see as much theater and performance as I can. It excites me and keeps me inspired. I mean, why live in New York if you’re not going to soak up all the insane talent on display around every corner, right?

Working alongside comedic legends like Steve Martin and Martin Short in "Only Murders in the Building" must be both exhilarating and intimidating. What have been the most impactful lessons or surprising moments from collaborating with such icons?

Surprisingly, it’s not intimidating at all—and that’s really a testament to our lead trio, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. They set the tone, and it trickles down to everyone. Whether it’s Meryl Streep or a day player with two lines, a director or a production assistant, everyone on that set is treated with kindness and respect.

I’ve learned so many lessons while working on the show, but the most important ones boil down to this: Be kind, be on time, and know your lines. That’s the holy trinity of success on any set.

And personally? I never try to tell a joke unless I know it’s really funny—because that room is already packed with some of the funniest people on the planet.

Howard Morris is known for his quirky charm and impeccable sweater collection. How much of yourself do you see in Howard, and what aspects of his character have pushed you outside your comfort zone as an actor?

Well, I do have some pretty great sweaters.

I relate a lot to Howard. He loves animals, he’s tenacious, and he’s determined to be part of the group. He craves attention and validation, and he desperately wants to be really good at something—anything—and he’s willing to fail along the way. Those are all qualities we definitely share. But Howard is a very amped-up version of me. He’s bolder, his emotions are more erratic, and he feels everything on such a huge scale.

Playing him is actually pretty cathartic because those big feelings are so freeing.

The only real challenges have been, well... the yodeling in season 2. Believe it or not, yodeling did not come naturally! And, of course, working with animals brings its own unique set of challenges. So far, I’ve worked with a cat, a kitten, a bird, two dogs, and a pig—and I’ve tried to handle it all with aplomb, even when one peed on me during a scene. Listen, the animals were total pros, but at the end of the day, they’re still animals. They’re gonna do what they want to do, and I just had to roll with it.

Your roles often sit at the intersection of humor and deep emotional truth, from yodeling librarians to poignant characters in films like "Spotlight." What draws you to these multifaceted roles, and how do you navigate the balance between comedy and drama?

I don’t think the line between comedy and tragedy is ever clearly defined, so I try to straddle both whenever I can.

For example, when I worked on Spotlight, I had the privilege of spending time with the man I was portraying, Joe Crowley, before filming. He was a survivor of clergy abuse, which had derailed his life in so many ways. But at the same time, he was one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. Both of those truths coexisted. He used humor as a defense mechanism—it was how he coped with the darkness.

How we, as people, navigate the comedy and tragedy of our everyday lives is so personal and deeply human. When I get the chance to explore that dynamic in a role, I feel like I’ve hit the jackpot.

If you were to revisit "Jack in a Box" today, how would your evolved perspective on the theater world and your personal journey influence its narrative? What new themes or absurdities would you be eager to explore?

Oh, this is such a great question! I’d love to revisit that web series. So much has changed in the theater world since 2013, when I stopped making the show. It would be fascinating to explore how off-Broadway theater has been affected by the pandemic and the political shifts of the past decade plus.

I think Off-Broadway is in a rebuilding phase—sometimes starting completely from scratch—and there’s so much rich material to mine from that.

In "High Maintenance," your portrayal of a character with gentle agoraphobia resonated deeply with audiences. How do you tap into such specific experiences to create universally relatable characters without losing their unique essence?

Honestly, I think imagination does a lot of the work. I loved playing Patrick on High Maintenance. It was such a great opportunity to show a different side of myself. At that point in my career, people knew I could be funny and sharp, but they hadn’t really seen my vulnerable side.

Even though he was a very specific characteran agoraphobic who was obsessed with Helen Hunt and collected La Croix cans - his desire to connect with other humans is a very relatable, universal quality that I think audiences really responded to. Playing him was an absolute dream. And people still really seem to respond to him. Just the other day, I was walking down the street when someone yelled, “La Croix guy!” That’s me!

I’m so grateful that I’ve had—and still have— the chance to play characters that people connect with and remember. Because, let’s be honest, the alternative—being unappreciated and completely forgotten—is kind of a bummer.

You once mentioned not wanting to wait until your 40s for your "character actor" moment. Breaking into the industry on your own terms, what challenges have you faced defying traditional norms, and what advice would you offer to young actors striving to carve their own unconventional paths in a competitive landscape

For me, not working and not being creative were never options. I needed both to survive. So, through my 20s and most of my 30s, I held a full-time job while squeezing in every creative opportunity I could around my work schedule. I did plays that rehearsed before or after work, dabbled in stand-up, and hosted all female comedy shows in alternative spaces. I cowrote plays with friends and staged them in the backs of weird bars. Eventually, I made my web series—before and after work. I stayed really busy and learned a ton from both my successes and failures.

I didn’t spend my 20s waiting for opportunity, because waiting never worked for me. And I’m glad I didn’t, because it wasn’t until I was 30 that I got my first audition for a proper TV show. By then, I’d spent years working my act-

ing muscles in other ways, so I was ready. That audition turned into my first TV job: a small role on an episode of 30 Rock

I’m no authority on how young actors can build a career, but I do have a few thoughts! Like I mentioned earlier, the most important thing is to embrace who you are, instead of trying to be what you think people want. See as much theater, performance, and art as possible.

Create however you can. Write—even if you think you’re bad at it. Don’t be afraid to fail, and learn from every mistake.

If you don’t get a role you want, give yourself one day to mourn it—then move on! Surround yourself with performers who excite and inspire you. Lift others up—there’s room for everyone.

And most importantly, find joy outside of acting and performing. Even at the most successful level, you won’t get to do your job as much as you’d like. So, it’s really important to have relationships and friendships that bring joy no matter where you are at on this professional rollercoaster ride. Oh, and rescue a dog. Everything’s better with a rescue dog.

Michael's insights offer more than just a glimpse into his craft; they are a call for others to find comfort in what makes them unique. His message is clear: true success comes from abandoning the futile chase of others' expectations and embracing what sets you apart. In a career characterized by authenticity, kindness, and a genuine love for creativity, Michael Cyril Creighton has paved his own unconventional path—one filled with laughter, lessons, and perhaps a few memorable sweaters.

Have thoughts or stories that resonate with Michael Cyril Creighton's journey? Share them–let’s celebrate the beauty of authenticity together!

Flexjet's Sikorsky S-76 Revolutionizes Luxury Helicopter Travel

A Conversation with Eli Flint on Elevating the Yachting Experience, Flexjet’s Expanding Helicopter Network, and the Future of Eco-Friendly Aviation

With over 25 years in private aviation, Eli Flint has navigated the skies—and the industry—from various high-level roles, including sales and leadership positions at prestigious companies such as FlightSafety International and Bombardier Aerospace. Today, as President of Flexjet’s helicopter division, Flint oversees Flexjet’s helicopter operations featuring the Sikorsky S-76, an aircraft revered for its elegance, performance, and sophisticated appeal. Known for its quiet cabin, plush interiors, and advanced safety features, the Sikorsky S-76 is a standout in Flexjet's offerings, attracting discerning travelers seeking seamless connections between air and sea. We sat down with Flint to discuss Flexjet’s commitment to safety, comfort, and environmental responsibility.

IN CONVERSATION WITH ELI FLINT

Q: Eli, Flexjet’s presence at international boat shows highlights the natural synergy between yachting and private aviation. In your view, how does the Sikorsky S-76 complement the luxury yachting experience for discerning travelers?

Eli Flint: “We don’t operate Sikorsky by accident. We chose this platform because it’s one of the most capable, especially among American helicopters. The S-76 goes the fastest, goes the farthest, and is incredibly comfortable. It’s about what the aircraft can do—flying in varied weather, with twin engines and dual pilots, ensuring complete redundancy and reliability. The dispatch rate is in the high 90s, meaning it’s ready to go almost every time. And the cabin itself is as quiet as a luxury SUV, so you can have a conversation or enjoy a drink without needing headsets. That’s not something

you find in many helicopters. The experience of flying in the S-76 complements the yachting lifestyle seamlessly—it's smooth, luxurious, and reliable, just like a top-tier yacht.”

