Former Dawnay Head Gail Hard’s Special Report Many of you will know Gail from her years at The Dawnay and Aprender are delighted that she has joined the team! Here’s her report from her recent visit to Lebanon.
Aprender’s Phil Hawkins, Rachael Underwood and Gail Hard in the Chouf Mountains of Lebanon
“It was with some trepidation that I joined Phil and Rachael on a visit to Lebanon on 20th January 2018. There were a number of reasons for this: would I be up to the job? Would I have the mental and physical capacity to offer something useful to build on Phil and Rachael’s previous work? Would I manage the cultural challenges? etc. Despite a thorough induction and discussion about the areas I could support with, I was to find that there would be nothing quite like being there to appreciate the challenges and the need to be flexible and adapt according to the needs of the moment! We were warmly welcomed by our hosts, Amal and Racha, in the Chouf mountains. The school is a church at the weekends so the teachers arrived at around 8.30 on the Monday morning to organise the rooms, ready for the school day. The children arrived by bus and helped each other and independently settled themselves. The training session for the primary age class teachers went down well. The positive relationships between teachers/ adults and children was clear to see and the children appeared happy and enthusiastic. We then headed to Beirut and visited a local church running a primary school for refugees supported by
4 Looklocal Magazine - April 2019
Aprender. The children were confident and outgoing, very pleased to talk with us and share their learning. Again, I was struck by the commitment of the staff to improve their practice. My final working day was spent in a delightful morning observing across all classes: English, Science, Arabic and Maths. This was extremely helpful in gaining a sense of the priorities for improvement. Once again, the positive relationships between the teachers and the children shone through and the children were happy and enthusiastic. The training, carried out in the afternoon was well received and we are hopeful that as result, planning for specific learning objectives and for active learning will continue to improve. From my point of view, I particularly enjoyed the stimulation of working with like-minded educators, however, as well as this there was camaraderie, laughter and a sense of purpose. Lebanon, and particularly
The Aprender team with the wonderful staff of CLEF preschool for refugees in Lebanon
Beirut, really is place of contrast and extremes; from the chaotic to the sophisticated and the war-torn to the modern and upmarket.” Interested in investing in the next training visit? Please visit our website at www.aprender.co.uk and click ‘donate’. We would also love to draw your attention to the support initiative of Wellers Hedleys (see opposite). Do give some serious thought to the May Month of Wills. Every penny will go directly to support Aprender work. Thanks so much.

Gardening Matters S UM M ER P L A N TI NG
And lo, it came to pass that April was upon us and the need to think of summer bedding became apparent. Here are some ideas for planting. Alstromeria and hardy lilies - a long flowering season, and a lot will survive Arctic conditions. Need a sunny spot with good drainage but many won’t tolerate lime. Some varieties are heavily perfumed, eg. Stargazer. Susceptible to lily beetle, a bright red beetle which you have permission to stamp on. Gladioli - 4 categories: a) large stately flowers which need staking; b) shorter varieties (primulinus) with hooded petals; c) butterfly varieties, slightly bigger than miniatures, with blotches on the throats of the flowers; d) true miniatures, to be planted in little groups at the front of the border. Variety of colours but all prefer sunny, well-drained, fertile soil. Not completely hardy and need planting 4-6ins. deep in March, with some horticultural sand in the hole to aid drainage. Campanula - very many varieties, like sun/semi-shade and moisture-retentive soil. C.glomerata ‘Superba’ has a large globe of flower. Verbascum - height makes it ideal for right in the herbaceous border. Huge variety of colours and foliage is mostly hairy/silvery/grey and drought-resistant - indeed, it doesn’t like a lot of rain. Needs a hot, open, sunny spot in well-drained soil. Foxglove - hardy with spikes of poisonous flowers up to 3-4ft. Self-supporting, prefers semi-shade. Variety of

