Face masks can be worn by any student who wishes to do so

The Roedean community is very tolerant and accepting of the wishes and needs of others – historically there has not been any intolerance or racial bullying in relation to the wearing of face masks, and, moving forward, we continue to have a zero tolerance approach to bullying of any kind

Students should have a personal supply of masks, wherever possible

Students will have a temperature check on arrival

These will be carried out by medical staff and first-aid trained House staff

Students who show any symptoms will undergo further testing

Thorough handwashing routines will be implemented throughout the school day

All visitors to the site will be required to use anti-bacterial hand sanitiser

Provision of Hand Sanitiser

Regular Cleaning of Common Areas

Hand sanitiser will be available at places throughout the School and staff and students will be required to make use of it regularly

Hand sanitiser will be available in every classroom, and in every boarding house

Using hand sanitiser will be compulsory on entering the Dining Rooms

Rigorous cleaning and disinfecting of rooms and furniture will take place regularly

The School has a proven record of high levels of cleanliness, having recently won a Gold Award

This will include common touchpoints, such as door handles and bannisters
