Meeting Minutes ~ January 26, 2017 Attendance: Members: Billy Wilkinson, Susan Wilkinson, Ben Eubank, Dona Eubank, Garrett Shaver, Patrick de Haan, Karen Ingersoll, Kent Hendricks, Larry Horton, Corey Bruggeman, Mike Chasan, Geoff Pashkowski Guest: Fred Arbona – Mesa East President Elect. Invocation: Dona Eubank Pledge of Allegiance: Billy Wilkinson 5-Way Test: All Induction Ceremony: Ben Eubank presided over the induction for Garrett Shaver. Congratulations Garrett… you’re official!! Discussion: 1. Fred grew up in Prescott and is President Elect for Mesa East Rotary. Their club (largely due to age) partners with Kiwanis for their projects. 2. Larry: One of the newly inducted CXR members is a teacher at Creighton Middle School, and so an Interact Club is now being formed there. Wow! 3. RYLA is coming… beginning of April. 4. Pat – Christmas event in Payson for 1,075 children PK – 5th grade will be February 14th – 15th. 5. Banner presented to Fred.  Happy $:        

Billy – Really happy to be a part of this club. And happy that the new business venture is with his favorite partner, Sue. Sue is happy to be back and moving on to the new business they’re in. Kent is happy! Geoff – nothing exciting, but put in $ anyway. Fred is happy to be here and loved the Banner! Mike is happy. Karen is happy! Just completed PSI Basic seminar… good stuff! Pat is happy that Billy is here. Oldest grandsons are coming in from Seattle, really looking forward to that! Larry is happy for our new members… and going golfing later today. Garrett is happy. Dona looking forward to spending the weekend in San Diego. Ben “It has been decided that Ben will be buying a beach house in San Diego.” He’s suffering from sticker shock! Corey - friend came in from Jersey and they went to the car auctions.

Don’t worry, be happy!

Meeting Minutes February 2, 2017 Attendance: Members: Ben Eubank, Dona Eubank, Garrett Shaver, Patrick de Haan, Karen Ingersoll, Kent Hendricks, Geoff Pashkowski, Larry Horton, Corey Bruggeman Invocation: Dona Eubank Pledge of Allegiance: Garrett Shaver 5-Way Test: All Discussion: 1. Ben and Dona met with the Youth Exchange. They were the only one’s present at a meeting where six clubs were invited. Of all the things presented there was only one change, and that was the financing… the one subject the presenters did not go over. 2. Larry: Serena Christianson suggested that all club officers from TRS and CXR meet for dinner. Great idea! (TBD) 3. A Youth Exchange Advisor is needed from our club in order for the Eubanks to host. Larry volunteered. 4. Larry announced that dues have been paid on time. Now the members need to pay up.  Ben, Dona, Garrett, Corey, and Geoff are paid in full. Happy $:          

Billy – in the face of adversity, he’s glad to be here. Sue is looking forward to a new adventure with Billy. Kent is happy! Karen is happy! Just completed PSI Basic seminar… good stuff! Pat is celebrating the 12 Days of Bobbi.  Larry is happy about a lot of stuff. Garrett is happy. Dona had a fun trip to San Diego. On the way home, Ben got a speeding ticket. The officer asked why it took him so long to pull over! Ben (replying to Dona’s story – “Had to slow down to 80 before he could apply the brakes! Haha). After he got the ticket, Ben told the officer that he appreciated his service to our country. Corey (said Kent is happy that Corey is here)  Friend came in from Jersey for the car auctions. The general consensus is that we are a pretty HAPPY group!

Go forth and spread happiness!

Meeting Minutes February 9, 2017 Attendance: Members: Ben Eubank, Dona Eubank, Garrett Shaver, Patrick de Haan, Karen Ingersoll, Michael Chasen, Kent Hendricks, Geoff Pashkowski, Larry Horton, Corey Bruggeman Guests: AG – Gary Johnson, Judge John Ore – Tempe South Invocation: Dona Eubank Pledge of Allegiance: Judge Ore 5-Way Test: All Discussion: 1. A very emotionally charged discussion ensued surrounding RI, District and the words and actions taken toward CXR and TRS (specifically Ben and Dona). For the record, RI DOES show CXR as a Satellite Club of TRS, including their meeting time and location. They had to have been in receipt of official documentation from District in order to be on the roles. That the District cannot find the paperwork and is requesting/requiring a reapplication is unacceptable. Patrick found the documentation and, through Larry, has forwarded via email to Gary Johnson. We are hopeful that this can be put to rest. 2. Larry had a good news/bad news situation. Their rehearsal for the RYLA presentation at PETS went extremely well. However, due to a scheduling conflict, he will not be presenting. (There will be someone covering for him.) TRS is sponsoring a child from Show Low for RYLA this year. 3. Patrick announced that the Payson event has been postponed due to the books (for book fair) being misrouted to North Carolina. (No, we can’t figure it out either!) 4. Larry – Maggie’s Place (Women’s Shelter) project to be this coming Saturday, Feb 11th. Happy $:           

John Ore – his son is in Afghanistan where they just had 8” of snow. He narrowly averted a suicide bomber because he left 30 minutes early for a cross fit competition. Talk about having a guardian angel! Geoff had a birthday this week, and is happy to be here. (HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEOFF!!) (Ben had a thought… he’ll shave his head and present for Larry at PETS. Hahaha!) Mike is happy and had a great vacation with his wife. Gary said “It’s been an absolute delight.” Karen has lots to be happy for – business is good and her friend is in town. Pat’s windshield got a big crack in it and had it replaced. Great service! Garrett – Put in an IOU. Volunteering this weekend at the Odysea Aquarium. Ben put in an “I’m sorry” $ for Gary (apologized for shooting the messenger). His 2nd oldest daughter is talking to him again, and that’s a very good thing. Dona is glad the meeting is ending on a happy note, and glad to be here. Corey happy that we finally had a decent weekend/weather. Drove up to Yarnell and had Mexican food. Visited the Granite Mountain Memorial while there.

Make it a great week everyone!!
