so much alike it’s confusing.) : Everybody

1. We discussed making a spoof record album featuring our Club members as the Village People. We would be called “Rio People” and actually perform our own versions of their best hits. Three obvious songs will be “PETS” (sung to YMCA), “In the District” (sung to In the Navy), and of course “Rio Man” (sung to Macho Man). Casting was discussed. Ben jumped at the chance to be the cowboy and Larry went into great detail on the lovely light blue shirt he will wear. Pat wants to be the biker so he can wear his leather pilot’s helmet and goggles. Our reluctant President, Geoff, will of course be the Chief and Corey will wear his hard hat as the construction worker. That leaves the soldier/sailor. Even though Kent tried not to give us eye contact during the discussion and at one point even tried to hide under the table, it didn’t work. Break out your khaki shorts and your camouflage shirt, Kent. We have a helmet and guns for you! Stay tuned for more information. 2. We were visited by three puppets that will be used in our Christmas events this year. On the cover, Patrick shows President Geoff our monster puppet. (Geoff is the one with the little beady eyes and silly grin on the left. The monster is the green one with the little beady eyes and silly grin on the right. Patrick is the big guy in the background who looks like Santa Claus. We also met a Dodo Bird puppet and a Karen Ingersoll puppet (or maybe it was Linda, or Sibyl, or). 3. Ben wants to get us armed with toilet paper guns. Sounds good to me! 4. Patrick announced that he had received a $5,000 anonymous grant for our Christmas events here in Maricopa County. 5. WE MISS KAREN!!! She’s the only one of us who can read and write!!

6. We also discussed Dona’s current health and wished her a speedy recovery and that this is only a minor setback. If Dona and Ben need us, all they need to do is ask. 7. Phil Corderoy’s visit in October was discussed. We again talked about potential activities while he’s here, Larry suggested taking him to watch a game (depending on which teams are playing during his visit and which sports Phil enjoys.)

When Cory arrived at this morning’s Rotary meeting, Dr. Ben immediately became concerned. Corey’s lips and tongue were blue and his face was covered with a strange rash. We called 911 and had an ambulance take him to the Pashkowski Memorial Hospital. After performing a number of tests, the ER doctors were perplexed. Everything came out normal. Even the CAT Scan they did on his head showed nothing. Finally, after an intensive interview, they determined the cause of Corey’s symptoms. Evidently the previous evening, Corey fell asleep in bed while eating a bag of Skittles. That explained the colorful rash. They also determined his blue lips and tongue were caused by the blueberry Slushy he drank on his way to the meeting. Case Closed.

Oops! We forgot to write down today’s Happy Dollars! Everyone put dollars in for Dona to have a speedy recovery. Everyone missed Karen (or as she likes to call herself “the Voice of Reason”).
