Student Guillermo Alfonso Rodríguez, developing workshops to commune 3 families from Ibagué

The families of the commune 3 of Ibague, strengthened their affective and psychosocial links after being carried out the proposal made by the student Guillermo Alfonso Rodríguez, from the program of Psychology of the Center for Distance Education (CEAD) Ibague, which belongs to the South Zone of UNAD. The proposal is for the intended professional experience, one way of degree that UNAD offers to its students in order to achieve the academic grade, which also allows them to develop the s o c i a l f o c u s o f t h e u n i v e r s i t y, appropriating the professional role and demonstrate their competence in different fields of action to which they will face I daily life. It is important to say that during the development of the project “STRENGTHEN SOCIO-AFFECTIVE AND PSYCHOSOCIAL LIKS IN COMMUNE 3 FAMILIES OF IBAGUE”, the Psychosocial Support Centre (CAP) of CEAD was vital in the construction of diagnosis of personality analysis ad observation processes.

Besides because it is considered the appropriate place for the development of strategies that reinforce the construction of human values, representing in better family relationships, better self-concept and citizenship. During the Project surveys, pre-test, post test and workshops based on communication were applied in order to facilitate the interaction between university and community. After the research, it was indentified that, in terms of implementation and use of ICT, largely older people are also interested in making appropriate use of these tools ad want to learn about the subject to approach and understand in a better way with their family and neighbors. Secondly it was determined that residents wishing to participate in the processes that help strengthen relationships, to improve their quality of life. Also, the diagnosis established that to prevent domestic violence is very important as well as the fact of recognizing the vulnerability of people who live in the sector. Respondents said that the family is formed by power of love, but as time passed, this is no longer enough to keep them together and therefore family love is threatened and dissolved. For this reason, they want to rescue the social and civic virtues to help improving relationships and other problems that arise in daily life. Similarly, the diagnosis indicated that communication and emotions are factor that determine the social development of families. Faced with the results produced by the instruments used, it is determined that improving the family conditions it will be possible to guarantee an effective integral development of each one of its members and at the same time, they will participate in the social construction c o m m u n i t y. I n t h i s r e g a r d , t h e Psychosocial Support Center (CAP) of CEAD Ibague will continue working to improve family relationships, communications and profiting spaces that allow the articulation of the beneficiaries, in important family projects at medium and long term, which rescue the family, values, integrity and sense of social belonging, recovering the humanistic sense of ethical and moral values.

A PURPOSE OF THE EXERCISE OF THE MAJORITY OF AGE By José Julián Ñáñez Academic Coordinator Cead Ibagué With the entry of the modern world and all that it meant in many aspects of human life, there was a figure that was slowly strengthening and perhaps some regret his sentence t o d a y, t h e i l l u s t r a t e d m a n , faithfully portrayed and marked for posterity by Kant, in his magnificent essay on the answer to the question "What is illustration?

The illustration is the output of man from his minority blaming themselves (1). The minority means the inability to use their own understanding without the guidance of another, therefore, the learned, following Kant, is the person with status and ability to think for himself, master of his thoughts and decisions, a free person, the latter being understood as a voluntary exercise, a decision which also includes the virtue of putting his personal benefit the common good, thus fulfilling the motto of the Enlightenment: Supere aude! Have the courage to serve your own u n d e r s t a n d i n g ! Nice purpose from every point of view, despite the strong criticism it received from authors such as Marx or Foucault, among others, it remains today, at least in its essence from renewed proposals, but as any dream or ideal to become real, it needs the conditions of possibility in this case, the best way for that Kant himself was scored through another of his texts called Pedagogy, where there is such a wealth of ideas, which is difficult and dared to want to summarize, but I will at least make some of them: First at all, Kant presents education as "the great secret of human perfection" and are illustrated, those called to be "education managers" who seek the formation of a person:

Disciplined: possessed of a humanity without animals. Cultivated: instruction and gifted education. Prudent: with civility. Moral: able to measure ends and means (freedom). However, the multiple reflections that Kant develops around each of the areas mentioned, entering into details other care ranging from food to more high as the use of freedom, finally converge on the idea that an education is learning to think, therefore a bet on the future, is the change from one state to a better one. Hopefully all this flux of approaches, trends and theories, teaching techniques and strategies as well as the result of reflection didactic not give up this noble ideal modern.

