Sob diversos aspectos, em diversas áreas, mudanças fundamentais estão ocorrendo agora, neste momento, em todo o mundo. Com velocidade e impactos nunca antes pensados, a informação, hoje, está na palma da mão. A necessidade quase histérica do novo é uma realidade e, na moda, não é diferente. Acontece que o mercado é diverso e os perfis de consumo também. O que é bom permanece, ainda que se transforme. É esse conceito que norteia o trabalho da Salt. A partir desta edição, ela está de cara nova, tanto no layout, como na proposta editorial, ainda mais consistente. Buscamos uma linguagem visual e escrita conectada com o tempo de agora e, ao mesmo tempo, com o pé no futuro. E porque respeitamos a diversidade, sabemos que, se há um mundo que pede pressa, há outro que aponta que está na hora de desacelerar e pensar quais são os valores que realmente interessam. No meio disso tudo, a Salt se firma como uma publicação de inspiração, criatividade e soluções, voltada para o mercado calçadista. O que nos guia é a paixão pelo que fazemos.

Quando a Hellen me convidou para ser novamente a editora da Salt, senti uma felicidade sem tamanho. Sempre tive um carinho enorme por esse projeto que une, em um mesmo produto, duas grandes paixões: fazer revista e o setor calçadista, com o qual convivi muito de perto em diversas ocasiões. E como não só eu, mas todo mundo aqui tem um amor enorme pelo que faz, chegamos a esta nova fase da Salt, muito contentes com o resultado. Quem assina a marca e o projeto gráfico, que dá à revista uma pegada contemporânea e antenada, é o designer Rafael Maia. O Rafa conseguiu captar a ideia, pensar lá na frente e apresentar um trabalho consistente, estudado e, claro, lindo de viver. Aliás, é isso que a gente quer: vida longa para a Salt. Reunimos uma equipe de primeira, que você vai conhecer aos poucos, da primeira à última página. Sapatos leves e fresquinhos devem acompanhar a rotina de quem se abastece da luz do verão nas ruas, no trabalho, na praia, na pool party, no jantar ou na balada.

O couro maleável e o tecido substituem as fitas de cetim que faziam referência às sapatilhas de balé quando o assunto era o trançado das sandálias. Não que as bailarinas tenham saído dos radares de tendência. As sapatilhas inspired continuam fortes, em marcas como Miu Miu, Prada e o streetstyle da NYFW, por exemplo. Agora, elas dividem espaço com uma nova vertente. Detalhes em ilhós e fivelas metalizadas dão uma perspectiva mais elaborada aos modelos, que aparecem com e sem salto.

As amarrações estão em voga já há algum tempo e a tendência vem crescendo a cada estação. Digamos “crescendo” literalmente, já que os cadarços, que antes escalavam apenas tornozelos, agora sobem até acima dos joelhos. Kendall Jenner e Rihanna, ícones da moda, fazem bastante uso desses modelos, que devem ser escolhidos com atenção redobrada para não infringir os limites do bom gosto.

O sapato sem salto continua a ser uma grande exigência do público feminino, que não quer ficar refém de qualquer desconforto na correria do dia a dia. Mas, nem por isso as sapatilhas estão condenadas à mesmice. No próximo verão, o bico fino comanda. E, para completar o combo, aberturas na laterais e as já citadas amarrações no tornozelo.

Tons nude, que combinam com a cor da pele, alongam a silhueta e estão em alta, seguindo o lançamento recente da Louboutin. Por falar em grandes marcas, as fivelas de tamanho grande, exagerado, estiveram presentes no último desfile da Dior de primavera/verão.

Material da vez: plástico. Tem gente que pode torcer o nariz, mas é bom se preparar: sim, ele está de volta. Aliado ao scarpin, é mais uma proposta para fortalecer a onda dos anos 1980 que invade as passarelas. Para não perder o apelo comercial, a transparência virá nos detalhes. Entre blocos de cores, que tornam o sapato mais elegante, detalhes em PVC transparente deixam os pés à mostra. Recortes triangulares também são utilizados em uma versão ainda mais chique, via de regra, escondendo o calcanhar e a ponta dos dedos. Salvatore Ferragamo, Sophia Webster e Stephanie Pistel já lançaram seus modelos. Então, pode apostar!