Q: For those exploring Flexjet’s helicopter services, can you tell us about the different access options, like charter, card, and lease? What makes each option appealing to luxury travelers?

Eli Flint: “Flexjet operates on a subscriptionbased model, focusing on long-term relationships with our customers. With options like a multi-year lease, clients essentially own a piece of the aircraft and have guaranteed access. This allows them to enjoy the benefits of private aviation without the challenges of ownership, such as hiring pilots, securing hangar space, and handling maintenance. We operate three helicopter fleets—South Florida, New York City, and London, which covers the UK, Ire-

land, and France. Once clients have hours in the program, they can seamlessly access helicopters in any of these markets, making it an adaptable and hassle-free solution. This approach is tailored for those who appreciate convenience—no need for complex arrangements; just an email or call, and they’re ready to fly.”

Q: With the lottery offering a transfer from South Florida to the exclusive Rockwell Island helipad in Bimini, what do you hope guests will take away from this unique experience in terms of convenience and luxury?

Eli Flint: “We want to showcase Rockwell’s beauty and make people aware of how easily accessible it is. It’s just a quick 30-minute flight from South Florida, yet it feels worlds apart. Flying in a helicopter at such a low altitude offers a more intimate experience—last time, we flew just 10 feet over the water and saw eagle rays beneath us. It’s a beautiful way to arrive,

unlike anything you’d experience in a plane. Our customers value the experience of flying and the stunning views it provides. It’s about the journey as much as the destination—half an hour over turquoise waters to arrive at a pristine, exclusive destination like Rockwell Island is what makes private helicopter travel truly luxurious.”

Q: The Flexjet Sikorsky S-76 boasts impressive safety features and redundancies. Could you share what goes into maintaining this level of safety and how it enhances passenger peace of mind?

Eli Flint: “Safety is integral to the Sikorsky design. It flies with two pilots, two engines, and two autopilots, plus a four-blade rotor system for extra stability. It’s incredibly reliable and quiet, and Sikorsky’s military heritage adds to that trust factor—the new Marine One is a Sikorsky. Many of the safety features in our

S-76, like redundant systems and robust engineering, were derived from military applications, so this is a trusted, proven design. Flexjet also ensures our interiors are luxurious, with custom-made elements like wool and silk carpeting and brushed nickel details. When you step into one of our helicopters, you’re in an environment crafted to our high standards of comfort and aesthetics. So while you’re enjoying a peaceful, stylish flight, you also know that every element of your experience has been optimized for safety and reliability.”

Q: For guests unfamiliar with the Sikorsky S-76, what features set this helicopter apart in terms of comfort and design, and how does it embody Flexjet’s commitment to exceptional quality?

Eli Flint: “One unique feature of the S-76 is that you don’t need a headset in the cabin; it’s that quiet. You’re free to relax and enjoy a conversation, just like you would in a luxury car. The spacious design, ample legroom, and premium materials elevate the experience. It’s equipped with noise-reducing panels and offers panoramic views—ideal for those who appreciate both style and function. Every detail of

the helicopter, from custom carpets to brushed nickel finishes, is carefully chosen to ensure that our clients have an unparalleled, luxury travel experience.”

Q: With Flexjet’s expanding helipad network and helicopter service in regions like the Northeastern U.S., Florida, and the U.K., how do you see this growth shaping the future of luxury helicopter travel and its appeal to private aviation and yachting enthusiasts?

Eli Flint: “We’re redefining helicopters as a regional solution. It’s not just about quick trips to city centers; it’s about flexibility. Recently, we had a client travel from New York City to his son’s school football game in Delaware, then head to his Virginia farm—all without stepping foot in an airport. This network is expanding, with custom landing zones created to meet our clients’ unique needs. From Long Island to the Hamptons or London to Paris, our goal is to make travel simpler and more accessible. We’re also deeply committed to ‘flying friendly’ by respecting community routes and minimizing sound disruption. Additionally, we’re investing in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to offset our environmental impact, and we’re proud to exceed 100% emissions offset. Our vision is to make luxury helicopter travel as sustainable and accessible as possible, while still offering the convenience and exclusivity our clients expect.”

Closing Thoughts

Speaking with Eli Flint was a pleasure, as he offered insight into the thoughtfulness behind Flexjet’s offerings and how they’re shaping the future of luxury helicopter travel. The Sikorsky S-76 embodies a marriage of functionality and elegance, tailored for the needs of the most discerning travelers. With its growing network, commitment to safety, and eco-conscious initiatives, Flexjet continues to elevate the standards of private aviation and redefine luxury travel experiences.

WRIST AFICIONADO

Luxury Timepieces that Marry Speed and Sophistication

A Fusion of Elegance and Velocity: The Ultimate Tribute to Luxury and Motorsport

Certain luxury pieces transcend mere accessories to become timeless icons—emblems of heritage, precision, and the pinnacle of craftsmanship. This philosophy was brought to life on September 11, 2024, when Wrist Aficionado, a brand that has steadily grown from a social media sensation into a heavyweight in the luxury timepiece industry, held an exclusive showcase of automotive-inspired watches in Manhattan. The display was a celebration of speed and sophistication, connecting the worlds of haute horlogerie and luxury automotive design in breathtaking ways.

The Automotive-Inspired Showcase: A Symphony of Speed and Craftsmanship

The September event was a testament to Wrist Aficionado's ability to capture the imagination of watch collectors and automotive enthusiasts alike. As co-founder Eddie Goziker walked guests through the boutique, time seemed to slow down for those gathered around the exquisite collection of automotive-inspired watches. Among the striking pieces on display was the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Michael Schumacher, a tribute to the Formula 1 legend. Its 44mm rose gold titanium case, grey anthracite dial, and black ceramic bezel echoed the resilience and power of high-performance racing, while a grey rubber bracelet inspired by tire treads added a tactile connection to motorsport's fierce dynamics.

Another standout was the Richard Mille RM 011 Felipe Massa '10th Anniversary', a technical marvel honoring the Brazilian F1 driver. The NTPT carbon case, adorned with Felipe Massa's racing colors and signature, conjured images of roaring engines and the thrill of the track.

Only 100 of these were made, making it a true collector's piece, engineered to capture not just time, but the pulse of speed.

Girard Perregaux also contributed with the Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin, which artfully reflected the luxury of Aston Martin with its vivid green ceramic case and sunray green dial. It extended its tribute to automotive elegance by incorporating a titanium triplefolding clasp and Aston Martin's decal beneath the sapphire case-back—an elegant nod to the seamless connection between luxury timepieces and British automotive heritage.

Completing the collection, Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, and Rolex each presented their own tributes to the spirit of racing. The Rolex Rainbow Daytona with its array of multi-color sapphires on a rose gold or white gold case, and the Rolex Panda Daytona 116500LN with its signature chronograph and sleek ceramic bezel, celebrated endurance and elegance. Each of these watches offered a unique interpretation of the bond between time and velocity.

A Journey from Passion to Prestige

Wrist Aficionado's journey is as remarkable as the timepieces it showcases. Founded in 2016 by Eddie Goziker and Vadim Yakubov, Wrist Aficionado grew from a modest Instagram account into a full-fledged luxury retailer with locations on Madison Avenue in New York City, the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills, and The Setai in Miami. Their boutiques are more than mere showrooms— they're experiential spaces where collectors and connoisseurs come to see, feel, and live the magic of these iconic timepieces.

The founders, Eddie and Vadim, met as young men with a shared passion for watches. Eddie’s journey began during his late teens, collecting watches while working for Tourneau in New York. For Vadim, a deep industry knowledge began early with a family connection at Jacob & Co. Their paths converged in a shared dream of offering discerning buyers access to exclusive, often hard-tofind watches in a highly curated, white-glove setting. Leveraging social media, the duo rose

to prominence by creating viral moments that highlighted not just the timepieces, but the lifestyle they represent.

Their boutiques are now among the few in the luxury resale market that offer not just watches, but also fine jewelry and bags from brands like Hermes. This allows their clientele—a circle of discerning enthusiasts—to experience the height of luxury retail, where bespoke customer service and exclusivity come together under one roof. And while their boutiques serve as physical proof of the luxury experience, social media remains a key component of their brand—an invitation to the world to step into the incredible universe of Wrist Aficionado.