UNAD PREPARES THE TWENTY-YEAR PLAN OF CULTURE OF PITALITO

Initial diagnosis of culture in Pitalito UNAD handed to the municipal government at the end of the first phase of the twenty-year cultural plan By JORGE ELIECER CRUZ ORTIZ Director CEAD Pitalito

After conducting a research process that included a survey, interviwes and bibliographic consultations, the first phase of the project for the construction of twenty-year plan of culture of Pitalito was given, which consists of the initial diagnosis, also called “State of the art of culture in Pitalito”. The document was socialized last week as part of the regular meeting of the municipal council of culture. The next step is phase two of the project, which is based on the formulation of the vision and mission, strategic objectives, programs and projects that will guide public investment and management of resources for specific purposes for culture in the next two decades. According to the head of the UNAD in Pitalito, Jorge Eliecer Cruz Ortiz, “The next phase will begin between March and April, therefore, it is expected that the final document of the twenty-year cultural plan is delivered to the laboyana community in the middle of this year.

The cultural diagnosis of Pitalito begins defining laboyanos as “all those men and women who live in the Valley of Laboyos, both native islanders and foreigners, who have achieved to build a knowledge of the environment, an assessment of their socio-cultural conditions, a pride to live on this land and a desire to stay and perpetuate their existtence in this geographical space. Also, in establishing the features that identify a laboyano are common elements such as industriousness, entrepreneurship capacity, the sensititvity of art (painting, dance, literature), a taste for the horses and friendliness of the people . The analysis also indicates that the weather, landscape, the friendliness of the people and the commitment to the land, are the elements that create identity in laboyanos. Here are some of the elements of cutlural diagnosis, including aspects related to the material, social, intellectual and emotional culture, complete information is available at www.planculturapitalito.com

ESTIGMATA By Carlos AndrĂŠs Mendez Student of Psychology Cead IbaguĂŠ Over time, mental illness has been identified as a s t r a n g e phenomenon in almost all dimensions, f r o m t h e d o c t r i n e g a l e n a , expressing psychopathologic conditions in relation to the imbalance of the four humors that govern the body, but beyond any scientific interpretation, there was a period of strong religious sentiments wrapped in a dark cloak and superstition to mental disorders and their treatments, ranging from the exorcism, the bonfire, cages to insulation. These issues have marked the mentality overshadowed the proper acceptance and social integration of those individuals, aspects that until today, weighed for integration on participation in usual environment. It is vitally important, because that is where we define our roles and construct our social identity to which tod @ s have the right, thus consolidating the importance of working in the exclusionary effects of the disease and its social disadvantages that should be dealt to overcome. The social body which argues the exclusion of the mental subject value is "right" that creates an edge separation on the call madness, cataloging of normal and abnormal passing the subject, as crazy, crazy, psychotic, and so on., negative stereotypes against social outreach. Mental illness is a state of psychological distress that requires dynamic compression in various subsidiaries, social, friendship, status, among others, remember that we all have a latent fear of getting it, so why not start acting in developing policies to address and understand their situation?, which does not exclude occupational social circles, his family and the opportunities

Likewise, CERES pariticpated for the first time in the research projects announcement of the National System of Research (SIUNAD) in 2009, where the project WINZO was presented and was classified as a promising initiative, thanks to the research group joint with the National Net of Visibility and Knowledge Management to support and develop this project due to be classified as relevant and vital for the Universitym which will have a high importance in research in the zone and country sphere. The research group has as challenges: finding and obtaining the endorsement by SIUNAD, as a research group of UNAD, Colciencias categorization and recognition as institutional and regional managers of knowledge-based new computing and telecommunications.

Since 2005, taking courses by Research Methodology, Research Techniques, Research Seminars and Project Designs in different programs and courses in Methods of Field W o r k i n Psychology P r o g r a m , started at the Center La Plata a work motivation for the creation of seed research, and only until the end of 2006 and 2007 were generated, with many difficulties, the first 5 seed which I was fortunate to coordinate and advise Reasons, such as time constraints, failure to attend meetings because the seedbeds were composed by students from neighboring towns, were disrupting the research groups, the o n l y remaining s e e d Nutriocci, School of Agricultural Sciences, the U N A D Seedbed Plateño formed by student educators of Psychology program, and as it was a group of graduates recently it disappeared, the Seedbed of Environmental Development Promoters was constituted as a research group whose project was selected to participate in the III National Meeting of researchers in Bogotá and as director I had the opportunity to be the rapporteur.

