COME USUFRUIRE DELLO SCONTO DEL 15% NEL CIRCUITO UTILISSIMA ISCHIA Presentandosi con la guida Utilissima Ischia in formato cartaceo o con l’App scaricata sul telefonino presso le strutture che aderiscono all’iniziativa e che sono indicate nella guida Utilissima Ischia e nel sito www.ischiautilissima.it, si ha diritto allo sconto del 15% in ristoranti, negozi, bar e alla riduzione di 3 euro sul biglietto di ingresso ai parchi termali convenzionati per una o più persone che lo richiedano insieme.

Nel sito è possibile trovare gli eventuali aggiornamenti dell’elenco delle strutture aderenti. Within the website, it is possible to check the constantly updated list of participating businesses. To enjoy the discounts, customers must show the printed guide or the downloaded app at the shop, restaurant or spas where they want to buy goods and/or services, at the moment of the check and absolutely before the issuing of financial receipt.

It is possible to benefit from discounts for services and products bought from the same shop without any limitation. RESTAURANTS FOOD AND DRINK L’isola d’Ischia un tempo attingeva soprattutto a quanto si ricavava da orti, vigne e dall’allevamento familiare del maiale e degli animali da cortile per costruire la sua cucina; negli ultimi 50 anni, invece, si è convertita ai piatti di mare, dedicandosi in particolare al pescato locale. Un ruolo a sé lo gioca il coniglio, famoso per la ricetta “all’ischitana”: carni bianche, facili da allevare anche in spazi ristretti, che nella tradizione locale rappresentavano il piatto forte della domenica. In tempi più recenti, si sono affermate con successo, accanto ai ristoranti di pesce, le bracerie e steackhouse, che si distinguono per le proposte creative in tema di carne. Inoltre, pizzerie, trattorie, pub, negozi di enogastronomia molto attenti alla qualità delle loro proposte: il panorama della ristorazione a Ischia, insomma, si presenta variegato e con un’offerta nel complesso qualitativamente elevata.

Ischia’s gastronomical tradition was historically more connected to inland (garden plot, vineyards, and family breed livestock) than sea, but this trend has been reversed during the last 50 years and the local caught fresh fish has slowly become a cornerstone of Ischia’s cuisine. However, rabbit is still one of the undiscussed stars of local gastronomy: cooked “all’Ischitana”, its tender white meat was, and still is, a classic main of Sunday lunch. Recently, steak houses and restaurants specialised in grilled meat and innovative, rare cuts have been opened side by side with seafood restaurants.

Moreover, pizzerias, pubs, traditional taverns and unmissable food and wine shops make of Ischia an extremely assorted gastronomic scenario, both for quality and price.

CONIGLIO ALL’ISCHITANA Cucinato nel tegame di terracotta, con aglio vestito, vino biancolella, pomodorini e spezie, il coniglio all’ischitana è davvero speciale, ottimi i bucatini conditi con la sua salsa.

A Forio la ricetta della pizza di scarola diventa ancora più gustosa: la verdura condita con “vino cotto”, olive, pinoli, uvetta passita viene avvolta in una pasta lievitata e fritta.

SPAGHETTI “ALLA PUTTANESCA” Pare che il famoso intingolo per gli spaghetti “alla puttanesca” (aglio, capperi, olive e pomodori) si debba all’inventiva ai fornelli di uno dei più bravi pittori ischitani, Eduardo Colucci.

FAVE E VENTRESCA In primavera, sono irrinunciabili le fave che crescono abbondanti e ottime negli orti dell’isola d’Ischia e che si accompagnano con un tipico salume, la ventresca, pane casareccio e vino.

LA ZUPPA DI FAGIOLI I fagioli zampognari sono una speciale varietà di questo legume che si coltiva sulle colline di Campagnano, a Ischia: restano sodi anche dopo la cottura e insaporiscono nelle zuppe.

IL BACCALA’ FRITTO Piatto caratteristico della vigilia di Natale (quando per tradizione non si mangia carne) è il gustoso baccalà, che viene fritto in grosse pentole colme d’olio.

IL CORNETTO E’ stato ideato a Ischia il cornetto con doppio impasto a sfoglia, farcito di crema pasticcera e amarena, dal sapore e aspetto golosi e inconfondibili.

I CARCIOFI LESSI Nella località di Piano Liguori, a Ischia, i vigneti si alternano a superbe coltivazioni di carciofi: crescono grandissimi e sono così buoni che vanno mangiati semplicemente lessi.

LA DELIZIA AL LIMONE La delizia al limone è un dolce fresco, perfetto anche con il grande caldo estivo, preparato con pan di spagna, crema profumata agli agrumi, e ricoperto con una glassa a specchio.

LA “ZINGARA” Fast food da leccarsi le dita con la “zingara”, panino inventato da due ragazzi ischitani: pane cotto nel forno a legna, prosciutto crudo, mozzarella, lattuga e pomodoro.

Pizza with escarole has been sublimed in Forio: vegetable seasoned with “vin cotto” (cooked wine), olives, pine nuts and raisins, are wrapped in rising salty pastry and then fried.

SPAGHETTI “ALLA PUTTANESCA” A local legend says that the famous recipe of pasta “alla puttanesca” (garlic, capers, olives and tomatoes) has been invented in Ischia by one of the most famous local painter: Eduardo Colucci.

BROAD BEANS AND VENTRESCA During spring time, tender broad beans are harvested in almost every garden plot in Ischia, traditionally eaten with a traditional salami, “ventresca” (pork belly), home-made bread and wine.

BEANS’ SOUP “Zampognari” bean is a special variety of this legume, traditionally cultivated on Campagnano hillside. They stay solid even after having been boiled, adding a peculiar flavour to soups.

FRIED SALTED COD Characteristic specialty cooked during Christmas Eve (tradition strictly forbids eating meat on that day), salted cod is fried in huge pans filled with olive oil in almost every house on Ischia.

DOUBLE DOUGH CROISSANT Unique and delicious, the double dough croissant filled with custard cream and black cherries, is an invention of a local bar.

BOILED ARTICHOKES In Piano Liguori, vineyards are cultivated side by side with magnificent artichokes’ plantations. Artichokes are so big and tasteful that is a sin to do something else but boiling them.

LEMON DELIGHT The “delizia al limone” (lemon delight) is a refreshing dessert, perfect during summer’s heatwaves. It is prepared with sponge cake, citrus cream and covered with a shining icing.

PANINI “LA ZINGARA” Traditional quick snack, the “zingara” is a sandwich invented by two local boys. It is prepared with bread baked in a wood oven, “prosciutto crudo” (raw ham), mozzarella, lettuce and tomato.

Fra gli antipasti da provare le alici marinate, fra i primi le linguine all’astice o con i ricci. Pasticceria e gelateria sono di produzione artigianale: si va dalle crostate al tipico migliaccio napoletano al cheesecake “Cocò”.

GIARDINI RAVINO I Giardini Ravino, a Forio, costituiscono una delle più grandi collezioni d’Europa di piante grasse: vi crescono 400 specie di cactacee e 200 di cicadacee e palme, alcune molto rare.