O Inverno 2017 será noturno. Essa é a palavra para guiar o mood da estação do friozinho no ano que vem. “Friozinho”, porque bem sabemos que o inverno por aqui não costuma ser caprichado.

C riar sapatos pela internet é a nova tend ência de mercado. Vanguarda , tecnologia e moda nunca estiveram tão unidas para atender aos desejos das amantes de calçados.

Tão logo o cliente finalize sua “criação” digital, é a vez dos técnicos da empresa colocarem a mão na massa e produzirem o sonhado sapato.

As shoes lovers nunca estiveram tão contentes. A moda agora é criar sapatos bacanérrimos pela internet. De qualquer lugar do mundo, seguindo um passo a passo simples, com a ajuda de um programa 3D, é possível escolher tamanho do salto, formato, cores e matéria-prima. Um ótimo exemplo é o sucesso alcançado pela Shoes of Prey, fundada em 2009, em Sidney, pelos empreendedores Jodie Fox, diretora de moda, Michael Fox, diretor de operações e Mike Knapp, diretor de tecnologia. Desde que puseram o site no ar, a empresa já vendeu um número de calçados customizados que chega à casa do milhão para mulheres de diversas partes do mundo. A ideia rendeu aos sócios um faturamento de vários milhões de dólares em menos de dois anos e transformou a Shoes of Prey em uma cobiçada empresa global, com quatro escritórios e quase 50 empregados.

O conceito é pra lá de atual, fácil e divertido. Basta fazer alguns cliques para desenhar o modelo dos sonhos. Na página da Shoes of Prey, estão disponíveis cerca de 12 formas diferentes – com opções de saltos altíssimos ou médios, plataformas, bailarinas, entre outros – e mais de

170 materiais, cores diversas e texturas exclusivas, como pele de cobra, couros suaves, pele de peixe, seda italiana, entre outros. Ao todo, são mais de quatro bilhões de combinações, atualizadas constantemente.

Versão brasileira

Tão logo o cliente finalize sua “criação” digital, é a vez dos técnicos da empresa colocarem a mão na massa e produzirem o sonhado sapato. O prazo de entrega é de até um mês para qualquer país do mundo. A exclusividade tem seu preço: criar seus sapatos na Shoes of Prey pode custar entre 129 a 199 euros.

A ideia já desembarcou por aqui e quem quiser desenhar e customizar seus calçados pode entrar no site da Meu Salto. O processo de criação é o mesmo e as opções também são supervariadas. Uma das principais diferenças dos produtos que são oferecidos nas lojas tradicionais é que o sapato encomendado por esses sites tem garantia de um ano.

De acordo com os proprietários, só nos primeiros dois anos do site, foram dezenas de milhões de calçados desenhados. Para a advogada e fundadora, Jodie Fox, a proposta é aliar moda e exclusividade, já que podem ser criados sapatos de tamanhos variados, muitas vezes não encontrados nas lojas tradicionais. Fazer um calçado maior ou mais largo que o outro também é possível e, para isso, basta escolher entre as diversas opções. “É a oportunidade de ter os sapatos que você sempre sonhou, com apenas alguns cliques”, diz a empreendedora.

O boom do desemprego tem levado ao mercado muita gente qualificada, com capital para i nvestir e informação sobre novos modelos de negócios.

