ANTI-SPILL MECHANISM Thanks to a hydromechanical compensator the bucket angle adjusts to ensure no material is spilt when lifting.

RELIABLE ENGINE The 4.4litre Perkins engine also exists in a CAT version. It is an engine that does not require any introduction, especially in this stage IIIB version where the DPF does not require an active regeneration.

Crank Case Oil Recovery

ENGINE POWER & TORQUE The net power is 70kw (74.5kw gross) @ 2200rpm. Maximum torque of 450Nm is achieved at 1400rpm.

ENGINE ACCESS The bonnet can be opened with the loader arm lowered or raised. All daily service checks can be made with the loader bucket on the ground.

ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT The efficiency of the engines direct fuel injection and Stage IIIB emissions (flex) is achieved thanks to the electronic management that works alongside the Carraro Transmission.

LOADER CONTROL The Bosch Rexroth control valve located near the pump is for the control of loader lifting, bucket movement and front attachment.

COOLING FAN The cooling pack of the TLB890 is mounted at the front, behind this is a plastic fan mounted directly to the engine, air is drawn through and expelled through the bonnet. An intercooler significantly increases the efficiency of the turbo.

FILTER ACCESSIBILITY The hydraulic oil filter is easily accessed from below the cab. An integrated nut facilitates replacement.

EXCAVATOR CONTROL Mounted behind the rear axle is the Bosch Rexroth closed centre valve used for excavator control featuring negative load sensing when used with the piston pump.

The hydraulic system of the TLB890 varies according to the type of control system selected for the backhoe, tandem gear pump with mechanical controls or variable piston pump with servo controls. Both options offer a maximum flow rate of 160 litres/min. Flow rate is proportional to the engine speed, a hydraulic flow of 100litres/min is achieved at 1400rpm (peak engine torque).

Italian Axles and Transmission POWERSHIFT AVAILABLE

DIFFERENTIAL LOCK The rear differential can be locked by pressing the button on the floor. Removing your foot from the button releases the lock.

In addition to the Carraro synchro shuttle transmission with 4 forward and 4 reverse gears (A torque converter followed by 2 clutches that first engage the direction and then the gear) a powershift transmission is also available, also Carraro. Both axles are also Carraro.

3 DRIVE MODES From the main dashboard you can select 3 different driving/braking modes: full 4 wheel drive, 2 wheel drive with 4 wheel braking and then 2 wheel drive with 2 wheel braking.

8 ADJUSTABLE LED WORKING LIGHTS NIGHT TIME VISIBILITY The Mecalac TLB890 features 8 LED working lights as standard, of which 2 are on the sides. Each one is adjustable to increase visibility.

VERSATILE AND FAST Transport on the road is a fundamental requirement of the Backhoe Loader. The TLB890 is capable of traveling at speeds up to 40km/h.

SAFETY VALVES Both boom and dipper cylinders feature hydraulic safety valves. There is also a cast transport lock with hydraulic activation that increases the level of safety when traveling on the road. The boom is locked when completely raised either in the centre, to the left or right.

Large cab with good visibility CLASSIC CAB The 2 door cab of the Mecalac is a well accessible and a comfortable place to work. The roof covering in ABS provides additional protection from solar radiation. Optional Air conditioning features 14 nozzles. The operators seat is available with mechanical suspension or air suspension with heating. The seat also features a retractable 2 point seatbelt, armrests and adjustable back rest.

WITHOUT THOUGHTS Hydraulic oil is to be changed at 2000 hours, an appropriate figure considering the number of hydraulic attachments that a backhoe can work with. The engine oil change at 500 hours is in keeping with the times.
