Connecting and associating with new people from all walks of life has given a chance for journalist Phonesavanh to broaden his experiences and knowledge. Phonesavanh is a visual reporter engaged in multimedia through photo and video journalism. He has travelled to many countries around the world, both in Asia and Europe, to report from these places. He strongly believes media plays a significant role in reflecting societal issues and gives a light to those who do not have it.
Ashley is an Australian volunteer living in Vientiane. Her interest in trying to make ‘better’ consumer choices led her to seek out good options around the capital, and across the country, and to set up the Ethical Consumer Laos Facebook page as a place for others to share information and tips: www.facebook.com/ethicalconsumerlaos.
Michelle Luehman Michelle has spent the last 20 years living and working around the world, and most of that time has been spent around Asia. An avid observer of people and places, she has written extensively about life in Asia, both as a visitor and a resident. She has worked for lifestyle and travel magazines around the globe capturing the essence and flavour of life in each different locality.

With a background in science and communications, Emma's writing and photography has appeared in several environmental publications including Australian Geographic. Now living in Vientiane, she is capturing her new surrounds through travel and photography - in this issue of Sabaidee Magazine she tours the capital to uncover its delights by tuk tuk.
Kate Antonas Australian-born journalist turned art gallery manager and creative programmer, Kate relocated to Laos last year. Now living in Vientiane she has fallen for Laos’ exquisite traditional art, laid back lifestyle, street food and beer with ice. Always on the lookout for the cool and interesting she is attempting to uncover the best local eats, drinks and hidden gems.