colours. Easy to propagate by seed, but allow 2 years. Grow wild foxglove - digitalis purpurea - for a natural look: it will just get on with growing. Hollyhock - hardy, with spikes of flower. Grow up against a house wall to bake in well-drained soil. Can grow to 5-7 ft, a variety of colours. Rust, a powdery brown residue on the underside of leaves, will finish off a hollyhock, so buy rust-resistant varieties. If you discover rust, pull the plant up and burn it to prevent it spreading. Delphinium - needs well-prepared ground, individual stakes and a lot of feeding with tomato fertiliser as summer progresses. As soon as flowering is over, cut out the flower stalk completely, re-feed and there may be a 2nd flush of colour. Very tall, back of border material. Antirrhinum (snapdragon) - half-hardy, comes in a variety of colours and likes full sun. Dwarf varieties are 6 ins., full size 24 ins. Will self-seed. Larkspur and lupin - will self-seed. Plant larkspur in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil, and lupin in full sun in well-drained, alkaline, moisture-retentive soil. Beware, lupin doesn’t like being moved. Penstemon - a variety of colours for front of border. Some tiny ones are ideal for rockeries. Good leaf cover and delicate flower. Full sun, fertile, well-drained soil. Cut back hard in early spring if it becomes too leggy. There, that’s just a selection. Also lovely are baptisia, monarda, sidalcea and zinnia (full sun), and phlox (semishade), but I’ve run out of space now. Get planting, you know you want to. |

STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE
I think this recipe will be perfect for a wonderful Easter feast. It is so gorgeous to look at, wonderfully good for you and tastes fab. It’s a recipe I’ve adapted from Tanya Bryer’s ‘Uncook Book’ which is a wonderful eye-opener to the art of enjoying eating raw food.
INGREDIENTS For the base layer: 150g pitted dates, soaked for 4-6 hrs if too dry 115g Brazil nuts 45g desiccated coconut ½ tsp Himalayan salt For the cream layer: 260g cashew nuts, soaked for 4-6 hours (or overnight) 210g coconut oil, melted 120ml lime juice (about 3 limes) 140g xyzlitol 2 tbsps vanilla extract For the strawberry layer: 600g fresh strawberries, hulled 5 Medjool dates 1 tsp vanilla extract
COOKING METHOD 1. Make the base layer first. Pulse all the ingredients in a food processor. Transfer the mixture into a 23cm/9” springform cake tin and press it down firmly with your fist to form a crust across the base. 2. Drain the cashews. Blend all the cream layer ingredients in a high powered blender to a smooth consistency. Pour the cream over the base and refridgerate for a minimum of 3 hours to set. 3. To make the strawberry layer, place 200g/7oz of the strawberries, along with the dates and vanilla, into a blender and blend until smooth. 4. Cut the remaining strawberries into quarters, fold them in with the strawberry sauce and pour this chunky mixture over the set cake. (You can keep a few strawberries aside to scatter on the top which makes it look a little prettier!) 5. Remove the sprung side of the cake tin and transfer the cheesecake to a serving plate.
NOTE: The cake will freeze well for up to 2 months without the strawberry layer - simply make it fresh when you are ready to serve.

HOME WANTED! Tabby Cat
Our lovely TabbyCat had been a wandering nomad for many years. He was fed by an elderly lady, who has gone into a nursing home, but otherwise had had no contact with humans. We think he was a domestic kitten who went wandering off when he reached maturity and then lived rough until we took him into care. He is very friendly, loving, content, enjoys cuddles and, in fact, falls asleep in your lap! He also loves catnip toys, he really enjoys his food and loves Dreamies! TabbyCat is about 10 years old, neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and in good health. He could possibly live with another, older, cat but not with dogs or young children. We would like an experienced cat lover to introduce him to the luxuries of living in a home. If you feel you could give TabbyCat the home with garden that he so richly deserves please ring Sue on 020 8390 3165. Epsom Ewell & District Branch http://www.epsom.cats.org.uk If you cannot adopt a cat but would still like to help us please go to https://www.justgiving.com/Epsom-CatsProtection
As we have around 7,000 cats and kittens in our care at any one time, we will find you the perfect feline friend. www.cats.org.uk Reg Charity 203644 (England and Wales) and SC037711 (Scotland)

