The
KING’S SCROLL NEWSLETTER OF JESUS MY KING CHURCH
JUNE 2016 ISSUE
Greeting in the Dynamic Name of our Lord Jesus! Over the past 2 months or so, it seemed JMK was on the move, and its not that the church was relocating its premises. It was about multiple mission trips that were conceived, prayed over and came to past! 2 Teams from our JMK family made separate mission thrusts to Philippines. One team was at Manila launching the School of Prophets and the other serving to meet the needs of the Children Ministry in Cebu City. For many who participated, it was their Iirst experience in overseas missions. Other mission projects included Pastor Steven and Angeline’s trip to Sri Lanka addressing some key leaders of the Pastor’s Prophetic Table as well as ministering in a Youth Conference in another part of India. In this issue, 2 of our brothers who were involved in the mission thrusts gave a glimpse into the excitement and blessings of participation. Do read and be encouraged!

God has never intended for His church to be stationary. “Move“ seems to be the frequently used instruction God gives to His people. The Israelites had to be on the move to escape from slavery. Jesus moved from a highly heavenly position to a lowly human form to fulIill the Father’s Will. The early church had to move to have the kingdom of God multiplied by leaps and bounds, geographically as well as spiritually. Once I was discussing with a friend on the beneIit of doing jogs on a treadmill and that of doing it on a running track. A conclusion made was that one makes you do something but brings you nowhere while the other actually changes your location. This is the same sentiment Apostle Paul expressed in 1 Cor 9:26, which says, “ So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air…” In another passage, he also described the Christian life as one of a soldier Iighting a battle, an athlete running a race and a farmer laboring in the Iield. (2 Tim 2:4-‐5). There is always action, action and action in the Christian walk. Dear Brothers and Sisters, let us get ready for movements in our lives and keep our hearts open to the Spirit’s leading!

Philippine Mission Trip 1 - Bro Emmanual The mission trip to The Philippines was certainly an enriching experience for me; it was my first 8me on the mission field. Much was learnt in Basic and Advanced College of Prophets (COP); it was now an opportunity to have a taste of ministry on actual ground. Brother Melvyn David and I had departed slightly earlier than the core mission team to Rizal, where he preached at the Sunday service of the Church of God. All Glory be to God; Elder M e l v y n ’s s e r m o n w a s impacNul indeed and when he gave the altar call, many people were slain in the Spirit and the Fire of God came in a powerful manner. What I have not told you was the opportunity we had were solely dependent on the Holy Spirit. I witnessed for the first 8me how Elder Melvyn’s sermon notes were prepared. As we were preparing the slides for the sermon, the Holy Spirit told him exactly what to include in the slides and how to preach the sermon. As this was happening, we s8ll had no clue what the 8tle of the sermon was un8l the Holy Spirit spoke to Melvyn just before we leT for the service that the sermon 8tle would be ‘Faith Visits’. I was just 2 thinking to myself how awesome it was to completely rely on the Holy Spirit to direct us on every step that we take. Elder Melvyn was telling me how we can all become vessels and mouthpieces for the Holy Spirit to use; all we have to do is to become available for God. That moment changed the way I have been thinking all this while; our God is certainly a living God who is willing to speak to us at any point in 8me. We just need to tune in to the same frequency that He is speaking and we will hear from the Holy Spirit!

ATer service, another learning opportunity came along. The Senior Pastor of the Church of God had requested us to join in the Bible Study group at a nearby village called Kelintas; and so Elder Melvyn and I set off using a tricycle to a dilapidated house at the top of the hill. The owner of the house was a lady with many young children who had agreed to host us for the Bible Study session that aTernoon. You see, the whole stretch was full of run down houses and chicken farms. All the owners in that area did not want to open up their house for fear that the praise and worship session would affect the growth of their chickens; specifically the chickens’ ability to lay eggs. Though most who a\ended the Bible study were poor, they were certainly rich at heart as each one of them welcomed us and was eager to hear the Word of God. Elder Melvyn and I then preached and shared the Gospel while one of the Brothers in C h r i s t , l e d w o r s h i p a n d translated the message from English to Tagalog.

Our mission was to s8r up the passion for God within them to serve in the nearby church that we had visited earlier and to engage them t o c o m e t o c h u r c h whenever possible. We could see that they were indeed moved as they started sharing amongst one another about their walk with God. Then, it was 8me for us to leave and as we were about to board the tricycle back to our place of residence, the Holy Spirit spoke to Melvyn to tell the owner of the house that because she was faithful and obedient in opening up her home for Bible study, “There shall be no lack hence forth for her and her family.” She was exhilarated by what she was just told. How amazing is that? This happened just because she allowed God to use her. Her house didn’t even have any form of flooring yet she was not ashamed to open up her home for the Lord. These that I am sharing are just excerpts of what happened during this mission trip; I certainly thank God for the opportuni8es to experience his presence and Divine interven8ons in many circumstances during the trip. The ques8on now is; how do I share and bless others with what I have experienced so that they will be fired up for God! To God be All Glory!!! Your witness in Christ, Bro Emmanuel

Philippine Mission Trip 2 - Bro Jojo -
Another team of JMK members was involved in a separate mission trip to 4 different places in Philippines, Cebu city, namely, San Rafael Bohol, Olango Island, and Consolacion Cebu. Led by Bro Jojo, the team ventured out in faith to reach out to some 300 children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, while at the same time, minister to their practical needs. The team gave out some 300 school bags and slippers to the needy children as well as providing them with a treat of a good meal. A heartwarming scene was that one of the children, who tasted a good meal for the first time, even sacrificially saved the food for their parents and not eating it. The high point of the ministry was that all 300 children prayed to receive Christ as their personal saviour! Praise God! Besides, the team also ministered to some 200 youth throughout the visit.
God has been very faithful in providing all the needs for the trip and we wish to thank all of you in JMK who has supported us either in financial giving or prayer. All glory be to God!
Bro Jojo.
