performed with the band Renegade there. He also has performed with the Argentine band Thabu. He has one of the most powerful voices we’ve heard in a long time. Songs on this album were written by guitarist and keyboardist Nasson, who also lends his voice to several of the tunes. The songs are definitely well crafted and feature some of the best metal lyrics we’ve heard in a long time. They are certainly well thought out and emotional. Nassan is certainly well known in the Chilean music scene as well. He is a multi-instrumentalist with over 15 years of production, writing, and singing under his belt. Other bands that he has worked with include Caterina Nix and Chaos Magic, which went on to receive international recognition, not to mention showcasing the multi-talents of Nassan himself. Rounding out the lineup on this band is Nicolas Fischer on bass and Guillermo Pereira on drums. Guillermo is certainly a powerhouse drummer. Guillermo has worked in the past with Recrucide and VPS. His drumming coupled with the steady bass lines of Nicolas Fischer make for one helluva rhythm section. One by one the songs on this album just light up the speakers in your sound system. Their ‘take no prisoners’ sound really keeps the groove heavy. However, there are some more melodic moments on here as well with songs like the poignant “Forever” and “Who Am I”, which will both tug on your heartstrings. If this is the future of Chilean metal music, then the rest of the world is going to have to step it up a notch. These guys are first class. There are 11 really well-crafted songs on this album that will definitely have you screaming for more. You metal heads out there are going to have to add this album to your collection as soon as you can. Believe me, the future of Metal in Chile looks very bright!
Chile’s Sinner’s Blood Unveils Debut Album The Mirror Star By Tank Chile is known for exporting grapes, produce, chemicals, copper, and fish, but now its newest export is Heavy Metal Music. That’s right, one of the hottest exports to leave this South American country is the new Heavy Metal band, Sinner’s Blood. Their debut album, The Mirror Star will be released this month on the 9th, via Frontiers Music. The band has managed to craft a melodic sound all their own filled with lightning fast licks coupled with a thunderous rhythm section along with powerful and incredible vocals . The
first song on the album, the title song off the album, “The Mirror” kicks the project into high gear with a growling guitar that shows the band is ready to compete with any other band out there. These guys are rocking. The vocals of Chilean vocalist James Robledo leads me to believe that one of his big influences must have been the late Ronnie James Dio. Although there are similarities there, James definitely has his own voice on these well-crafted songs.