Scams and Password protection... the importance of protecting your passwords
There are reports almost daily of data breaches and significant losses of users’ credentials from large, reputable businesses like hotel chains, airlines and the like. Recent companies to acknowledge they have been compromised are: MyFitnessPal had 143 Million account details breached or stolen MyHeritage reported 91 Million records taken MySpace had 359 Million accounts hacked Linkedin had 164 Million accounts breached Adobe had 152 Million accounts stolen Facebook had 87 Million records breached Now you might, correctly, say “why does it matter that someone has your MyFitnessPal account details?” In isolation it may not be very significant, but you may have stored your credit or bankers details on their system, and more significantly they will have your user name and password. If the same crooks, then breached, say, your Adobe account information, they might see that your account user name and password have similarities, which they then may go try and login to, say, Amazon as you, and start buying items for delivery to their locations. This isn’t scare-mongering, it is reality What can you do to protect yourself? There is a useful website named www.haveibeenpwned.com. By putting in your email address it will tell you how many recorded breaches of your email address have been recorded. If you try this random email address johnsmith@hotmail.com, it will tell you it has been compromised on 92 occasions and where this compromise came from If you have been pwned what can you do? Change your email password twice in a week, and ensure your new password is not similar to the old one, ensure it has numbers, upper, lower case letters, and punctuation symbols in it. Try to have a different password for your major activities like email, shopping websites, finance websites. Personally, I have used a password storing program for years called Ascendo DataVault, it will synchronise with your smart phone, PC, Mac and tablets. In the program I never record the actual password, obviously this is personal preference, I might have password “A” being Apple, “B” being Banana, then I might add my work postcode, making my password Bwork? actually becoming “BananaKT227AW?” To check out how secure your new password is you could put it into www.howsecureismypassword.net, the above example would take a computer 415Million years to crack! As part of our Total Care Support package we get asked to help recover users accounts details where their accounts have been hacked. In most cases we are successful, but can’t be guaranteed.

BOOKHAM BEE’S WI QUIZ NIGHT
On Saturday 9th February Bookham Bees WI held a Quiz Night at the Old Barn Hall This was the first fundraising event for local charities, organised by Bookham Bees WI, since its inauguration in April 2018. The hall was bursting at the seams with 144 eager WI members and friends filling it to capacity. The evening started with a delicious supper of jacket potatoes with chilli con carne and a salad, provided
30 Looklocal Magazine - April 2019
by Clark’s Café, followed by a selection of homemade cakes and coffee. And then down to the serious business of quizzing! Everyone put their thinking caps on encouraged by our Quiz Master, Paul Wilde, who made the evening buzz with fun, stretching our minds enough to make us think but allowing us to use our imagination. The winners were richly rewarded with a bar of Green & Black chocolate each! There is great demand for a repeat performance next year to brighten up a cold February evening. If you are interested in joining Bookham Bees WI, which meets on the first Wednesday of every month in The Harrison Room, The Old Barn Hall, Church Road, Great Bookham at 7.30 for 7.45pm, please email: bookhambees@outlook.com

The Friends of Bookham Commons exists to help conserve the natural habitat of the Commons. Whether or not you are familiar with the 450 acres of the three commons (Great Bookham, Little Bookham and Banks) we welcome and encourage visitors to walk there and discover the beauty of this unique location. The children's natural play area, sponsored by Friends of Bookham Commons also has picnic tables. We work alongside the National Trust in helping to maintain this habitat for the benefit of wildlife and visitors. A large three year project to encourage the return of nightingales and cuckoos has just been funded and completed. We welcome new members to contribute to this worthy cause with an annual subscription of just £10 which covers all those residing at the one address. It is the subscriptions which fund all the projects the 'Friends' undertake. St. Nicolas Church Great Bookham (and Friends)
THE HISTORY There has been a church in the centre of Great Bookham on the same site since Saxon times. The land on which it stands was given in 675 by the Abbott of Chertsey. This lovely 11th century Grade 1 listed building dedicated to St. Nicolas. It was a Barn church with windows high in the wall. It was a place of worship before King William I decided to invade Britain and is recorded in his Domesday Book of 1086. In 1140 the Church was extended with a small aisle on the south side. The tower was started in stone at this time, but because it started to subside, it was completed in wood and later buttressed in the 15th Century. The church has been extended over the centuries and contains many memorials and artefacts detailing the many notable people and families who protected and nurtured both the church and Great Bookham itself. It is a virtual history of the village. A particular feature is that it stands at the centre of Great Bookham, unlike many village churches which were built by the lord of the manor on their land. That does mean, however, that it does not have a car park! Over the last millennium the building has been extended and enhanced to provide for the demands of worshippers and the established church of the day. THE CHALLENGE 36 years ago, the late Councillor Ken Matts, foreseeing the heavy and increasing expenditure required to keep our church in good repair established “The Friends of St Nicolas Church”, a secular charity which raises funds to help. It is supported by Church members and others who wish to see our village landmark preserved for all
40 Looklocal Magazine - April 2019
and for future generations. As a grade 1 listed building the utmost care must be taken with all work undertaken. All churches included many symbolic features and ours more than most. The costs are enormous and the charter of the Friends is to support the preservation, repair and beatification of the church and its churchyard. There are around 60 of us who currently support the Friends financially and we have supported over 40 projects. These included fixing the roof, restoring and protecting the many stainedglass windows, installing new lighting and much more. A vital contribution was for the rebuilding of the tower in 1999-2000 when it required major repairs and its oak frame was found to be need of replacement. Last year the Friends financed again the refurbishment of the tower when was found to be necessary. The tower also encloses the familiar clock and while retaining the face, the mechanism, which take the exact time by radio from an atomic clock, was provided by the Friends in 2015. It is now one of the most accurate clocks in Great Bookham. Presently, the church organ is undergoing major refurbishment. It was originally built in 1886 and came to Great Bookham in 1968. The pipes themselves required a deep clean and repair. The console where our own Director of Music, Peter Lutton, produces such inspiring music is being overhauled. This is the first such refurbishment in over 30 years and should allow it to continue in use for at least another 30 years. The Friends are providing £25,000 to enable this project. This effort has made an enormous difference in ensuring that our church remains a central feature of Great Bookham, standing proudly over our village and to the glory of God. Ken Matts would indeed be proud today, as are we all. You may find out more about the Friends by picking up a leaflet in the church lobby.