“O novo empreendedor do mercado calçadista realiza estudos sobre matérias-primas, comportamento do consumidor e formas de diferenciar-se do mercado tradicional com o maior pacote de inovações possível. ”

Aumento da concorrência, gestores cada vez mais qualificados e planos de negócios assertivos têm marcado o mercado de varejo de calçados no Brasil. Grande parte desse cenário, segundo especialistas, se deve ao aumento do empreendedorismo por necessidade como alternativa ao alto nível de desemprego no país. Para se ter uma ideia, em janeiro de 2016, 18 dos 27 estados brasileiros (66,6%) superaram a média de criação de novas empresas em relação a janeiro de 2015, segundo levantamento regional do Indicador Serasa Experian de Nascimentos de Empresas.

A região Sudeste concentra os três estados com os números mais elevados de novos empreendimentos (São Paulo, Minas Gerais e Rio de Janeiro). No total, foram 166.613 novos empreendimentos no país, 10,4% maior do que o mês correspondente de 2015, quando 150.958 empresas foram abertas.

São Paulo figura no topo do ranking, com 45.550 aberturas em janeiro de 2016, 15,5% a mais que em janeiro de 2015 (39.449). Minas Gerais está em segundo lugar, com 19.469 empresas abertas em janeiro/2016, 10,5% a mais que em janeiro/2015 (17.618). Na terceira posição, vem o Rio de Janeiro, com 19.044 companhias nascidas em janeiro/2016, 31,9% a mais do que em igual mês de 2015 (14.441).

Para a Bicx, empresa de Consultoria Empresarial, o perfil dos novos empreendedores é de profissionais na faixa dos 40 anos, oriundos do mercado corporativo, boa formação, bagagem institucional e experiência que foram desligados de suas posições executivas nos últimos 24 meses. “Esses profissionais somam as principais iniciativas necessárias ao empreendedorismo: têm qualificação profissional, experiência em gestão de pessoas, capital de giro, maturidade e percepção do momento macroeconômico, propício para a busca de oportunidades (boas negociações junto a fornecedores e pontos comerciais). Geralmente trabalham de forma muito sistemática, organizada e planejada, espelhando modelos de planejamento do mundo corporativo no qual foram criados”, comenta o economista Maurício Bicudo, diretor da Bicx.

foco no mercado calçadista Para o economista, o novo empreendedor do mercado calçadista realiza diversos e profundos estudos sobre matérias-primas, comportamento do consumidor e, sobretudo, formas de diferenciar-se do mercado tradicional com o maior pacote de inovações possível. Todo este conhecimento se dá por meio da troca de informações com equipes multidisciplinares, viagens internacionais, pesquisas de comportamento e consultorias especializadas no assunto. Outro ponto bastante relevante é a modernização do modelo comercial, a partir de canais de vendas mais agressivos em busca de novos públicos consumidores.

Seleção natural do varejo Essa concorrência de peso está, obrigatoriamente, balançando o varejo de calçados, pois além de toda a bagagem corporativa, são empreendedores que iniciaram seus negócios em tempos de crise, com planejamentos administrativos e estratégicos muito mais estruturados, e com grande capacidade de adaptação à volatilidade do público.

“O novo empreendedor tende a entrar no mercado trazendo novidades já pré-determinadas por meses de pesquisas de comportamento e com profundo conhecimento do nicho de mercado que será trabalhado”, define Bicudo. É o caso, por exemplo, da Outer.Shoes, empresa carioca que, no ano passado, faturou R$ 25 milhões trabalhando com o público jovem, que valoriza produtos sustentáveis.

Claro que não existe uma “receita de bolo” para o sucesso, mas algumas premissas são importantes. Apostar em novos fornecedores pode significar um risco, principalmente se não houver estrutura adequada de entrega. A ruptura da cadeia de fornecimento pode representar o fim de uma empresa. “O que recomendamos é trazer à mesa de negociação novos e antigos parceiros comerciais e entendê-los de forma completa, negociando preços, condições de pagamento e entrega”, alerta a economista Andrea Sano, sócia-diretora da Bicx.

