Could you offer a warm reception and Meet & Greet visitors?
A thriving, charitable retirement community, which supports older people of limited means to live as independently as possible, are looking for Resident Support volunteers to greet people, operate the handset for door entry, organise transport & report repairs. Training will be provided. The role is split into two sessions - 9.30 until 12.30 or 12.00 until 3.00pm.
Get active and enjoy the great outdoors in a stunning setting
A picturesque, landscape garden in Cobham, is looking for volunteers to join their Saturday Landscape Group, who meet once a month to undertake tasks such as garden maintenance, painting fences, building steps, clearing fallen trees, watering, planting and scrub bashing. Or perhaps you be interested in becoming a Volunteer Ranger, being a point of contact for visitors, and walk the historic route for around 3 hours, either morning or afternoon. Rangers can also collect litter and report back any issues or problems.
Meals on Wheels Drivers needed in Elmbridge
Volunteers with their own cars are wanted to collect meals from a local centre and deliver to clients on a designated route. The role may include handling money and reporting back to the Centre Manager if you have concerns for clients who appear unwell, confused or absent.
Are you a good listener? Help make a difference to young people
A local charity are looking for Mentors for young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties who would benefit from 1:1 support. If you have an hour or more to spare once a week, are a good listener and want to help change lives, this is an ideal role for you. Training will be provided.
