Julie Filbeck Reflects on Breast Cancer Journey with Bra Couture
Breast Cancer Awareness Month may be over but Julie Filbeck, CNO and breast cancer survivor, is here to tell you to always remain diligent no matter the time of year
"Don’t ignore any sign or symptom! Be diligent about your wellness exams, and be an advocate for yourself, cancer does not discriminate."
Through her journey, Julie was able to connect with a network of survivors through her participation in Bra Couture and Verda's Place at Sarah Cannon Cancer Center.
"I was lucky to have amazing support through my cancer journey, but so many women struggle with medical bills, reliable transportation to treatments, money to buy food or pay bills, Bra Couture assists women and families with so many things as they go through one of the most difficult challenges in life, for them, it is so much more than the bra!" We Show Up for our Communities
Masking Update: Community Transmission Rates in Missouri
As Jackson and Johnson Counties in Missouri continue to show HIGH community transmission rates, we will follow CDC guidelines with our masking policy, including wearing masks in non patient areas while in the hospital What this means :
Community transmission describes the amount of COVID-19 spread within each county, and is an indicator of the contagiousness of the virus. Healthcare facilities use Transmission Levels to make decisions regarding infection control measures, such as masking and isolation precautions. Refer to Appendix 3 for PPE selection guidanc e. Filtration efficiency ranges: > 95% (Level 1) and > 98% (Level 3). Questions can be directed to Infection Prevention Department. Thank you for your continued partnership as we keep our patients, our community and each other safe.
