MOCK UPs and WIREFRAMES LEVEL1: ORGANISING MEDICINES These solutions are all coupled with mobile apps. These digital and physical interactions together complete each solution. While user tesing I will be showing paper prototype mobile screens and some interfaces on Processing. I hope to make one complete UI design out of all of them.

I also have developed concepts for all the other levels. My design solution approach to this problem is that no one level of solution can solve the issue of medical non adherence. A combined effort of two or more of these layers will help in tackling the issue.

Cap Sensor: This concept is to ensure that patients swallow their medicines.

The glass of water has a cap which contains the medicines.

The main objective of these concepts is to make sure that elderly patients follow their medication schedule and take the correct medicines on time.

Pill Box Concept:

This is a connected pill box concept. Each Triangle is a pill box with the following functionalities:

Functionalities: 1. Count number of pills: Every time one pill is taken, the box senses it and can thus give the total number of pills left in the box.

Example: Weight of one pill: 10 grams Load Sensor Initial weight of box: 200 grams Therefore total pills: 20 Each pill will reduce the weight by 10grams.

3. Mobile Connectivity: The box must be able to communicate with an android application. (Location alert, alarm alert, tablet count, tap box to get information on medicine inside)

4. Speaker: To make an alarm sound, the box will need to have a speaker/buzzer.

5. Locator: the boxes are separate and a mobile phone should be able to track them.

2. Timer: When it is time to take the medicine the corner should glow.

6. Modular Touch: Edges where the boxes touch need to glow. The glowing edges together need to look like a pattern in itself.

2. Relevant bottle dispense medicines into base below.

The base can be unscrewed foreasy access to meds.

This medicine box contains 8 bottles which can hold 200 pills each.

The user needs to fill each bottle with medicines. Once this bulk on medicines in filled in the bottles, the box syncs with th medicine schedule over internet.

Every time its time for a dose, the user, just has to click on take medicine and the medicines will be dispensed in the base. The base can be unscrewed to access the medicines.

This concept consists of organising pills and experience based solutions.

The pill box consists of bottles for each medicine. Each bottle holds the bulk of the medicines. The schedule needs to be programmed in the bottles using a digital interface such as a mobile phone or a website. This connectivity allows flexibility in medicine dosage and is easier to refill.

The box dispenses medicines from each bottle according to the dose.

These are collected in a container below.

This solution makes it easier for the user to refill and replace medicines. Also changes in the medicine schedule is easy to integrate through mobile connectivity.

According to the adherence level of the users, different parts of the painting light up. One glance by a family member or caregiver at the pattern can tell how well the elderly is adhering to the medicine schedule.