Bookham Wine Club ‘Current Trends in the World of Wine’ A special evening with wine expert Angela Bawtree - Monday April 08 2019 Angela Bawtree makes a very welcome return to our club on April 8th to entertain members and guests with news of the fascinating developments in the world of wine. During the evening, Angela will highlight the increasing focus on organic and biodynamic wine production, including natural wines, low sulphite wines, orange wines (not what you think!) and even low alcohol wines. We will also hear how wine makers are coping with the challenges of climate change, and how newer (cooler) regions in the ‘New World’ are being developed, with the aim of producing more elegant and complex styles. And of course, the evening would not be complete without some great wines to taste - six in all - each one chosen to exemplify an aspect of Angela’s presentation
Meetings are held in the Harrison Room at The Old Barn Hall on the second Monday evening of each month. They are relaxed and friendly, and you don’t need to be an expert in wine, you just need to enjoy drinking it, and have a thirst for knowledge! STAN MILES 1931 - 2019
It was very sad to hear that Stan Miles died over the weekend of 9th of March. I was fortunate to have known Stan during my many years as BRA Chairman but Stan had been a stalwart part of the BRA long before I arrived. Stan lived many many years in Bookham raising his family and all the time giving almost unlimited time to many organisations in the village where his persistence, skills and wise words were always influential. These included the BRA, Bookham Scouts, both primary and secondary schools, as well as the BCA; a village polymath. I knew Stan best for his work on the BRA Planning Committee and over
46 Looklocal Magazine - April 2019
the past few years as the Planning Committee’s Chairman. A difficult job and an unsung hero’s task. He did this with patience, good sense and always with an eye on the need to respect and work with the complex formal planning processes. He provided much knowledge to the Neighbourhood Development Plan on the steering committee. I can only record a small part of his life and service to Bookham. Most of all though I will miss him as a friend, a mentor and a calm guiding voice in troubled times. Rest in peace you wonderful and irreplaceable man. Peter Seaward Chairman BRA
MOLE VALLEY DISTRICT COUNCIL’S
LOCAL PLAN (2018 -2033):
IMPLICATIONS FOR BOOKHAM Peter Seaward – BRA Chairman Mole Valley District Council are reaching the end of their work on the next Local Plan. Called “Future Mole Valley” a policy (once completed) sets out plans for development across Mole Valley for the period 2018-2033, includes targets for delivering new homes, identifies locations for development and sets out areas which will continue to be protected. This will become available for us all to comment on in late June 2019. The Neighbourhood Development Plan for Bookham (NDP) which was the subject of a village referendum in May of 2017 will form part of this plan although which of its policies will be continued or cease to exist will be decided on by our Councillors and MVDC. Although subject to five years of hard work by many here in Bookham it is disappointing that policies expected to be taken into account by MVDC Planners have on occasions been “trumped” by other planning policies. The Council are charged by Government to build nearly 7,000 new dwellings throughout Mole Valley over the next fifteen years. This is an annual rate of over 400 dwellings compared with the present rate of around 190. In Bookham we know because of the work done previously on the NDP most of the sites that MVDC are likely to be considering. Of these the larger ones would be Preston Farm (the area between Little Bookham Street and Water Lane). Bookham Fields (south of the Lower Road Recreation Ground to the A246 and between The Lorne and Rectory Lane), and
Rolls Farm (between Rectory and Manor House Lanes). We have pressed MVDC and our Councillors to resist any new developments until assurances and practical plans are seen that address the infrastructure deficit that this potential volume of new building would cause. There will be a public consultation of six weeks after the Draft Local Plan is available and MVDC will be hosting road shows in Bookham and elsewhere. Our role in the BRA is to be a conduit for as much information as possible that we can gather and feedback especially to our Councillors what reaction there is within Bookham, about this Plan. Final decisions about what will eventually be forthcoming will rest with Mole Valley Councillors. You may submit comments to the BRA on the BRA website: www.bookhamresidents.org.uk or call 0300 030 9890 and we will aggregate these and share with Councillors. Also available on the web site is an extended briefing. Finally, we must reiterate that all the information presented here are those we in the BRA have deduced and may well be wrong but, in our opinion, we need to alert residents to the possibilities and make some estimates about and what the consequences for us all these might bring but these are the best we can arrive at without more concrete facts. Further information on the Local Plan can be found on the MVDC website: https://www.molevalley.gov. uk/index.cfm?articleid=33905