A equipe de vendas, na opinião da consultora, deve ser continuamente treinada, estimulada, cobrada e recompensada. Já o e-commerce deve ser visto como mais um vetor na matriz comercial, sendo trabalhado de forma integrada aos demais processos e nunca como solução dos problemas. “Recomendamos também grande atenção à diminuição dos estoques, operação que costuma aliviar o fluxo de caixa da empresa. Mas essa medida implica na necessidade de uma estrutura de processos e controles mais apurada, uma vez que a frequência das compras é aumentada. Quanto pode custar a criação desses processos de controle versus o benefício do alívio de caixa das compras mais pulverizadas? Não há uma regra, apenas muito planejamento”, pondera Sano.

Diante de tantos desafios, alguns empresários ou administradores não conseguem definir prioridades, já que, muitas vezes, estão envolvidos com problemas cotidianos da loja ou preocupados em manter as contas longe do vermelho. A solução pode ser realizar parcerias capazes de oferecer diagnósticos precisos, com pacotes de ações pertinentes à realidade de cada negócio.

Basta piscar os olhos e está todo mundo sabendo, todo mundo acompanhando, todo mundo compartilhando. A revolução digital e sua instantaneidade impacta diretamente a indústria da moda. A nova geração de consumidores nasceu e cresceu conectada às redes sociais. Desfiles de moda são acompanhados ao vivo por milhares de pessoas no mundo todo. Coleções de inverno são mostrados em pleno verão, coleções resort no inverno e por aí vai. Quem é de fora da indústria assiste a tudo isso pelas telas de um smartphone, acha tudo lindo, mas não entende nada. Entende menos ainda quando descobre que aquilo que está nas lojas é o que foi visto seis meses atrás. Sim, o mundo é instantâneo, pero no mucho . Para o público, esse gap entre os desfiles e as prateleiras parece fazer cada vez menos sentido. Há um intenso debate sobre o formato atual dos calendários de moda. Em poucas horas, da passarela ao backstage, tudo já foi postado pela marca, pelo estilista, pelas modelos, pelo público, pelas editoras. Todo o esforço em torno do desfile se perde e é difícil traduzi-lo em vendas e lucros. Os desfiles mostram uma roupa, seduzem a mídia especializada e também o consumidor, são destaques em revistas, sites, blogs e nos “igs” mais hypados, mas só chegam às lojas no outro semestre.

Enquanto a semana de moda de Nova York avaliava se mudava o calendário, apresentando o verão no verão e o inverno no inverno, a Burberry, mais uma vez, saiu na frente e anunciou a grande mudança, alinhando o varejo ao desejo do consumidor. As roupas do desfile vão direto para as lojas da marca, logo após a apresentação.

No aspecto criativo, ainda precisamos entender se uma coleção focada no varejo impactará a criação de forma negativa, podando ainda mais as ideias do estilista. Pelo que percebemos, pouco deve mudar nesse sentido. Grandes marcas como Burberry, Gucci e Chanel já usam seus desfiles também como ferramentas milionárias de marketing. Já as grifes menores e mais conceituais não podem se distanciar do que as tornou relevantes: a criação original. As mudanças no calendário passam a ocorrer a partir de setembro de 2016, começando por Nova York. Enquanto isso, o consumidor vai assistindo tudo pela tela de seu smartphone.

As sandálias são personalizadas, em grande variedade de cores aplicadas em couro real de excelente qualidade. Com marketing pautado nos “produtos cuidadosamente feitos com amor”, elas ganham detalhes preciosos, mas não são industrialmente perfeitas, uma vez que o valor aqui é o de possuir uma sandália artesanal exclusiva.

Ilse Biason Guimarães é das poucas mulheres que fala com propriedade sobre o setor de componentes no Brasil. Graduada em Administração de Empresas pela Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos, a dirigente também é engenheira de produção, o que lhe confere bagagem suficiente para conhecer o mercado. Nos últimos anos, Ilse focou seu interesse nas áreas de estratégia, informação, cadeia coureiro-calçadista, serviços e estratégias de serviços.