Eddie Goziker on Collecting Timepieces: A Love Affair with Craftsmanship

During our conversation with Eddie Goziker, his passion for horology was palpable. Eddie, who built his first substantial collection while working in the watch industry in his early twenties, offered sage advice on collecting— one that defies typical investment strategies.

Rolex Daytona 126500LN Panda and 116500LN Panda

"Buy what you love and buy what you want to wear," he advised. For Eddie, the joy of owning a watch lies in wearing it, not merely placing it in a safe to accumulate value. It’s a philosophy that resonates particularly well with those who view watches as wearable art rather than static investments.

He also emphasized the importance of budgeting and buying within one's means, cautioning against breaking the bank for a single luxury piece. Eddie described the thrill of building a collection piece by piece, in a way that suits one's lifestyle—whether that means acquiring a classic Patek Philippe Nautilus for its timeless design, or a Richard Mille tourbillon to admire its technical complexity. It is this measured, thoughtful approach that has helped many first-time buyers transition into avid collectors without falling prey to the volatility of watch markets.

RICHARD MILLE RM17-01 WHITE CERAMIC & Rose Gold Manual Winding TOURBILLON

On what makes a good investment, Eddie highlighted iconic brands such as Patek Philippe, Rolex, Richard Mille, and F.P. Journe. These brands, he noted, are reliable because of their scarcity and historical prestige. A Rolex Daytona or Patek Philippe Aquanaut doesn’t just hold value—it holds stories, memories, and an unmistakable connection to the collector’s journey through time.

Curated Exclusivity: Wrist Aficionado's Approach to Luxury

For collectors, Wrist Aficionado offers something beyond mere products—they provide access. With their curated collection of rare and limited-edition timepieces, Eddie and Vadim have created a space where collectors can trust not only in the authenticity of their pieces but also in the expertise of those behind them. The boutique's dedication to sourcing exclusive watches has made it a trusted destination for those seeking timepieces that reflect both craftsmanship and personality.

Their expansion into jewelry and luxury bags broadens the horizon of what the brand offers. It caters to the collector who is not just looking for a watch, but for a complete luxury lifestyle experience—the kind of person who sees in a Richard Mille tourbillon not just a watch, but a tribute to performance and precision that parallels their own passions, whether for racing, haute couture, or modern art.

A Lifestyle Symbol Beyond Time

As the event drew to a close, one could feel the magnetism of these timepieces, their intricate designs, and the stories they told. Wrist Aficionado’s automotive-themed showcase was more than a presentation of luxury watches; it was a celebration of what it means to take the wheel of one’s lifestyle, to appreciate craftsmanship, and to live life at the intersection of heritage and modernity. Eddie Goziker and Vadim Yakubov have given collectors around the world an opportunity not just to wear history but to make it—one carefully curated timepiece at a time.

INSTA-GUARD Revolutionizing On-Demand Security Services Across the UK

Discover How Francis Charles Jones is Redefining Safety with a Faith-Driven, Technology-Enabled Security Platform Serving London and Beyond

Hope is on its way. This is not just the tagline of Insta-Guard; it is the driving philosophy behind Francis Charles Jones's mission to transform the security industry. From the idea's conception during the trying times of COVID-19 to the launch of the first-of-its-kind on-demand security app in the UK, Charles's story is one of passion, perseverance, and a belief in creating positive change where it is needed most.

A Vision Born from a Pandemic

"The inspiration for Insta-Guard struck during the challenging days of COVID-19," Charles recalls. With over 20 years in the security industry, he witnessed firsthand how businesses were adapting to the shifting dynamics brought by the pandemic. Automation was transforming every industry, and Charles knew the time was right to bring similar innovation to security services.

He described the traditional security process as cumbersome and often riddled with inefficiencies: finding professionals, assigning them shifts, managing their arrival, and tracking their progress. This process was slow, leaving both clients and security professionals frustrated. "I had what I can only describe as a God-given vision: to automate and transform security services across the UK," he shares.

The resulting vision was Insta-Guard—a streamlined, on-demand platform that would bring security professionals and clients together

in real time. Under the trading name FCEM Limited (which stands for For Christ Empowers Me), Insta-Guard was born out of both innovation and faith. "We’re not just building a business; we’re building a system of trust, powered by faith and the belief that security can be delivered in a smarter, more responsive way," Charles emphasizes.

The Journey from Concept to Reality

Turning the concept of Insta-Guard into a functioning platform was not without challenges. "I initially set a six-month timeline for the app’s development, but it ended up taking four years," Charles laughs, the fatigue of that journey still present in his tone, yet overpowered by his sense of accomplishment. "Every day, every hour, every minute, my thoughts were on the app. I harassed my wife endlessly with 'what if the app did this, what if it did that?' for four and a half years."

Finding the right app development partner was only one hurdle. Creating an intuitive user experience, developing the geofencing technology, implementing secure payment gateways, and ensuring seamless VoIP communication all demanded patience and ingenuity. Staffing was yet another uphill battle, with the initial goal of recruiting 100 security professionals eventually growing to over 1,700 guards. "It’s proof of what can be achieved with determination and focus," he says proudly.

Yet, Charles remains humble. "Insta-Guard isn’t perfectly polished yet. It is a new service currently available in London, with plans for expansion across the UK. I’m not Amazon or Uber. I’m just a local guy acting on instinct and trying to make a difference with the resources I have."

Revolutionizing Security with an On-Demand Model

Insta-Guard offers a level of flexibility previously unheard of in traditional security services. "Proactive is always better than reactive," Charles notes, likening security to taking vitamins to prevent illness rather than seeking treatment once it’s too late. This philosophy underpins Insta-Guard's on-demand model, where clients can request assistance via an app, much like ordering a ride.

"There is no security-on-demand application in the UK yet—we’re the front runners," Charles says. Insta-Guard's geofencing technology ensures that clients are matched with the nearest available security professional, reducing response times significantly. While the service is not yet broadly tested, it is gaining attention and users due to its innovative and convenient access to qualified security professionals. Whether it's static guarding, door supervision, or even close protection, Insta-Guard meets diverse needs instantly, without the hidden fees or long contracts typical of the industry.

Types of Jobs and Clients

Insta-Guard's services cater to a wide range of clients and situations that require immediate security solutions. Here are some examples of the types of jobs and clients who use our guard services:

Hit-and-Run Incident: On a bank holiday weekend, intruders broke through the security gates, crashing their vehicle into the main building in an attempt to rob the business. The client requested a physical security presence on-site as soon as possible until they resumed work on Tuesday morning.

Event Security: Clients organizing events often require trained security personnel to manage crowd control, ensure safety, and handle any unexpected situations.

Student Campus Security: A student campus required 24/7 security guards to ensure the safety of students, staff, and facilities.

Restaurant Dispute: A restaurant faced legal issues and had been locked out of their own premises. They needed security presence to manage access and ensure a peaceful resolution.

Dentist Practice Security: After a dentist was dismissed, the managing director wanted InstaGuard on-site as there were concerns about potential conflict when the dentist returned to collect his belongings.

Real Estate Security: Real estate properties often require security services to protect vacant homes or buildings, ensuring that properties remain secure and untouched until sale or tenancy.

Vacant Property Protection: In urban areas, vacant properties are vulnerable to vandalism or squatting. Insta-Guard provides reliable security services to maintain these sites until they are ready for new occupants.

These diverse scenarios demonstrate how InstaGuard is equipped to handle a wide spectrum of security needs, from urgent emergencies to ongoing protective services, offering peace of mind to clients across various industries.

We’re not just building a business; we’re building a system of trust, powered by faith and the belief that security can be delivered in a smarter, more responsive way.

Encouraging Client Engagement

At Insta-Guard, we specialize in providing tailored security services, including Real Estate Security, Event Security, and Vacant Property Protection. We encourage potential clients to call ahead to schedule security services. Our advanced dispatch system ensures seamless service delivery, linking customers to guards efficiently through a controller-based system.

Insta-Guard plans to expand its security services throughout the UK; however, our primary focus and main operations are currently in London. With a strong presence in the capital, we are equipped to provide high-quality security solutions tailored to meet the needs of the metropolitan area. For those outside of London, feel free to contact us via our website or call our control center, which is available 24/7 for further inquiries.

