PCV at MotorClassica

Sunday 13th October 2022 Story & Photos: Owen Baker

On Sunday 9th October 13 cars from PCV participated in the Marque Park display at MotorClassica on the forecourt of the iconic Royal Exhibition building. It has been 3 years since the last MotorClassica and classic car enthusiasts were out in force indulging their passion for all things with 4 wheels (and a few with 2 or 3).

In the PCV area we organised a display of old and modern Porsche classics, including a 991 GT3 RS, GT4, 911 Turbo, 911 Cab, 911 Coupe, 365 in bare metal, and a good representation of the Torque Tube cars including a 968 Cab, 944 Turbo Cab, 968 Turbo RS, 944 Turbo Coupe, 968 GTS and 928 S.

Inside the main hall were 100’s of other rare and exotic cars, including a Ferrari 75th Anniversary display, an Icon's of Speed display which included a broad age range of cars from a 1904 Napier L48 Samson thorough to a Bugatti Veyron. Porsche was also well represented with a special display of rare and desirable models. Other celebration displays included 60 Years of Shelby and 110 Years of Bertone.

If you’ve not been to MotorClassica then make sure you visit next year. It is by far the best classic car event in the Southern Hemisphere. Thanks to club members Brett Nolan, Alex Danielsen, Adam Stafford, Jim Bradley, Justin Reed, Scott Brenchley, Marilyn Baker and Phillip Robinson for providing their cars and their assistance on the day.