Aqui, ela fala da necessidade das empresas de apresentarem respostas rápidas frente ao turbulento mercado econômico e acredita que muitos empresários já estão colocando isso em prática. Em relação específica à indústria calçadista, aponta que ela já saiu da zona de conforto para se adaptar não só às exigências do mercado interno, mas também do externo.

Atualmente, a moda tem voltado seus olhos para materiais reciclados ou sustentáveis. O Inspiramais tem algum projeto que busca unir o trabalho de artesãos à indústria? Responsabilidade social e consumo consciente estão na pauta do salão?

Sim, temos projetos que exaltam exatamente o caráter de produção artesanal no país: Referências Brasileiras, Saberes Manuais, entre outros. Nossa variação entre o fast fashion e o slow fashion ganhou uma proporção enorme e temos observado a abertura de espaço para criações artesanais. Certamente, a responsabilidade social é uma das vertentes fortes, afinal, toda a cadeia produtiva deve ser beneficiada.

Despertar o interesse pela criação, desenvolvimento e pesquisa é um dos pilares do Inspiramais. Como a indústria calçadista vem evoluindo nesse sentido? Podemos afirmar que já somos criadores de design?

Nossa indústria calçadista saiu da zona de conforto e tem reagido às necessidades do mercado nacional e internacional. Isso significa buscar novas fontes de inspiração, matérias-primas e processos produtivos. Temos criações autorais com DNA nacional, e acredito que essa tendência será fortalecida nos próximos anos.

Os calçados feitos no Brasil ocupam lugar de destaque nas prateleiras internacionais. Isso se dá graças ao binômio design e preço ou nossos produtos já começam a ser desejados por possuir identidade de marca?

Nosso design, bem como fortes elementos da cultura brasileira que dão personalidade aos calçados nacionais são um diferencial no mercado externo. Há mercados que absorvem muito mais que outros, pois cada qual possui uma necessidade e característica, mas de maneira geral, o made in Brazil provoca desejo também por qualidade e inovação.

O mercado calçadista -- tanto fabricantes quanto fornecedores de componentes e insumos -- está preparado para sair rapidamente da crise econômica? Qual é a expectativa para 2017?

Temos que ser velozes em colocar em prática iniciativas para sair da crise e tenho observado alguns empresários se movimentando para isso, fazendo o dever de casa. Para que a reversão seja mais rápida e consistente, há uma dependência do cenário econômico e político proposto, mas as empresas devem estar preparadas para esse novo cenário.

Estamos conectados às pesquisas mundiais sobre design, tecnologia e novos processos de desenvolvimento ligados à sustentabilidade e produção e essa é a fonte geradora de conteúdo para cada salão. Nossa busca por inovação é interminável e quem sai ganhando certamente é o expositor e visitante, que tem o Inspiramais como um dos únicos eventos do gênero no país.

Simplicidade e cores para um “Faça Você Mesmo” O movimento “Makers” (algo como “Fazedores”) tem tido crescente envolvimento das pessoas, especialmente em uma geração mais criativa que coloca a mão na massa para produzir, por conta própria, itens que vão de roupas e objetos de decoração a produtos mais inovadores, como os produzidos com impressoras 3D. Essa participação do comprador no processo de montagem, associada a um modelo simples, foram os detalhes pensados pela designer Sara Gulyas, da Hungria, ao criar, em seu projeto de mestrado, os sapatos unissex Pikkpack. Eles usam o mínimo possível de material: têm como base uma peça única de couro, fina, que começa a ganhar forma com a aplicação de fitas coloridas de algodão, que fazem as vezes de cadarços e estruturam o calçado -- disponíveis também em um modelo reflexivo para os ciclistas urbanos. Seu projeto ganhou vida através da participação, com sucesso, no Kickstarter, campanha de financiamento coletivo.