Empowering Security Professionals

Insta-Guard is not just about convenience for clients; it’s also a platform built to uplift security professionals. "Unlike traditional firms, Insta-Guard provides contractors with tools to build their brand. They get unique IDs, business cards, car magnets—anything they need to enhance their visibility," Charles explains. Moreover, Insta-Guard’s structure gives these professionals autonomy, allowing them to work flexibly and independently. "We reward punctuality and professionalism. Arriving early means a bigger percentage of the fee, which motivates our contractors and ensures quality for our clients."

Technology Behind Insta-Guard

The technology that powers Insta-Guard is what makes it truly revolutionary. "Our platform is a robust combination of mobile app technology, real-time data processing, and a distributed network of trained professionals," Charles says. From a user-friendly app interface to AI-driven dispatch algorithms, every element is designed with speed, simplicity, and safety in mind.

"When a request comes in, our AI dispatch ensures the closest guard is notified, while realtime GPS tracking and secure VoIP calling add extra layers of efficiency and security," Charles elaborates. The app’s backend is cloud-based, providing reliability and scalability, even during peak demand.

Privacy is also paramount, with SSL encryption, secure token-based user authentication, and encrypted password storage, all designed to ensure that users’ data remains protected. "We’re committed to providing not just security but also peace of mind."

Building Community and Looking Ahead

Beyond its core services, Insta-Guard is contributing to community safety in broader ways. "We plan to organize workshops, collaborate with local organizations, and support law enforcement by providing real-time data and

surveillance support," Charles explains. "Our aim is to foster a culture of vigilance and safety, helping people feel empowered to take control of their own security."

When asked about the future of Insta-Guard, Charles is hopeful. "By 2025, I see Insta-Guard becoming a cornerstone of community safety. It’s not just about building a business—it’s about creating a positive impact and providing reassurance and hope. God has blessed me with this vision, and I’m confident He will bring the right people alongside me to make it a reality."

Pulling Hope from Adversity

For Charles, Insta-Guard is more than an app; it’s a movement. "Our tagline, Hope is on its way, is something I live by," he says. Whether assisting a business in crisis or providing personal protection for an individual, Insta-Guard represents hope in action—a practical solution born from empathy and a desire to serve.

REVEL ROUGE’S HANK STAMPFL

Continues to Take His Show on the Road

The cutting-edge event company Revel Rouge is setting the hospitality and entertainment industry ablaze in New York City, throughout the US, and globally. Hank Stampfl, the visionary maestro behind this mad mix of sophisticated and rustic events, has brought his extensive theatrical background to this table and to his many fetes where he sets the stage, strikes the lights, and designs the sound and stunning surrounds while the dishes dance on the plates. This experience, an explosive feast for the senses, is known as being Rouged.

No two Revel Rouge events are ever alike, as you may find a fusion of Burlesque and Broadway with a side of Cirque and a fashion-savvy finish. Or perhaps an opulent seaside soiree, a billionaire’s BBQ, an evocative island wedding, or a sit-down celebrity chef dinner with the most discerning guest list in the city.

Whatever the occasion, Hank and his esteemed team meticulously curate every element of his turnkey events from start to finish in the city’s most-coveted venues, hidden hideaways, and elaborate mansions. He lit the Empire State Building for a client’s brand party, dined at the top of the Rock at the sleek 610 Rockefeller, and danced the night away at NY’s Public Library with his guests.

On the road, he orchestrated a romantic wedding renewal vow at the famed Sagamore Hotel on Lake George aboard their 72-foot replica of a 10th-century touring vessel filled with 5,000 white roses. To add a bit of naughty to his nice, he recently turned a tennis court into a quarter-million-dollar Deadly Sins Halloween soiree in Dorado Beach at The Ritz Carlton.

If you are licking your hospitality chops and want a taste of this, you must plan well in advance to be Rouged. The holiday season and summer seasons are booked several months to a year out as Hank and the team jet-set 24/7 between the city and The Hamptons and their many haunts, from LA to Palm Springs and West Palm Beach to Jackson Hole and Aspen and Paris and St. Barth, to name but a few of his global outposts.

Whatever the backdrop, it is his vision and commitment to supporting the worlds top talents, from highbrow celebrity chefs to underground aerialists, musicians, and fierce fashion designers, alongside the city’s hidden subway artists. His passion is palpable, and his vision is unrivaled.

Many steps led to this moment and his success. Years ago, Hank headed to the city following the steps of fellow Oklahoma musical theater alum and Broadway’s darling, Kristen Chenoweth. He bounced between Broadway and the city’s top entertainment venues with shows for his theatrical company Speakeasy Moderne to the Upper East Side, where he oversaw all at Chat Noir off Madison Avenue.

With or without Ozempic, the well-heeled and the city’s Housewives are forever hungry for more Hank. They followed his feast to Bloomingdales, where he blew up David Burke’s business into a multi-million-dollar production. After heading downtown to The West Village, he had several celebs on speed dial, including the city’s sexiest Sarah Jessica, Broadway Broderick, Jenny’s ex Ben, and a flurry of fans from the fashion world, including Calvin, Vera, Nicole Miller, and Marc Jacobs and a slew of others as they could not get enough of him or his stint at Sant Ambroeus.

Striking out on his own eight years ago was the next best step. His business has been a runaway success ever since. Throughout seven TV seasons, he graced Bravo’s airwaves filming with the OG, NYC Housewives. On many occasions, he was setting the tone, table, and tempo for many fiery fetes with the ladies on and off air, including Sonja’s legendary Burlesque, Ramona Singer’s birthday party, Luann’s Frose launch, the 1970 beauty pageant in the final OG season where he was the emcee.

If getting Rouged is on your holiday wish list, get in line to attend an event or collaborate with this maestro. His dance card is getting busier, and he has more passport stamps on his horizon as he heads to Tokyo, Dubai, and Cape Town.

His finger is firmly on the party pulse. But it’s more than a party for Hanky Panky, as his clients and friends lovingly call him. It’s his genuine passion for parties and, more importantly, the people that shine the brightest.

THE LEGACY OF LUXURY

Inside the Transformation and Crown Jewel of 108 Leonard

From Renaissance Revival Splendor to Modern Mastery, Tribeca’s Crown Penthouse Redefines Opulence

Stepping onto Leonard Street in Tribeca, one cannot help but be drawn to the majestic presence of 108 Leonard. This iconic building, originally crafted in the 1890s by the esteemed architects McKim, Mead & White, has been meticulously restored and reimagined for the 21st century. Its transformation from a historic landmark to a beacon of modern luxury is epitomized in its crowning jewel: the Crown Penthouse, a triplex residence that marries timeless elegance with contemporary sophistication.

A Marriage of History and Modernity

The journey of 108 Leonard is a testament to the harmonious blend of past and present. Once the headquarters of the New York Life Insurance Company, this Renaissance Revival masterpiece occupies an entire city block, boasting intricate stonework, grand arches, and a stately façade that has witnessed over a century of New York City's evolution.

When Elad Group embarked on revitalizing this landmark, they envisioned more than a mere renovation. Collaborating with the award-winning design firm Jeffrey Beers International (JBI), they sought to honor the building's storied past while infusing it with the luxuries and conveniences demanded by today's discerning residents.

"With 108 Leonard, we embraced the challenge of transforming a McKim, Mead & White masterpiece into a modern sanctuary," reflects Tim Rooney, Partner at JBI. "The building’s extraordinary architectural heritage was our canvas—a delicate balance of old and new that would belong in the grand homes of Paris and yet is so naturally rooted in Downtown Manhattan."

The Vision Behind 108 Leonard

Upon entering through one of the three grand limestone portals, residents and guests are greeted by lobbies that are both intimate and awe-inspiring. The Leonard Street lobby, with its restored stone walls, decorative moldings, and landmarked chandelier, exudes classic grandeur. The flooring, a chevron pattern of French Blue de Savoie stone framed by Wallace Creek Limestone, pays homage to the building's historical roots while introducing a contemporary flair.