POEM CORNER A Mum’s Lament (Written for a friend who was having a problem!)
For much too long we’ve been ignored So I want to suggest a new award For those hard-pressed Mums with a child like mine Who battle to get her to the Pool on time. Every Saturday morning, the same routine, I run out of patience, I want to scream. “Time to get up!” - “I’ve an awful head. Can’t I stay a bit longer in bed? I’ve cramp in my toe, my throat feels sore!” Whatever she says, I’ve heard it before. “My costume’s at school, there’s a tear in my hat, The strap on my goggles’ been chewed by the cat”. I nag and cajole, I shout myself hoarse To get her to swimming-which she loves of course. We zoom to the Centre, I whisper, “Have fun!” I’m a physical wreck and my day’s not begun. I sometimes wonder if it’s worth all the hassle For every week we have the same battle, But at special events and gala nights When they line up in their diagonal stripes, Poised to take off at the sound of the gun There’s no greater fan than her proud ‘old’ Mum!!

THE LEATHERHEAD & DISTRICT LOCAL HISTORY SOCIETY
The Secret Gardens of London We may be some way from the capital but it is a fair bet that most people in the Leatherhead district have a feel for London. So it was hardly surprising that Colin Jones, former BBC film editor and current chairman of Sanderstead Horticultural Society, drew a packed audience to the Letherhead Institute for his recent talk on London’s 600 public parks and gardens, flower markets, b o t a n i c collection at Kew, and superb flower shows. Covering 67 square miles, London was the world’s greenest capital, he said. From the oldest garden behind Westminster Abbey - over 900 years old - to one of the newest, the Sky Garden at the top of the “Walky Talky” skyscraper in the City, London offered public access to some truly remarkable green spaces, many of them totally free of charge for visitors. The talk was illustrated of course with fabulous imagery of these wonderful places. At this time of year, snowdrops, orchids and crocuses at Kew and a million daffodils at Hampton Court were obvious attractions. Less well known was the private collection at Caterham of the head of the Ann Summers retail chain. Lambeth Palace had the Garden Museum
52 Looklocal Magazine - April 2019
and the Tradescants, the capital’s second largest garden after the Queen’s at Buckingham Palace. Third biggest was that of the new US Embassy. Pettycoat Lane’s flower market was a fantastic sight in the East End while the Royal Parks nursery near the Serpentine provided 12,000 geraniums for Buckingham Palace alone. Further out of the centre were Ham House with the country’s oldest orangery, the extraordinary Temperate House at Kew and the “palace of palaces” at Osterley. At Purley, Colin himself and two friends produced auriculas which had won a gold medal at the Chelsea Flower Show. Others covered included Chelsea Physic Garden, the new roof garden at Crossrail Place by Canary Wharf, and the gardens of Queen Mary and Lord Bute at Regents Park. The mature plane trees of Berkeley Square were among the gardens of 100 private squares open to the public on Open Squares Weekend in June. A string of other less well known sites were shown from the City to Chiswick. He concluded with imagery of some of the fabulous Christmas trees in the capital at the end of every year. The Leatherhead & District Local History Society’s monthly talks start at 8pm in the Letherhead Institute with coffee from 7.30pm. Entrance £2. For more information on what is coming up and lots more about the area’s fascinating past, go to www.leatherheadhistory.org or send an email to newsletter@leatherheadhistory.org.
“Modifying the
Electronics
of Modern Classic Cars“ COMPETITION BY TED MACAULEY
Every now and then a specialised book to treasure, either for entertainment or instruction, or both, finds its way into our midst and guarantees itself a welcome and prominent place in our display of volumes. And that is the case with Veloce’s superb publication entitled “Modifying the Electronics of Modern Classic Cars”. An impressive paperback of 256 pages and ten chapters, destined to clear up any worries and problems you might suffer if you are determined to pep up and revive your slightly older car’s performance with a level
