INFORMATION ___________________________________________________________________________ TEACHER ONLY DAY Please note that our school is closed on Wednesday 11 August 2021 for a Teacher only Day directed by the Ministry of Education to develop the current changes to NCEA teaching and assessment. These days are important for the development of our school and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping your child at home. Please note our charter bus will run as normal for those students attending Mokoia Intermediate.
___________________________________________________________________________ ASSESSMENT ASSISTANTS NEEDED
Our students need your help! If you would like to volunteer your time to help our tamariki at RLHS as a Reader/Writer/Typist during exams, then we are having a training evening for “Assessment Assistant” volunteers and staff. We would love the help from our community as many of our students have special learning needs that require your support, that will allow them to succeed at school. The details of the training are below and if you would like to know more please email me at gainsfordh@rotorualakes.school.nz. All support is welcomed. Event Venue: Rotorua Lakes High School Staffroom Time: 6pm - 7pm Date: 12th August 2021 Tea and coffee will be provided and some nibbles. ___________________________________________________________________________ STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE ELECTION FOR THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES Nominations are invited for the election of one student representative to the Board of Trustees. Nomination forms can be obtained from Student Reception. Nominations close at noon on Friday 20 August. Please take completed forms to Student Reception. Nominations should be accompanied by a candidate’s statement. A list of candidates’ names will be displayed, as they come to hand, at Student Reception.