Upcyling criativo A Young Folk é uma marca carioca de botas, com proposta jovem e produzidas artesanalmente com o método upcycling – reaproveitar e dar ainda mais valor ao que seria descartado. O cabedal dos calçados é feito com o tecido que sobra de estofarias, em diversas (e vibrantes) estampas. Além desse diferencial, são produzidas com a intenção de durar por muito tempo.

Sapatos veganos Mais um exemplo da força que o conceito vegano vem ganhando na indústria da moda, incluindo, claro, a área calçadista. Foram destaque na 41ª edição da São Paulo Fashion Week - maior evento do gênero da América Latina - que aconteceu em abril de 2016, os scarpins da marca de Fábio Souza, “À La Garçonne”.

De salto grosso, os sapatos em nobuck foram desenhados por Alexandre Herchcovitch em parceria com a Di Cristalli.

Couro biodegradável A busca por materiais mais sustentáveis para a fabricação de roupas e calçados continua, felizmente, evoluindo, e se fortalece também na área dos produtos veganos, livres de quaisquer componentes de origem animal. Um novo e curioso material chega para “imitar” o couro em sua estética e resistência: trata-se de um produto sintético produzido por meio da kombucha, um chá fermentado. Daí, em um processo que leva de três a quarto semanas em laboratório, fibras de celulose são fervidas e alimentadas com vinagre e açúcar para se transformarem no “couro vegetal” que é, ainda por cima, biodegradável. Todo o processo tem um impacto ambiental extremamente baixo, já que não são utilizadas substâncias químicas nocivas e os materiais são renováveis.

Os pesquisadores que fizeram a descoberta são da Iowa State University, nos Estados Unidos, liderados pela professora Young-A Lee. Outro objetivo do projeto é amenizar a problemática da quantidade de lixo gerado pelo homem, como ela explica: “As empresas de moda produzem novos materiais a cada coleção, ano após ano, para corresponder às necessidades e desejos dos consumidores. Pense para onde esses artigos, eventualmente, irão. Eles ocuparão espaços subterrâneos enormes como qualquer outro lixo”.

“A definição de alinhamentos, layout de produção e análise de processos são fundamentais na elaboração de um novo produto. Para mim, o ponto crucial que difere o bom design de outro, é a funcionalidade produtiva. ”

Assim funciona a engrenagem da moda, assim o mercado se abastece com mais do mesmo. Ok, mas será que esse modus operandi da moda está funcionando às mil maravilhas? Se os grandes bureaus de tendências estiverem certos (o que presumimos que estejam, já que eles são contratados pela indústria mundial de diversos setores, para prever com bastante antecedência o que vai virar tendência), está na hora de começar a pensar em fazer diferente.

Por isso, é bom prestar atenção no que esses bureaus previram para 2017. Afinal, é claro que é importante saber se no ano que vem as sapatilhas serão de bico fino, se a transparência estará presente nos scarpins, ou se as sandálias baixas vão usar e abusar de amarrações no tornozelo. Mas para quem quer se destacar no meio da multidão, tão importante quanto é saber quais serão as tendências de comportamento de consumo de um modo geral. São elas que vão nortear a inspiração, esse item que anda escasso nas prateleiras dos designers de moda, mas do qual o mundo dá sinais de que está cada vez mais sedento.

Em 2015, durante a São Paulo Fashion Week, a presidente executiva para a América Latina do bureau de tendências britânico WSG, Letícia Abraham Matta antecipou os temas que devem predominar no ano que vem. Entre eles está o “encontro de culturas”, tudo a ver com o que foi dito acima. Como ela bem explicou, em um mundo tão pasteurizado, em que as pessoas se vestem tão iguais, há uma corrente contrária que busca experiências autênticas. Em poucas palavras, o que ela disse é que, para surpreender o consumidor é preciso apresentar novos pontos de vista. Para o setor calçadista, por exemplo, isso pode significar buscar novas inspirações. Que tal, ao invés de utilizar componentes que todo mundo compra igual, investir no novo? Programar viagens para lugares exóticos, que tenham um artesanato rico, pode ser uma excelente fonte de inspiração.