Its foundation a n d conformation as a town, was done by Captain Diego de Ospina y Maldonado on June 5, 1651, date on which the church of San Sebastian de La Plata was organized. QUALITY SEAL AND NEW CHALLENGES FOR THE COMMUNITY

By Dubis Marcela Rincón Barreto Mirror Cluster South Zone - CEAD Ibague

For proud of students, graduates, tutors and other workers, UNAD university achieved certification of its quality management system under rule ISO 9001:08 and 1000:04 NTC GP, the result of hard work and the amount of successful efforts . The university one more time demonstrated its commitment with the community and the Colombian education, with youth and the progress o f o u r c o u n t r y . In this way, the certification of the university and its quality seal, imposes new challenges on each of the actors in the UNAD community. ISO 9001 and NTC GP 1000 rule, beyond the recognition that can offer a state institution like ours,it invite us to the constant and judicious review about our strengths and our weaknesses, It´s interesting for us the self-reflective exercise and it commits us to continuous improvement of each of the processes. Thus , dear student, graduate and employee: you and your points of view are important for the university, you are part of the UNAD Family, therefore if we are concious of your commitment, consider that each of its proposals, complaints, , suggestions, congratulations, are part of quality assurance. Notice that, as by the our principal of the university Dr. Jaime Alberto Leal, said in the Public reports on Accountability 2009: "The quality is like air ...It´s not seen, but it,s felt." Remember that you and your work must take an UNAD seal For more information about the Quality Management System (CMS) of UNAD, see: http://calidad.unad.edu.co

NETWORK OF STUDENTS GETTING AHEAD THE STUDENT NETWORK UNAD SOUTH ZONE REORGANIZES ITS STRUCTURES By Jorge León Sarasty Petrel Student CEAD Ibagué cautoli@hotmail.com Through a judicious work led by the National Committee Vice President, student Caroline Herrera, and the clear commitment of the students linked to the network; the election of representatives of each of the sites of our University in the departments of Caqueta, Huila and Tolima- which constitute the South Zonewas carried out.

The responsibility of representing each of the sites was as follows: CERES San Vicente Del Caguan, represented by Hector Fabian Gomez Guarnizo, a student of Agroforestry Engineering, CEAD Florence, Alfonso Quintero Vargas, a student of Industrial Engineering; CEAD Pitalito, Leonel Adames Pena, a student of Agroforestry Engineering, CCAV Neiva Victor Hugo Pena Yunda, a student of Transport Management Technology, CERES Lebanon, Harold Alvarez, a student of Business Administration and CEAD Ibague, Jorge Leon Sarasty, a student of Social Communication. The CERES from la Plata in Huila and Mariquita in Tolima still have no representative of the network, but this issue will be resolved in the short term. The six representatives mentioned, with the support and coordination of the student and National Committee ViceChair of the Network, Carolina Calle, and the observer of the process, Jorge Martinez, representative of the CEAD of Pasto made a virtual meeting to choose the zone coordinator. As a result of this, Victor Hugo Pena Yunda from Neiva was elected. The new coordinator of the

Network, raised in its work's proposal among other issues: "The Student Network UNAD as an alternative model organization that promotes adequate spaces to strengthen self-directed learning, aimed at involving students in development institutional, academic, research and social projection of UNAD, using information technologies and c o m m u n i c a t i o n ( I C Ts ) t h r o u g h supportive leadership training and community participation of local and global communities, according to its mission " Some of the responsibilities of the Zonal coordinator are: Be a primary communication channel between the CEAD, CCAV and CERES, with the Directorate of National Student Committee; coordinate, plan and organize with each CEAD, CCAV, CERES of their respective zone, social activities and others that seek the welfare of the university student; dynamize the processes of creating and shaping the primary networks in each CEAD, CCAV, CERES; Ask for reports to each of the representatives of each CEAD, CCA and CERES, on the progress and milestones achieved, and the monitoring of each of the events planned;submit monthly and semiannual reports to the Directors of the National Student Committee on the progress of each CEAD, CCAV, CERES ; Certify the existence of the network structure in the zone, above, pursuant to Article 8 of Regulation UNAD Student Network. Thus it follows as a corollary, our university is interested in implementing participatory planning and Teaching Academic Project founded Solidarity in a teleological component deeply democratic and humanist, therefore, all sectors have fully established their rights and duties for building mega university that dream and with the support of all become reality today what can be considered a utopia. As for the student sector, we have the General Student Regulations, Regulation Welfare University, Academic Regulation, Regulation and the Network Research

