Friendsgiving This year, being my first time going to friends-giving, it was truly a blast, so much energy, so much laughter and so much joy. It was so fun especially if you bought friends to come along with you. It was basically dinner plus friends plus a ton of fun for only five dollars. There was also variety of food and snack choices to pick from. The food was actually really good. The food choices went from chicken wings to Oreos and cookies to fruit salads and much more. After the food, there was all sorts of games you can play, from monopoly to chess to suspicion and more. There was also a photo booth, where you can take pictures with your friends. I also can't forget how well and pretty the cafeteria was decorated, it was so festive and welcoming. I really had an amazing times there with all my friend. All the profit that was made at Friendsgiving was donated to No Kids Hungry, which made it even better because it was for a good cause. It was honestly a great experience, I'm definitely going to Friendsgiving next year. Friends only made this whole experience so much better. It was hard to capture everything in a paragraph, its best for you to go and see for yourself. I seriously can't wait for next year's Friendsgiving. All the profit that was made at Friendsgiving was donated to No Kids Hungry, which made it even better because it was for a good cause. - Myra Lin, Bayside High School Key Club Member

THOMAS A. EDISON X BAYSIDE ICE SKATING FUNDRAISER

Ice skating is one of my favorite things to do. I love going but all my firends don't like it or don't have time to go and going alone is really borong. This year. after joining Key Club, we had an ice skating event. All my new friends from Key Club went and I got so excited cause I haven't ice skating in a long time. Ice skating was really fun except for the fact that my ankles were hurting like crazy. All my friends didn't really know how to skate so they were all falling and it was really fun. Afterwards, we hung out and it was overall a really fun day. I really loved it and I want to go again! -Chere Hong, Bayside High School Key Club Member

DECORATE THE CASTLE Growing up, my family and I necer had the tradition of setting up the tree for Christmas. For the first time, I felt so excited for Christmas, I thought to myself, this is what Christmas is about. Friends and family gathered around the tree and opening up presents. My first reaction to seeing the final result of the tree was "wow". I was at a complete loss for words. Seeing how beautiful and bright the tree was. it was such a warm moment to see the students helping each other out and ensuring each other's safety when we took turns on the ladder. Christmas songs were playing, filling up the entire room with Christmas spirit. Decorate the Castle was such a fun event, everyone in the room was happy and joyful. I'm glad I was able to participate in this event and I wish we could come back to decorate the castle next year. - Nicole Cao, Baysie High School Key CLub Member

Decorate the Castle event was such a fun and amazing experience to spend with others. We got to hand ornaments on the Christmas tree and decorate the castle to be more festive for the holidays. There were also cute little kids that came to help hang some ornaments too. Overall, it was a jolly experience to have with everyone there! - Tracy Xu, Bayside High School Key Club Member

BID HOLIDAY PARADE SETUP

OUR CREATIVITY WAS PUT ONTO DISPLAY AT THE BID EVENT. WE MADE REINDEER-STYLE CANDY CANES, PUT LABELS ON CANDLES, AND CUT OUT SNOWMEN AND REINDEER FOR LOLLIPOPS. IT WAS REALLY FUN AS IT WAS A SMALL EVENT AND WE HAD MUSIC PLAYING. EVERYONE WAS ABLE TO INTERCONNECT AND CHAT WITH ONE ANOTHER. I REALLY ENJOYED MY EXPERIENCE THERE AS KEY CLUB IS A GREAT PLACE TO INTERACT WITH PEOPLE AND MAKE NEW FRIENDS - ZIYI FENG, BAYSIDE HIGH SCHOOL KEY CLUB MEMBER