This townhouse in the sky seamlessly blends restored architectural details with modern design, offering exceptional outdoor space and access to unparalleled amenities.
Elyse Leff, Elad Group

"We created three towers, each with its own lobby, doormen, and elevators, to cultivate a more intimate building feel," explained renowned Jeffrey Beers, founder of JBI. "Through a contemporary interpretation of Renaissance Revival, layering of luxurious materiality for warmth, and attention to detail and function, the interiors are inviting, hospitable, and sleek."

The motor reception area, a rarity in Manhattan, features a heated Belgian block granite driveway, ensuring a discreet and comfortable arrival. This thoughtful integration of convenience and luxury underscores the meticulous planning that went into every aspect of the building's redesign.

The Crown Penthouse: A Townhouse in the Sky

Ascending to the pinnacle of 108 Leonard, the Crown Penthouse—also known as Terrace Penthouse North—is a residence that transcends ordinary definitions of luxury. Priced at $24,450,000, this 6,252-square-foot triplex offers five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and two powder rooms, along with an additional 2,173 square feet of private outdoor space.

"This is the pinnacle of luxury living in the heart of Tribeca," declares Elena Sarkissian, Director of Sales at 108 Leonard with Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. "This extraordinary triplex blends the tranquility of a private sanctuary with the vibrant energy of the city’s new gallery district in Tribeca."

Upon entering the 14th floor, residents are welcomed by a gracious foyer that leads to a ballroom-sized great room. This space is a masterpiece of architectural prowess, featuring approximately 16-foot ceilings, massive arched windows, and a marble fireplace. The room is bathed in natural light, offering panoramic views of the North, including the Empire State Building, and to the East, the iconic bridges spanning the East River.

The adjacent windowed eat-in kitchen is both a chef's dream and an entertainer's delight. Custom Scavolini cabinetry, designed exclusively by JBI for 108 Leonard, is complemented by Arabescato Cerviole marble countertops and a waterfall island. Premium Miele appliances— including a 6-burner gas cooktop, double dishwasher, and a 100-bottle wine refrigerator— ensure that every culinary endeavor is met with state-of-the-art functionality.

"The towering arched windows and soaring ceilings—features impossible to replicate today—set the stage for a truly singular design experience unlike any other," adds Sarkissian.

An Elevated Lifestyle Across Three Floors

The journey continues to the 15th floor, accessible via a private elevator or a hidden internal staircase. This level is dedicated to leisure and comfort, featuring a spacious media room with a glass wall that opens onto a generous southern terrace. A wet bar and a signature powder room enhance the space, making it ideal for entertaining. Three additional bedroom suites,

each with en suite baths and individual access to the southern or northern terraces, provide ample accommodation for family and guests.

The 16th floor is reserved exclusively for the primary suite, a private sanctuary that occupies the entire level. Wrapped in glass walls, the suite offers breathtaking exposures to the North, East, and South. Residents can wake up to views of the Empire State Building, gaze upon the East River's iconic bridges, or enjoy the architectural beauty of the Municipal Building and City Hall.

This floor also features an expansive east-facing private terrace, highlighted by the building's historic copper-clad cupola. Inside, the suite boasts a marble fireplace, a midnight kitchen,

and generous walk-in closets. Two separate glass-wrapped bathrooms, adorned with highhoned Calacatta Mandria marble, offer luxury at its finest. One bathroom features a freestanding soaking tub facing the Empire State Building and a separate shower, while the other includes an oversized walk-in shower.

State-of-the-Art Amenities: Extending the Home

Life at 108 Leonard extends beyond the private residences. The building offers over 20,000 square feet of wellness-driven amenities designed for entertainment, relaxation, and rejuvenation. These spaces reflect the same attention to detail and luxurious materiality found throughout the residences.

The towering arched windows and soaring ceilings—features impossible to replicate today—set the stage for a truly singular design experience.
Elena Sarkissian, Douglas Elliman

The 75-foot lap pool, lined with mosaic glass tiles and set beneath a porcelain teak plank ceiling with mirrored accents, provides a tranquil escape from the city's hustle. Adjacent to the pool are hot tubs, sauna and steam rooms, offering a full spa experience.

For fitness enthusiasts, a 3,200-square-foot fitness center features state-of-the-art equipment set against a backdrop of porcelain ivory travertine walls and teak wood accents. The space is designed to inspire wellness and vitality.

The rooftop entertaining suites are a testament to the building's commitment to luxury living. Landscaped gardens, serene water features with reflecting pools, and custom outdoor kitchens equipped with barbecues and refrigerators create an idyllic setting for hosting gatherings under the open sky. Cozy lounge areas with gas fireplaces offer the perfect ambiance for evening soirees.

"The amenities were designed to create a sense of a large villa, with modern details and wellappointed spaces," notes Beers. "They offer a sense of luxury beyond the limits of one’s individual apartment."

An Invitation to Timeless Elegance

Situated in one of New York City's most coveted neighborhoods, 108 Leonard benefits from Tribeca's rich tapestry of history, art, and culture. The building itself has become a cultural landmark, now home to the Jack Shainman Gallery, one of the many prestigious art galleries that have recently relocated to the area, solidifying Tribeca as the city's new gallery district.

"Tribeca’s unique story, as one of the most historic and treasured New York City enclaves, was our inspiration for the contemporary finishes," says Rooney. "It's a delicate balance of old and new that is so naturally rooted in Downtown Manhattan."

The Crown Penthouse at 108 Leonard is more than a residence; it's an experience—a harmonious blend of historical grandeur and modern luxury that redefines urban living. From the meticulous restoration of its Renaissance Revival architecture to the thoughtfully designed amenities and living spaces, every aspect of 108 Leonard has been curated to offer an unparalleled lifestyle.

"The Crown Penthouse at 108 Leonard presents a truly unique opportunity to live in a piece of Tribeca's history," remarks Elyse Leff, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Elad Group. "This townhouse in the sky seamlessly blends restored architectural details with modern design, offering exceptional outdoor

space and access to the building's unparalleled amenities."

As the sun sets over the Manhattan skyline, casting golden hues across the arched windows and terraces of the Crown Penthouse, it's evident that this residence is a crown above all— a symbol of luxury that pays homage to New York City's illustrious past while setting new standards for its future.

Bringing CHRISTMAS MAGIC TO LIFE

Tips and Trends

Expert
from Stephanie Dardenne of Joy By

When it comes to holiday decor, few people have the expertise and passion that Stephanie Dardenne brings to the table. With years of experience crafting luxurious Christmas displays for luxury hotels and resorts, Stephanie is well-versed in the art of transforming spaces into holiday wonderlands. This season, she’s brought her magic to Coral Gables, opening Joy By, a festive pop-up located at 348 Miracle Mile, that’s quickly become Miami’s go-to destination for sophisticated, personalized holiday decor. Stephanie’s approach centers on helping each client create a unique and cohesive holiday look—whether they’re aiming for timeless elegance, nostalgic charm, or vibrant modernity. From decorating classes to an enchanting range of ornaments, her store is brimming with ideas and guidance. We sat down with Stephanie to gain some expert insights into making holiday decorating a breeze, helping readers bring a touch of luxury into their homes.

What are the most common challenges people face when decorating their Christmas tree, and how do you recommend overcoming them?

One of the biggest issues I encounter is clients using only one size of ornament. The key to creating a tree with depth and dimension is mixing various ornament sizes. By incorporating different shapes and sizes, you achieve a visually stunning tree filled with interest and character. This small change often makes a world of difference and can really take your tree to the next level.

Could you share your top tips for creating a Christmas tree that looks as elegant and polished as those found in luxury resorts and high-end Christmas shops?

Mix Textures, Shapes, and Scales: To create a tree that looks luxurious and visually rich, incorporate a variety of textures, shapes, and sizes. Combine matte, glossy, and glitter ornaments to add depth, and mix in different shapes like finials, spheres, and teardrops. Varying the size of the ornaments—from tiny accents to larger statement pieces—will add dimension and prevent the tree from looking flat.

Layer in Greenery and Picks: Add layers with picks. These elements create natural-looking fullness and give the tree a professional finish. Picks can be tucked throughout the branches to add volume and visual interest while also filling any gaps.

