The Santa Claus Rotary Club
The Santa Claus Rotary Club (Tempe Rio Salado) Meeting Minutes January 29, 2015 Attendance: Members – Larry Horton, Corey Bruggeman, Kent Hendricks, Karen Ingersoll, Geoff Pashkowski, Patrick de Haan Guest – Don Kelley 7:00 AM: Meeting called to order by President Larry Horton Invocation: Larry Horton Pledge of Allegiance: Corey Bruggeman Four-way Test: All Discussion: 1. Don came in today to pick up his Governor’s Banner – he is joining the Tempe South club as it is only 5 minutes from his home… and he will be closer to Norma. Norma’s health is not good. But most of all, she needs friends and phone calls. Seems most of her friends are not calling or visiting any more. If you have a few minutes to spare… please give her a call: (480) 345-7648. This will surely lift her spirits and give her something to look forward to! 2. Pat is excited that his daughter will be driving the lead truck/cart at the half-time show. And his son-in-law will be handling some of the pyrotechnics. All of this is volunteer. Pretty cool! 3. Pat – Asteroid project… has the certificates for all of the people whose names are on the craftDiscussion about future board members.. No president yet, but Karen will continue on as secretary for The Santa Clause club, and Pat would like to focus his efforts on media/marketing for our clubs. Happy $$: Kent – Brother is in town for the Pro-Bowl, and they went to Top Golf… had a really nice time! Geoff will be absent next week. Has to spend his birthday on the beach in Mexico. Poor guy…. Everybody say Awwwwwwww…. Karen had a great Monday with her grandson… such a cutie! Don – thanking Rio Salado for being such a big part of the last chapter of his life. (Tissue please!) We love you and Norma, Don! Larry – went to the Pro-Bowl on Sunday. Attended the first planning session for RYLA. Thankful that Don is here with us… sad he’s leaving, but will always be a part of our family. (Hear, hear!) Pat – The Food Box bill was only about half of what was expected… always a good thing! This was in a very large part due to a tax credit donation made by the Bruggemans. Corey had a good laugh at a radio program on his way to the meeting. Worked on Kurt Warner’s house alarm yesterday. That’s all for now!
