Happy $$ ($19 Happy $$ from last week)
Kent is happy that the Hawkeyes won and happy that Nebraska got beat. NFL season starts tonight.
Geoff is happy to be back from visiting friends in the east coast. Was there as Barb’s arm candy for her conference.
Andrea happy that all of her hard work will come to fruition for the Orphanage project.
Larry said “Quintessential”.
Karen is happy for Andrea, and got to spend some quality time with her grandson.
Larry putting in a shameless plug for his Casino Night fund raiser on October 17th.
Corey went to Heber last weekend. Went to a car show in White River…
Corey went to Heber last weekend. Went to a car show in White River… after driving 82 miles (one way), they only had three cars! Apparently there was a mix up on the date. Also went to the Show Low car races and got mud splattered. Fun!
Nigel happy to be here with us. Paid his phone fine and thanked Ben for being his benefactor. LOL!
Ben Happy $$ for the seven freshman starting the game (TX football). Happy the team band didn’t embarrass them. Sad $ because his team didn’t win… they got whooped.
The Volcano Rotary Club meets at the historic Volcano House Hotel (1846). It’s a small club (23 members) that is very active not only in their immediate community, but also actively partners with projects on the other islands. While there, Pat presented the entire membership with Honorary Santa Claus certificates, so now we have twenty three more Santas in our ranks. Pat and the Volcano Club exchanged information on service projects and fundraisers. There was considerable interest in becoming Sister Clubs and in partnering with a joint Christmas event on the Island. Several potential schools were identified as possible recipients of the proposed Christmas projects. Discussions will continue between the two Clubs.
This is the magnificent view from the room at Volcano House where the Volcano Rotary Club meets. There are huge windows running the entire length of the room, overlooking the Halema‘uma‘u Crater at the summit of Kilauea.