Student UNAD legally constituted as a coordinating organization representing students, so that all these components contribute to the improvement of educational quality and social equity to achieve academic excellence and student welfare UNAD In this sense, each of the local networks have developed their work plans for this year, highlighting the commitment to manage in an attempt to do everyday to improve the university and the protection of the rights of students, keeping respect and use of the channels established by law for the protection and enforcement of rights and duties of students and the institution. T H E U N A D A N D I T S CONTRIBUTION TO CULTURAL PRESERVATION By Wilington Rodríguez Jiménez University Welfare Coordinator South Zone The National Open University and Distance Education is an educational institution, which makes presence in multiple locations across the country, having direct contact with cultural events that define and single out the multiplicity of human groups that enrich from their cosmogony, the scaffold of intangible heritage intellectual and Colombians. From the richness of the drums on our coasts and the Middle Magdalena, to the vigorous counterpoint of the plains, through the sweet sound of treble of requintos. Who is more appropriate to perform our Colombian patriotic sentiments, that the UNAD? The coverage of the university involves direct participation in community and regional processes, demanding transcend the role of s p e c t a t o r, m a k i n g p r e v a i l i n g ownership and leadership for the construction of state, nation and homeland. From the social cell minted in each of the towns, villages, towns, cities and departments, through CERES, CEAD and CCAV strategically stranded on the national geography. The natural condition of UNAD expressed in its mission states: Contributing to education for all through open and distance mode through research, the pedagogical, social projection and the methodological innovations and didactic, with the use of information technology and communications, to encourage and support independent learning culture and generating entrepreneurship in the context of global society and knowledge conducive to economic, social and human development of local communities , regional and global quality, efficiency and social equity.

Similarly, the Welfare Rules provides: Article 3. Definition. University Welfare System is the organizational strategy for the development of the individual and communities of the institution and the region through effective implementation, on an ongoing and interrelated programs, projects and services which promote the improved quality of life for community members in contexts where the UNAD exerts its action. This implies the exaltation of the individual as a proactive and participatory agent of social processes of growth, making it necessary to cement the concepts of identity and belonging, that support to initiate and create a code of collective growth. For this reason, the content of sociocultural events leading by the university should establish mechanisms to ensure the recognition, the exaltation and preservation of local heritage and traditions established in folklore elements, ensuring that the globalization of science and technology, not involving the crushing intangible and intellectual heritage which strengthens our stock epic.

THE UNAD IN CAQUETA CONTINUES TO CONTRIBUTE WITH THE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND CARE FOR VULNERABLE POPULATION By Edilberto silva fierro Director CEAD Florencia

Democracy and Peace” wich aim at general, contribute to building peace and social policy and human development in the 16 municipalities in the Department of Caqueta, where the UNAD plays an important role in the formation community leaders on the topics: Learning to Live Together in Community, Communal Leadership as Critical Citizenship, Democracy and Participation of the Community Action and Community Entrepreneurship. On the other hand, in February 2010, we started with the day of induction, the implementation of the agreement with the High Council for Reintegration (HCR) and the UNAD, in which, the CEAD Florence will advance the p r o c e s s o f f o r m a t i o n o f 11 0 participants, who begin their studies in the Continuing Education Program in cycles I, II, III and IV.

The year 2010 in the Department of Caqueta, which began with high expectations and the commitment of academic and administrative body in fulfilling the Operating Plan Zonal and the Development Plan 2007 to 2011, on account of our corporate Mission: "To contribute to the Education for All.” For the first half of 2010, we will continue working on the visibility of UNAD in the regional context, through participation in the various scenarios in which we present continuously and with the support of organizations working in articulation with the academy to seek better quality of life for people most in need of our department. Currently, we are carrying out the execution of several projects that allow us to live out in practice the solidarity and community essence of our organization. With the NGO Creative Hands, we are implementing digital literacy (80) motocycle taxi drivers and street vendors in the Municipality of Florence; in the same way, through the Departmental Committee for International Cooperation, with resourses from the European Community, we are conducting the first phase of the “Caqueta Agenda for

Similarly, we continue with the strengthening of research in the CEAD Florence, and is of great satisfaction for us the news of the funding from a new project SIUNAD and two seedlings of research, emerging from the groups and Cananguchales and Technological Innovation, sorted by Colciencias in category "D" in 2009. Our commitment in this year 2010, is continue to work with our fractal lattice and so our south zone, each day continues to strengthen the work of all centers and the Institutional commitment of all that we are part of the great family of UNAD South Zone.