nspiração e pesquisa. Dois ingredientes fundamentais para quem faz parte da cadeia produtiva da moda. Se a inspiração pede sensibilidade, bagagem cultural e coragem criativa, a pesquisa requer tempo disponível para viajar, observar as ruas ou simplesmente apertar a tecla do computador. No mundo hiperconectado é muito mais fácil pesquisar e apostar em uma coleção que, se não tem identidade própria, pelo menos dá segurança que irá agradar um público que, por sinal, está cada vez mais igual. E assim, o que é lançado aqui, nos Estados Unidos ou na Colômbia é a cópia (às vezes disfarçada) do que as maiores cabeças pensantes do mundo da moda lançam a cada estação. Difícil mesmo é acreditar (e investir) na inspiração e propor algo autoral.

Quais são os lugares mais badalados quando se pensa em moda? Nem precisa pensar muito para saber que a resposta incluirá Paris, Milão, Nova York e Londres. Mas será que um mundo tão vasto em experiências pode mesmo se resumir em quatro capitais? Segundo o que aponta o WGSN não pode, nem deve.

Vivemos uma grande onda de fusão de centros urbanos e migrações urbanas. A consequência boa disso é que grandes talentos não estão apenas nesses centros, mas em outros pontos do planeta que antes nem passava pela cabeça conhecer. É assim que o olhar escapa da tentação do glamour e passa a perceber e a valorizar as coisas mais reais e rotineiras. É só exercitar um pouco para descobrir belezas que, até então, nem era possível imaginar que estavam ali.

Somos bombardeados de informações o tempo todo. Quer saber como se dança o maxixe, o que se come na Cracóvia ou as principais características do seu animal de estimação? É só acessar a internet. O que nunca se sabe ao certo é se o conteúdo acessado condiz com a verdade. Questionadora, a geração Z (dos nascidos a partir de 1995) é também desconfiada. A favor de uma cultura de transparência (e de tolerância), são eles que conduzem mudanças. Eles são os consumidores do futuro e, se é assim, nada melhor do que saber como eles pensam para entender como atingi-los.

O que te motiva intimamente?

No ranking dos nomes mais respeitados no mundo da moda, a holandesa Li Edelkoort tem seu merecido destaque. Em sua empresa, a Trend Union, ela coordena uma equipe que pesquisa tendências globais de moda, design, arte e comportamento para gigantes como Coca-Cola, Warner, Lacoste e L’Oreal. Em 2014, ela esteve no Brasil para autografar o livro “Bloom Brasil”.

Em entrevista exclusiva ao site FFW, a pesquisadora falou das suas impressões sobre o Brasil e, também, de moda e das tendências que devem aparecer nos próximos anos. Nós transcrevemos aqui um trecho dessa entrevista, que comprova o quanto suas ideias são assertivas e atuais. Que venha 2017!

O que você acha da moda brasileira e dos brasileiros?

Amo esse país, tem uma cultura absolutamente vibrante. Acho que as pessoas não deveriam se inspirar nas coisas de outros países. Meu conselho à cultura do Brasil seria considerar de onde vocês vêm. Porque o mundo está se tornando muito global e o próximo passo do mercado mundial é conquistar a América do Sul e a África. Então, a indústria e os designers do Brasil deverão expressar o que os motiva intimamente, e não que está acontecendo em outro lugar.

E é isso que os estilistas deveriam fazer com mais frequência?

Acredito que sim, talvez não agora, mas será um desafio porque se você quer ser global, você tem que se tornar local. Yves Saint Laurent é absolutamente parisiense, Ralph Lauren é completamente americano, Yohji Yamamoto é absolutamente japonês. Então, quem tiver raízes, como eles, será capaz de conquistar o mundo. Se você tem uma marca que fica no meio termo, é mais difícil. E sinto que no hemisfério sul ainda existe um deslumbramento com Hollywood, Paris, Milão, e eu diria: bom, eu venho de lá e não é tão bom quanto vocês acham. Nós gostaríamos de estar aqui!

