The following General Committee members were declared elected:
Ron Widdison, Garry Saber, Cameron Goodyear, Clyde White, Andrew Smith, Paul Sbrissa, Russell Sturzaker and David Mallinson.
Both the President’s and Treasurer's Reports are included in full in the Minutes of the meeting, which are available on the Club Website, under the About the Club tab, and then under Annual Reports.
Following the AGM, Russell Sturzaker warmly welcomed attendees and acknowledged Past President's Michael O'Brien, Tony Carolan, Peter Harrison and Andrew Bonwick who were present at the meeting.
Russell also introduced new members Justin Bradley, Gary Campbell, John Haralabakos, Peggy and Robert Padanyi, Iral Scholten-Castillo and Rachel Brisbane.
A buffet dinner was then served with tasty choices of poached Tasmanian salmon, slow-cooked beef brisket, chicken with piperade sauce, a gourmet salad bar and freshly baked bread rolls (with a gluten-free option.) All were accompanied by a great selection of beverages.
Following Dinner, the President spoke briefly to note the upcoming President's Day at Sandown, in November 2022. In particular he noted that new Frontal Head Restraint rules will apply and that this will be the first President’s Day to which the changed rules apply!
Clyde White then highlighted coming events.
Clyde advised that the rising cost of catering at events, cafes and restaurants had unfortunately impacted on the costs of organising social events. A fact he encouraged our members to please take into consideration and understand, when viewing advertised events for registration. However, while these factors will affect our future events, the aim was to ensure members receive quality within budget!
He said the Social Committee motto was, “to always do better!"
In closing, Clyde thanked Russell Sturzaker praising his 'Midas Touch' in organising the AGM Club Night. He then acknowledged the attendance and assistance of Social Committee members Anna Cook, Alvaro Del Gallo, Vickie Morris, Geoffrey Mould, Stephen Lofthouse, Kon Gogos, Werner Engel and Vice President Melanie Treloar.
Clyde then thanked and acknowledged the support of Piero Pellegrini, Kate Holcombe and Porsche Centre Melbourne for hosting our Club Night.
The Club extends its thanks to Fabulous Catering for their commitment to quality and service, and to Club Sponsor Traction Tyre & Suspension Centre.