Stick to a Cohesive Color Scheme: Choose two to three colors that complement each other and stick to them throughout your tree. This will give your tree a polished, unified look. Metallics like gold, silver, or champagne pair beautifully with soft greens, whites, or even rich jewel tones for an upscale, cohesive feel.

Focus on Balance and Layering: Don’t just hang ornaments on the outer branches. To create a fuller, more layered effect, strategically place ornaments deeper into the tree as well. Positioning some ornaments closer to the trunk and layering outward adds dimension and makes the tree look beautifully abundant and balanced.

Opt for Warm White Lights: While lighting is a matter of personal preference, warm white lights are my top recommendation for creating a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The soft, golden glow of warm white lights gives your tree a welcoming, festive ambiance and complements any color scheme you choose.

Now that your pop-up shop in Miami is up and running, what holiday decoration trends have you seen resonating most with your customers this year?

Now that the pop-up shop in Miami is buzzing with holiday spirit, we’re seeing a few key decoration trends that customers are really connecting with this season:

Traditional: Classic holiday decor, like rich reds, greens, and golds, along with timeless ornaments, is making a strong comeback. People love the warmth and familiarity of traditional colors and patterns that instantly evoke holiday cheer.

Natural: There’s a growing appreciation for nature-inspired decor, with greenery, raffia, and earthy tones taking center stage. Customers are drawn to elements that bring the outdoors in, creating a cozy, organic feel.

Moody and Organic: Darker, richer colors paired with organic textures are making waves. Deep jewel tones like emerald and burgundy, combined with natural elements, are creating an elegant, moody vibe that feels sophisticated and fresh.

A Return to Nostalgia: Customers are embracing decor that brings back memories of holidays past. Ornaments that feel vintage or carry a retro touch are especially popular, as people want to infuse their spaces with a sense of nostalgia. We see this in the color, tone, and shade that people are gravitating towards.

For families with small children or pets, what are your must-have decorating tips to ensure safety while still achieving a beautiful tree?

Switch to Shatterproof or Drop-Resistant Ornaments: Opt for shatterproof ornaments to avoid breakable glass and any hazards that come with it. Shatterproof options are much better than what they used to be, and you can create a beautiful tree entirely in shatterproof with picks without sacrificing look and feel.

How can homeowners mix old, sentimental ornaments with new decor to maintain a cohesive and stylish look?

Yes! You absolutely can! Choose a color palette that ties everything together. Even if your sentimental ornaments vary in style or color, anchoring them within a consistent color scheme helps create a cohesive look. I often recommend options for a more traditional color scheme that is grounded in a metal tone. For example, a red with a champagne metallic tone often works when tying in sentimental ornaments.

Can you share any insider tricks for adding final touches that make a tree truly stand out, such as lighting placement or ribbon arrangements?

Don’t forget picks! Picks, branches, and sprays add depth, texture, and fullness to your tree. Use them to fill in any gaps or add pops of color and shimmer. You can cluster them near the top or scatter them throughout the tree to create visual interest and make it feel professionally styled.

What are some simple yet impactful ways to decorate other areas of the home, such as mantels, staircases, or entryways, to create a cohesive holiday atmosphere?

Focus on a few key spots, like the mantel, staircase, or entryway, rather than decorating every surface. This approach creates a more intentional and polished look, allowing your decorations to stand out rather than get lost in a sea of decor.

Closing Thoughts

With Stephanie’s expert tips, transforming your home into a festive retreat becomes a joyful, creative experience. From adding dimension to your tree to curating cohesive decor throughout your space, her advice empowers you to craft a holiday atmosphere that feels both luxurious and personal. Embrace the magic of the season with a beautifully styled space that reflects your unique holiday spirit.

The holiday season offers a perfect opportunity to turn your dining table into a masterpiece, where thoughtful design and festive charm come together to create an unforgettable gathering space. Building a Cohesive Theme

Every unforgettable tablescape begins with a theme, harmonizing every detail to create a seamless and captivating visual experience, blending elegance with personal expression. Consider anchoring your design with a striking centerpiece—perhaps a seasonal floral arrangement bursting with deep reds, lush greens, or snowy whites. Alternatively, let color guide your aesthetic. Rich sapphire tones or the soothing serenity of soft sage can infuse the setting with vibrancy, while a minimalist all-white palette accented with metallics or shimmering crystals exudes a refined winter elegance.

The Art of Layering

Layering textures and finishes is an essential technique in achieving a multidimensional tablescape. Start with a luxurious tablecloth or runner that complements your theme, such as linen for understated sophistication or velvet for a dramatic winter feel. Add charger plates, dinnerware, and stemware in varying finishes—think glossy porcelain against matte metallic chargers, or crystal glassware paired with natural wood accents. The Kathy Kuo Home Collection showcases the art of balancing these layers, offering pieces that blend modern craftsmanship with timeless appeal.

Natural Elements for Seasonal Charm

Holiday tablescapes feel most inviting when infused with seasonal elements. Fresh greenery, such as eucalyptus or pine sprigs, can frame your centerpiece or be woven into garlands along the table. Introduce warmth with candlelight—choose pillar candles in elegant holders, or mix taper candles with tea lights for varied height and glow. Metallic accents, whether gold flatware or copper napkin rings, can subtly echo the festive spirit while remaining sophisticated. The interplay between nature and metallics is a signature of The Kathy Kuo Home Collection, reflecting the season’s beauty with effortless charm.

Finishing Touches That Captivate

The final details elevate your tablescape from simply beautiful to truly magical. Personalize each place setting with thoughtful touches, such as hand-lettered name cards or miniature wreaths placed atop napkins. For a touch of playfulness, incorporate ornaments or decorative figurines in line with your theme. Don’t forget to appeal to the senses—scented candles or a subtle arrangement of cinnamon sticks and dried orange slices can lend an aromatic finish that completes the sensory experience.

By blending thoughtful design, tactile details, and seasonal elements, your holiday table becomes more than a place to dine—it’s a stage for togetherness, celebration, and unforgettable memories. With Kathy Kuo Home’sexquisite collection as your muse, designing the perfect holiday tablescape is an art form well within reach.

DUNE IT RIGHT

A Luxe Escape at Charleston’s Wild Dunes Resort

Wild Dunes Resort on the sun-kissed Isle of Palms is Charleston’s crown jewel, a destination where upscale Southern hospitality blends effortlessly with beachside charm. As the only resort on the island, it feels like a private haven, blending luxury and nature seamlessly. Just a quick 30-minute drive from downtown Charleston and only eight miles from the airport, Wild Dunes makes for a fabulous destination any time of year, with each season offering its own unique appeal. The moment I walked into the cozy lobby of the Sweetgrass Inn and was greeted by the friendly staff, I knew I was in for something special.

Resort Ambiance: Southern Charm with a Splash of Coastal Cool

Wild Dunes knows how to make you feel right at home, with a mix of high-end comfort and breezy, beachy vibes. My room was warm and welcoming, complete with a balcony overlooking one of the resort’s many pools—a lovely view for those moments when you just want to look out and take it all in. Exploring the resort, I found cute boutiques, a surf shop, and even a little ice cream spot for a sweet treat between beach days. The pastel-colored houses on the property, styled after Charleston’s famous Rainbow Row, add a nice local touch. And with the beach just steps away, it was easy to reserve a spot with chairs and an umbrella for a day of pure relaxation by the ocean.

Dining at Wild Dunes: A Taste of the Lowcountry

Dining at Wild Dunes felt like a mini tour through Charleston’s best flavors. With 17 unique spots to choose from, each meal was a new discovery. Brian Richards, the resort’s Food and Beverage Director, gave us the lowdown on the resort’s dining offerings, each with its own twist. One highlight? Their upcoming wine program features Napa’s legendary Far Niente wines, like a crisp Chardonnay and a rich Cabernet Sauvignon, at an accessible $59 per tasting. Weekly events like Shuck & Savor add to the experience, with an “Oyster 101” from the chef, where you can learn to shuck. At Oystercatcher, Wild Dunes’ go-to spot for seafood, I indulged in a seafood tower, squid ink linguini, beer-braised octopus, and more. Each dish was bursting with flavor, showcasing the fresh, coastal ingredients that the region is known for. One thing I love when I travel is diving into the local cuisine, and Oystercatcher fully embraces that spirit by highlighting South Carolina’s rich seafood heritage in each dish. This is one of those rare places where you truly

can’t go wrong with what you order—everything is that good. That’s why the family-style, shareable plates are such a brilliant idea; you can try a little bit of everything. I ended the meal with a slice of pumpkin cheesecake that’s still on my mind—just the right amount of sweet to cap off a wonderful meal.