of expertise passed on from a veritable star of the auto world, Julian Edgar. He offers the complete, step by step , easy-to-follow guide to advancements and improvements to 1990s and 2000s cars, that even an electronic dunce like me find comfortable to follow. It is typically, a finely tuned representative of the rather excellent automotive book publisher, Veloce in their vast list of publications, covering all aspects of motoring and featuring just about every make of car. The latest, aimed specifically at their WorkshopPro (IWorkshopPro) Series, will be a crucial accompaniment to the enthusiast who opts to spend a good deal of time fiddling with his cars in his home workshop and looking for improvements in performance and cutting the running costs. Author Edgar is just about as reliable as they come when it comes down to explaining how to set about giving your prized possession a new lease of life. He explains; ”I have been mechanically modifying my road cars for about 35 years now, doing it first as an enthusiast and then, as a journalist, writing about those modifications. “I’ve got a home workshop with a lathe, mill, bandsaw, welders and loads of other equipment. And it is my belief that the electronic modification of cars beats mechanical modes hands-down for cheapness, ease of work and results. “ And since I consider fuel economy an aspect of performance, I have taken a look at how you can improve it.. For example fitting a dashboard indicator that will allow you to drive more fuel-efficiently, running lean cruise with programmable engine management.”
So there it is: fortyquids-worth of quality instructive upgrading information. And I shall make the book yours for free if you can answer following:

Sudden Spate of vehicle Theft
As Spring is finally here, I felt the need to remind residents, dog walkers and ramblers not to fall prey to opportunist thieves when parking their cars at local beauty spots. Secluded locations in Mole Valley attract a large number of visitors throughout the year, making the car parks a popular target for thieves who can break into a car and steal valuables within a matter of seconds. Sadly, we have also seen a sudden spate of vehicles being targeted when they have been parked on driveways or in front of the owners’ own homes. In a few cases, these have been keyless car thefts where devices have been used to “read” the information from the keys inside a property and the information being relayed to near the car, “tricking” it into opening. Here are some top tips to avoid becoming a victim of car crime: • Do not leave anything of value in your vehicle. The most commonly stolen items from cars include Sat Navs, laptops, handbags and mobile phones. They are easy to remove quickly, are easily concealed and do not look out of place if a thief is seen walking away from a car.
• Always take handbags and wallets with you. Even if your bag does not contain anything valuable, a thief will not know that, and may still break a window or force a lock to get at it. • Consider leaving the backs seats of your vehicle down, or taking the boot cover off. This way a potential thief will have a clear view that it is empty and will not need to break in to find out. • Make sure doors of your vehicle are locked and the windows and sunroof are shut, no matter how hot the weather, or even if you are only going to be gone for a couple of minutes. • Make sure your car is parked in a location where it is in clear view of other people, not obscured from sight by trees or shrubs, therefore making it vulnerable. • Make sure you do not leave a coat or jacket behind in the car. A thief may think that it is hiding a laptop or handbag and break into your car to find out. If you do have a car with a “keyless” opening mechanism, always store the keys inside a metal container in your home, so that the information cannot be read by electronic means.