E você pode me adiantar as tendências que está prevendo para os próximos dois anos?

Sim: mais loucura, mais ousadia. Acho que a moda ficou tão segura que está muito chata. Apesar de ter surgido uma tendência de moda muito importante que se chama “blunt and boring” (estúpido e chato), que já está aparecendo nos Estados Unidos e na Europa: são as pessoas que não querem nem um pouco estar na moda. Então, eles se vestem e você nem os vê.

Quais os principais ingredientes que diferem o bom do mau design?

Na minha opinião, não existe o bom ou o mau design. Existem, sim, conceitos e maneiras que se diferenciam no momento de uma execução criativa. Ao contrário do que se pensa, o sucesso de um bom design, seja ele direcionado para a classe A, B ou C, não está ligado diretamente com a sua criatividade, e sim ao processo industrial. A criação de um produto que, consequentemente, será de grande escala produtiva requer conhecimento e feeling criativo, porém muito além da prancheta de desenho, o setor técnico é uma das partes determinantes no design. A definição de alinhamentos, layout de produção e análise de processos são fundamentais na elaboração de um novo produto. Para mim, o ponto crucial que difere o bom design de outro qualquer é a funcionalidade produtiva.

No setor calçadista, a cópia é uma prática comum e poucos se arriscam a trabalhar com criatividade para produzir um produto que se destaque no mercado. Como você vê essa situação?

A cópia existe em vários setores e isso, infelizmente, é uma realidade.

Isso se tornou uma prática tão comum que acaba ficando muito difícil competir produzindo cópias, já que o mercado está sempre saturado com produtos iguais. Mas existe outro caminho, que é a reformulação de ideias e conceitos de grandes pensadores e criadores de moda e isso não é cópia. É um exercício que permite que se desenvolva um produto atual e competitivo ao mesmo tempo.

Muitas vezes, o designer opta por trabalhar para várias marcas, sem criar uma identidade própria. Qual o diferencial do profissional que, como você, trabalha com exclusividade para a Strikwear?

Para uma empresa, ter a exclusividade de profissionais do design se tornou, hoje, uma das melhores e mais eficazes formas de trabalhar. É bom para ambos os lados. Para o contratante, ter um designer exclusivo faz total diferença no resultado final de cada coleção. E, para o designer, direcionar o foco criativo, ter a oportunidade de conhecer o potencial produtivo e a tecnologia empregada em todos os setores operacionais da empresa em que atua acrescenta muito no desenvolvimento de um produto de qualidade e, consequentemente, com identidade única.

O que dá mais satisfação em seu trabalho como designer?

Meu trabalho sempre foi muito gratificante, porém, hoje, a satisfação é ainda maior já que, com minha atual modalidade de trabalho, consigo chegar a resultados finais surpreendentes. Acredito que todo designer busca introduzir seu feeling criativo a cada trabalho executado, mas se tiver suporte produtivo de ponta, qualidade acima da média e puder acompanhar de perto a fidelidade visual com que seus projetos são produzidos, isso é fantástico!

A recente crise econômica brasileira trouxe à tona uma situação problemática para a indústria nacional: nos últimos anos, todos os esforços de venda foram focados no mercado interno e a exportação de nossos produtos manufaturados ficou em segundo plano. A taxa do dólar desfavorável e nossos altos custos de produção, bem como os baixos preços de nossos concorrentes asiáticos, contribuíram para a nossa perda de mercado no exterior.

Neste início do século 21, o Brasil tornou-se um grande exportador de commodities. Recentemente, com a crise no mercado interno, nossos empresários acordaram e viram que, nesses últimos anos, foram aos poucos perdendo seus clientes internacionais, ou nem tentaram conquistá-los. Agora, todos querem exportar. Só que relacionamentos, cadeias de distribuição, divulgação de marca no exterior e market share não acontecem da noite para o dia.