One of the most unique touches at Wild Dunes is their very own bee garden, managed by Executive Chef Rob Frederick. Located right on the resort, the bee garden plays a key role in Wild Dunes' dedication to sustainable practices. The bees produce fresh honey used in several of the resort’s dishes and cocktails, infusing them with the rich, natural sweetness of local honey. I even tried a cocktail called the “Healthy Buzz,” a refreshing blend of citrus and the resort’s own honey, which added an earthy sweetness to the drink. Along with honey, the garden produces fresh herbs and vegetables for Oystercatcher, reinforcing the resort’s commitment to sourcing ingredients sustainably and locally. It’s one more way Wild Dunes brings an authentic, coastal taste to the table while supporting the local environment.

Spa Serenity: Recharge at Sweetgrass

The Spa at Sweetgrass feels like a retreat all its own, channeling that fresh coastal vibe into every corner. I began my spa experience with a reiki circle—a new practice for me, and I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first. But after the session, I felt surprisingly relaxed and open to the energy-balancing effects, especially after the reiki master shared some fascinating insights about my chakras. Reiki is designed to encourage the body’s natural healing process, making it the perfect warm-up before my fullbody massage. The 60-minute Wellbeing Massage was pure bliss—a custom Swedish massage with light to medium pressure that my therapist tailored to meet my exact needs, working out every tension point from head to toe.

The spa also offers unique perks like vitamin C showers, zero-gravity chairs, saunas, and hot tubs—everything you could want for a day of complete relaxation. If you’re looking for a true reset, the spa experience here is hard to beat.

Oceanfront Rentals: A Home Away from Home

For those who want their own private slice of paradise, Wild Dunes has 175 rental properties that bring coastal charm to life. I got a peek inside Dunecrest 6, which sits right on the water,

and let me tell you, the views are stunning— floor-to-ceiling windows look directly out over the ocean. Perfect for a big family holiday or a bachelorette getaway, this property blends coastal and modern decor, creating an atmosphere that’s both stylish and relaxed.

Staying in a rental means you can still enjoy all the resort amenities, from pools to golf and tennis, while property managers make your stay effortless with housekeeping services and even dinner deliveries for special occasions, like Thanksgiving. Rental prices vary depending on the season, so you can plan a stay that fits just right for your group, whether for a summer retreat or a cozy holiday gathering.

Game On: Tennis, Pickleball, and Golf

If you’re up for some sports, Wild Dunes has you covered. I took a pickleball lesson with Mike Delaney, who was as patient as he was knowledgeable, making it easy for beginners to pick up the game. The resort’s courts are top-notch, with expert instruction available for both tennis and pickleball. In fact, Wild Dunes has earned prestigious rankings, including #1 for both its tennis staff and junior program, and #2 overall tennis resort in the world. Some of the tennis courts are even night-lit, so you can enjoy a match under the stars.

Golf lovers will feel right at home here too— Golf Digest named Wild Dunes one of the "Best in State" courses in South Carolina. Between the Links Course and Harbor Course, you get 36 holes of stunning scenery, challenging play, and breathtaking ocean views, with Instagram-worthy spots like the famous “Edgar Allan Poe” tree on the 14th hole. It’s a golfer’s dream, with just the right mix of views and challenge.

Exploring South Carolina’s Lowcountry: An Eco Tour

One of the highlights of my stay was the Barrier Island Eco Tour, a private charter organized by the resort. The resort works closely with their Eco Tour partners and as a guest of the resort, the concierge can help book these reservations. Our engaging and friendly guide took us through South Carolina’s lowcountry, where we cruised past oyster beds, spotted bottlenose dolphins, and even stopped on a sandy bar crawling with little blue crabs. We explored “shark hole” along the intercoastal waterway, and as we took in the scenic marsh views along the back roads of Isle of Palms, we also spotted ground pelicans adding to the tour’s wildlife sightings. With funny stories from our guide and his sweet dog Miss Polly as our extra tour companion, it was an experience that truly brought the natural beauty of the area to life.

Celebrating the Season with CommunityCentered Holiday Festivities

Wild Dunes offers a delightful array of Thanksgiving events that bring everyone together for the season. The festivities begin with the annual Turkey Trot 5K along the Grand Pavilion beachfront, inviting guests of all ages for a spirited run by the ocean. Next, the Thanksgiving Golf Cart Parade adds a creative flair, with participants decorating their carts in festive themes to parade around the resort, cheered on by both guests and locals. For those looking to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving feast, Wild Dunes offers both Thanksgiving Dinner Delivered to your vacation home for an intimate celebration and The Feast at one of the resort’s dining venues, complete with seasonal dishes and live broadcasts of the Macy's Parade and NFL games.

As December rolls in, the resort transforms for the Holiday Festival, kicking off with Santa’s ceremonial lighting of the Christmas tree to mark the season’s start. This festive evening includes an oyster roast, gingerbread house decorating for children, and holiday treats for all. The Holiday Market follows soon after in Sweetgrass Plaza, where local artisans showcase handmade crafts, jewelry, and treats against the backdrop of live music. This pet-friendly market is the perfect setting for holiday shopping, bringing the community and guests together to enjoy the spirit of the season.

To welcome the New Year, Wild Dunes hosts a special Countdown to the "Noon" Year event designed for families. As the clock strikes noon, children and guests gather for a countdown, followed by a celebratory plunge into the pool, symbolizing a refreshing start to the new year.

A Day Exploring Downtown Charleston

Of course, no trip to Wild Dunes would be complete without a day spent in downtown Charleston. We ventured into the heart of the city, visiting some of Charleston’s most beloved landmarks, from the colorful homes of Rainbow Row to Riley Waterfront Park and its iconic Pineapple Fountain. Wandering down King Street was a delight, with its mix of shops, boutiques, and restaurants. We browsed trendy clothing stores, discovered cool Christmas shops, and took a break to enjoy coffee at a charming local café.

Charleston’s art scene is also a treasure trove— there are around 50 galleries in the area, and on the first Friday of every month, many open their doors for free entry. It was a treat to stroll through the galleries, soaking in the creativity and culture of Charleston. To finish off our day, we dined at Church and Union, a well-known restaurant housed in a historic church. The ambiance was unforgettable, and my server recommended the handmade braided ravioli, which was as delicious as promised—a perfect end to our Charleston adventure.

CHARTING PARADISE

Photos: Fraser Yachts

The Bahamas, with its crystalline waters and sun-drenched shores, is an undeniable magnet for luxury travelers, particularly as the colder months draw near. For those seeking a holiday that merges opulence with exclusivity, Fraser Yachts offers a truly unique way to experience this tropical paradise. At the heart of their offerings is AMORE, a 37-meter masterpiece crafted to redefine luxury yacht charters. Designed to balance comfort, style, and versatility, AMORE promises an escape that’s both intimate and grand, setting the stage for an unforgettable winter getaway.

Recently, I had the opportunity to tour AMORE, a vessel that has quickly become a crown jewel in Fraser’s fleet. Built in 2022 by Numarine, this 37XP motor yacht is a testament to meticulous design and thoughtful amenities. The tri-deck layout provides expansive spaces with an impressive 8-meter beam that opens up AMORE's interior for relaxation and entertainment. The yacht can host up to 12 guests across six beautifully appointed staterooms, including two master suites—an unusual luxury for a yacht this size. Each suite is a sanctuary, with the main deck master featuring expansive glass windows, while the bridge deck master includes floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that open onto the aft deck, blending indoor and outdoor living.

