We Show Up for our Patients
Patient Testimonial: Amyliah and Baby Rue, Happy Bottoms Recipients
Amyliah and her partner welcomed their baby girl, Rue, just before Christmas in 2022. Through our partnership with Happy Bottoms, she was able to receive a package of 75 newborn diapers; providing parents with this necessity can mean earlier access to other critical services the family needs. In 2022, Happy Bottoms distributed more than 42,000 diapers to Research Medical Center and served 490 moms. Learn more about the incredible ways Happy Bottoms shows up alongside our staff for our patients.

We Show Up for our Communities
MLK Day of Service, January 16
"Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?” - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Together with Research Psychiatric Center and Overland Park Regional Medical Center, we showed up for our community and volunteered at the Cleaver Family YMCA. Our HR team also showed up to serve food at City Union Mission and our Pastoral Care team hosted a booth where inspirational quotes and reflections were shared with all. We were so grateful and proud to commit to a day of service for the good of our community. Watch our recap Reel here.

Celebrating Our Colleagues on Pharmacist Day
On January 12th, RMC celebrated National Pharmacist Day, honoring the differences pharmacists make in patients’ lives each day. We have pharmacists that work in intensive care, emergency medicine, oncology, internal medicine, kidney transplant, NICU, burn, psych, investigational drugs, and informatics.

conducted a Walk-a-Mile with
"I had the pleasure of walking-a-mile with Kathy, PCT, in inpatient rehab. Kathy has been with RMC since 2016 and has loved being in this unit since day one. She spoke so highly of the teamwork within her department and how everyone works together to help patients (and one another). Kathy always had a smile on her face as she cared for her patients and ensure they were comfortable. Thank you, Kathy, for all you do and for the warm hug at the end!"
