On Tuesday, 18 October 2022 PCV held its 47th Annual General Meeting at the iconic Porsche Centre Melbourne followed by a Social Club Night evening with over 176 members attending.

The AGM commenced at 6.30 pm after Secretary Neville Sampson confirmed that a quorum was present. President Mark Horton Andrews commenced proceedings welcoming and thanking members for their attendance and following the confirmation of the minutes of the previous AGM, Mark and the Treasurer David Mallinson delivered their reports to members.

In his Treasurer's Report David Mallinson advised that in line with the Committee's decision to subsidise more events in financial year 2022 to compensate the reduced events over the last two years due to covid restrictions, that the Club reported an operating loss for the year. He went on to overview that the Club remains in a healthy position with increased memberships and a healthy balance sheet that carried reserves in excess of our minimum target.

In financial year 2022, our total Membership was 2,126, a net increase of 147 from financial year 2021 and with an annual renewal percentage above 90%. The primary membership exceeded 1,000 for the sixth time with a record of 1,324.

David said that the General Committee would continue to review the club’s financial position and set Budgets to ensure the Club’s reserves exceeded the minimum target.

In closing, David announced that after presenting six Annual Reports, he was stepping down as Treasurer and that Flavio Lacota had been nominated for election later in the meeting. David also acknowledged the diligent work by our Club Administrators Carly Pasco and Lisa Gillespie both of whom had assisted him greatly.

Following the presentation of the President’s and Treasurer’s Reports, the Annual Report of the Club was adopted and office holders along with general committee members were elected. Thanks were offered on behalf of the Club to our administrative staff before the AGM was closed.