Honda 3R-C, z e r o emissions vehicle for a passenger The 3R-C Honda concept, demostrates Honda's efforts to achieve a zero emissions vehicle for just a onesperson. It is powered by an electric train, which is mounted lower to reduce the vehicle's gravity center and improve transportation. It has a glass cover that acts as windbreaks and a kind of trunk to save some things. By considering that the demand of energy is growing and resources are being depleted, electricity is not something optional in the near future.

F O U N D A T I O N S O F TELECOMMUNICATIONS RADIO FREQUENCY By Harold Esneider Perez Waltero Tutor ECBTI CEAD Ibagué Without doubt, telecommunications are the area that have generated the greatest influence on the great progress that have been made in different contexts at the global level. The data are the raw material form which derives the information. Data becomes information when its creator adds meaning, that is, when it adds a real value, on the other hand, the electromagnetic waves have allowed that information transcends borders, reaching to locations outside the Earth´s atmosphere.

negative electrons and “positive” protons) are affected and become mutually move? The positive charge exerts an invisible force of attraction on the negative electron: an electric force. The force line only indicates the direction of the force on the charge. Think of a straight line of force between two charges.

The charge creates a “field” of force in the empty space around it. An electron placed anywhere within that field is attracted to the + charge, a positive charge placed in the same place is repelled. The lines in this pattern are known as “lines of force”. Field lines of force “get out” of the great + burden and “get into” the great – burden, so that these two charges are “connected” by field lines. OSCILLATING CHARGES AND ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES The wave here is a vibrant power line, which can be imagined as being “tied” to the oscillating charge.

In everyday life we use the mobile phone, we communicate by Internet with the other side of the world, we monitor the behavior of bodies outside the Earth´s space, but many do not understand how we can achieve these interesting events?. Well, these marvels of contemporary society are possible, thanks to electromagnetic waves. In this first publication I will explain What is electromagnetic wave? and how is generated in a simple way?, that is to say, without mathematical equations. The electric force To understand electric fields and electromagnetic waves first it must know how the loads (such as the

Draw a straight line from the oscillating charge in the direction the wave moves. This line is called a ray. The forces on a positive test charge placed on the ray would be seen as follows:

WAVE RINGS OF POWER LINE Suppose the electron is oscillating around a fixed proton and motionless, then the electron begins to move up and down continuously (load oscillating), it will look something like this:

GENERATION OF WAVES OR RINGS When the oscillating electron is above the stationary proton, a force line looks like this:

This is precisely what happens in an antenna, it is just a single moving charge against another, but a whole range of electrons moving-a current. For example:

Before continuing, let me explain that there are two basic principles of electromagnetism which have enabled major technological developments: Whenever a current flows through an electrical conductor, it creates a magnetic field around it (it becomes a magnet) When a magnetic field is dynamically traversed by a conductor, it induces in the driver an electric current (creates a movement of electrons)

When the charges are too close, the ring closes and moves out.

For these reasons, we can conclude that whenever there is an electric field, there will be a magnetic field. The experience and mathematics have shown that these fields are perpendicular to each other, now let´s continue. These field lines are the same electric field that radiates, therefore, the magnetic field lines are generated perpendicular to this.

Finally, when the electron is below the proton, another ring appears strongly in the opposite direction.

In this way, electromagnetic waves are generated and we can be sure that it occurs as a result of the following effects, caused by the oscillation of an electric charge: A changing electric field produces a magnetic field. A changing magnetic field generates an electric field.

MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES The three main characteristics of waves that constitute the electromagnetic spectrum are: ? Frequency (F) ? Length (ĂŤ) ? Amplitude (A) Wave length = C (speed of light) / F (frequency) All electromagnetic spectrum radiations present the typical properties of wave motion, such as diffraction, refraction, reflection and interference.