AMORE’s leisure offerings are equally remarkable. The interior was crafted by Can Yalman and showcases elegant, modern touches with panoramic windows, plush seating, and a dedicated cinema room with reclining chairs and inroom refreshments. Outside, guests are treated to a beach club complete with air conditioning, a wet bar, and ample lounging areas. The sundeck, with its Jacuzzi and bar, is an irresistible retreat where guests can soak in the sunshine or enjoy an alfresco meal. AMORE combines high-end comfort with versatile spaces, making it an ideal choice for family charters and private getaways alike.

Q: Sarah, AMORE offers a unique way to experience the Bahamas. What would you say makes chartering a yacht like AMORE an exceptional choice for luxury travelers this winter?

Sarah Egger: “AMORE is packed with impressive amenities. She has an extra media room and a beach club, which many yachts of this size don’t offer. Uniquely, she features two master suites, not just the standard one; both have king beds. In addition, there are three queen staterooms and a twin room with an extra Pullman for versatile guest arrangements. There’s even a seventh room, perfect for a nanny. AMORE’s layout is rare for a yacht of her size, providing ample space, which is ideal for family-oriented charters.”

Q: With your expertise, can you share some hidden gems or lesser-known destinations in the Bahamas that AMORE’s guests can explore?

Sarah Egger: “The Bahamas is full of secluded islands and cays, perfect for those who want privacy. The beauty of having a skilled crew and captain is that they can customize the itinerary to match guests' interests. Some prefer to anchor away from crowds, enjoying tranquil beaches, while others may want to dock and explore local towns. Unlike the Caribbean, which can be busier, the Bahamas has numerous tucked-away spots, where you can drop anchor, enjoy the views, and have an entire beach to yourself. It’s a special experience that’s all about choice and personalization.”

Q: Fraser has a reputation for unparalleled charter experiences. What unique amenities or services aboard AMORE enhance the luxury experience for guests?

Sarah Egger: “The beach club is a unique area at the waterline, located at the aft of the boat. It’s a shaded, air-conditioned space with seating, couches, and a bar. The transom opens up, allowing for direct access to the water and the swim platform. Families love it; grandparents or parents can relax in the cool space while watching the kids play with the array of water toys. There’s even an inflatable ‘aqua cabana,’ which acts like a floating playground. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy the water without always being in the sun.”

Q: As we head into peak charter season, what insider tips do you have for a seamless, unforgettable Bahamas yacht charter with Fraser?

Sarah Egger: “Working with a good charter broker is key. A broker gets to know the client’s needs—whether they want five or six staterooms, specific water toys, or even diving equipment. The broker will match the client with the perfect yacht and destination. They’ll coordinate with the captain to personalize everything, from dining preferences to activity planning. My role is to ensure that the crew and yacht are operating seamlessly, but the broker really shapes the client’s vision into reality.”

HOLIDAY ESCAPES IN THE BAHAMAS WITH FRASER YACHTS

As the winter holidays approach, the Bahamas transforms into a haven for those escaping the cold. With over 700 islands and cays, the archipelago is a wonderland of hidden beaches, private islands, and vibrant marine life. Aboard a luxury yacht, every destination becomes more than a place to visit; it’s an experience tailored to personal preferences, from secluded blue lagoons to lively marinas.

Fraser Yachts brings this level of exclusivity to the fore, with each charter meticulously designed to offer both adventure and relaxation. AMORE, with its abundant amenities and versatile spaces, embodies the ideal vessel for exploring the Bahamas during the holidays. Whether anchoring at a quiet bay for an evening under the stars or cruising between iconic spots like Nassau and the Exumas, AMORE provides a setting that balances the thrill of discovery with the comfort of a luxurious retreat.

For those who wish to celebrate the holidays in a way that combines privacy with grandeur, a Fraser yacht charter aboard AMORE is unmatched. From its elegant interiors to the thoughtful amenities like the beach club and cinema room, AMORE serves as both a luxurious escape and a gateway to the Bahamas’ most enchanting locales.

In choosing a Fraser yacht charter, travelers are not simply booking a holiday; they’re crafting a unique narrative, one that intertwines the best of Bahamian beauty with the finest in yachting luxury.

SWCRF 3RD ANNUAL KIDS CANCEL CANCER EVENT

LED BY TEENAGE ADVOCATES RAISES $70,000 FOR PEDIATRIC CANCER RESEARCH

The 3rd annual Kids Cancel Cancer, benefiting the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF), took place on Saturday October 26th , 2024 at Frames Bowling Lounge in New York City. In addition to raising $70,000 for critical pediatric cancer research, the event was an entertaining afternoon of bowling, ping pong, billiards, karaoke, games, auctions, great food and more.

"This event stands out from other SWCRF fundraisers because it was created and organized by kids," said Marion Waxman, event founder. "The Kids Cancel Cancer fundraiser enables the Foundation to support the groundbreaking work of two top pediatric cancer scientists—one at St. Jude’s Research Hospital and the other at Schneider Children’s Medical Center in Israel, who have worked collaboratively for many years to discover new, less toxic treatments.”

While pediatric cancer deaths have declined by 65 percent over the past few decades, cancer remains a leading cause of death for children and teenagers. In fact, it is estimated that 10,500 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed among children (birth to 14 years old) each year, and about 1,190 children will die from the disease.

Additionally, a recent study published in Aging AND Cancer found that childhood cancer survivors experience serious health issues in adult life, much earlier than their counterparts who did not have cancer as a kid. “This is why prioritizing research to develop new treatments for childhood cancer is so urgent,” said Mrs. Waxman.

Notable Attendees included: Mischa Abend, Abey Fuks, Ava Litman, Hayley Silvers, Jean Shafiroff, Lori Levine, Scott Levine, William T. Sullivan, Howie Schwartz.

Kids Cancel Cancer Committee: Scarlette Bejarano, Sasha Bejarano, Sylvia Blackwelder, Lillibeth Cohen, Mark Eisenhofer, Scott Eisenhofer, Jake Finley, Halle Forusz, Jagger Joseph, Lexi Klein, Annabelle Emerson Molinoff, Caroline Paradise, Kol Ross, Brielle Rothfeld, Juliette Rothfeld, Isabelle Sands, Ethan Silvers, Max Stein, Meica Roth, Sadie Rittberg, Sloane Stillman

HERE’S WHAT THEY’RE READING AT

SERENDIPITY LABS STAMFORD, CT…

UP FROM THE WATER: A JOURNEY OF IDENTITY, GRACE, AND REDEMPTION

At age 17, I awoke in wreckage on the side of the road to the overwhelming reality that a car accident had stolen away both my first love and my identity. This book is the story of a forty-year journey of a broken girl searching for a new identity – first in music, then in ministry, then through a career in law and business – before finally arriving at the realization that my identity does

not revolve around what I do, whom I admire, or whom the rest of the world thinks I should be. Identity is so much more than all of those things.

In writing Up from the Water, I came to understand that most of us tend to live our lives on the surface level, especially in a modern, Western culture that is dominated by social media. While we project a public façade of having it all together, most of us privately sojourn through life feeling hopelessly lost. Through weathering life’s storms, we’ve been dismasted, our sails have been shredded, our rudders have been broken, we’re taking on water, and we find ourselves adrift, tossed about at the mercy of wherever the currents and prevailing winds take us. It is only when we are willing and brave enough to cut the tether to our broken boats, jump overboard, and dive fully beneath the surface, leaving behind all of the lies that we’ve been told and the lies that we’ve told ourselves about ourselves, that we can emerge above the water and rise into the identity of who each of us is uniquely called to be.

This is the story of one woman’s journey. This is the story of my journey into and up from the water.

GENESIS: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, HOPE, AND THE HUMAN SPIRIT by Eric Schmidt, Henry A. Kissinger and Craig Mundie

As it absorbs data, gains agency, and intermediates between humans and reality, AI (Artificial Intelligence) will help us to address enormous crises, from climate change to geopolitical conflicts to income inequality. It might well solve some of the greatest mysteries of our universe and elevate the human spirit to unimaginable heights. But it will also pose challenges on a scale and of an intensity that we have never seen—usurping our power of independent judgment and action, testing our relationship with the divine, and perhaps even spurring a new phase in human evolution.

The last book of elder statesman Henry Kissinger, written with technologists Craig Mundie and Eric Schmidt, Genesis charts a course between blind faith and unjustified fear as it outlines an effective strategy for navigating the age of AI.
