The Raft - The Jellyfish EP's Label: Shore Dive Records Release Date: 25 August 2018 I have waited a lot to talk a little with Phil Wilson and the release of this collection of EP's in the form of an album gave me the possibility and the right excuse to hold a brief talk with the ideologist of The Raft.
How do you feel about this album? I think these fourteen songs are all good songs and I'm particularly proud to have written them. I think it's the production that sets them apart from the older stuff though. I worked with a producer called J. Pedro on this album and he's brought a certain clarity and sheen to the songs. He's somehow managed to get a very commercial sound without it sounding cheesy. This led to me singing on one of his tracks which led to us releasing my album on his label.

llection of songs and I take it as a compliment. It is strange though because inside I'm not a calm person at all and I suffer quite badly with anxiety in my everyday life. I think for that reason I do listen to a lot of calming, melodic music which has inevitably found it's way into the song writing. Whatever the reason, I just love soothing melodies and sweet
harmonies! To finish ... what are the plans for this year? The next album is tracked and JP is currently working on mixes. We'll probably bat it around between us for a few months but I hope to have it out early next year.
