With Cat. 6A EL from R&M, installers pave a reliable way to the future and 10 Gigabit Ethernet for their customers. The letters EL stand for “easy lock.”

The procedures for wiring and installing the RJ45 module are as easy as can be to learn and surprisingly quick to carry out. Cat. 6A EL comes into play in situations where simple, quick installation is desired and the permanent link has to deliver solid performance conforming with standards.

A RELIABLE SOLUTION The Cat. 6A EL module from R&M combines easy handling and Swiss quality standards with unbeatable value for the money. The module consists of two parts and can be wired error-free with absolute ease.

The Cat. 6A EL features a newly developed compensation function for optimized signal transmission. In combination with components from the R&Mfreenet cabling system, this product fully satisfies the specifications and performance requirements for the Class EA channel as stipulated in ISO/ IEC 11801. The high level of product quality ensures certification in accordance with the component specifications of IEC 60603-741 and IEC 60603-7-51.

In production, all products are fully tested for return loss (RL), near end crosstalk (NEXT) and dielectric strength as well as to determine whether they are short-circuitproof. Installers and users alike can rest assured that they are always using a module that meets the specifications 100%.

A COMPATIBLE SOLUTION Cat. 6A EL saves money in purchasing, time in installation and effort in warehousing. Installers just have to have one module in stock. It is suitable for many applications and supports shielded as well as unshielded cabling. It terminates all installation cables

with wire and flexible cables with strands of all common diameters according to the system in TIA 568A or TIA 568B. Cat. 6A EL is compatible with the modular R&Mfreenet cabling system, R&M security systems and the R&MinteliPhy infrastructure management system. It is robust in connection with other makes of connectors.

And finally, Cat. 6A EL can be combined with non-R&M ranges of mounting frames, sockets and switches.

Easy to connect It is so easy to wire Cat. 6A modules: Insert wires, slide wire guide into socket, press wiring cover shut and close clamping ring. The termination is complete. That explains the name of this innovation: Cat. 6A Easy Lock.

Universal solution for structured cabling The new generation of structured cabling in offices and buildings must meet much tougher requirements than all previous installations. In the future, 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10 GbE) is the technology people will want to use on all floors. The local data and communication networks must fully support the trend toward omnipresent use of the Internet (All Over IP).

No tools needed Termination without special tools or specialized knowledge. Any adept installer can wire these modules with ease. This feature, too, contributes to reliability. And finally, Cat. 6A EL can be rewired if need be.

The adapters for previous Cat. 6A modules also fit Cat. 6A EL. In addition, Cat. 6A EL can be used troublefree in socket combinations from other manufacturers with the help of adapters.

Short and sweet Cat. 6A EL is an ultra-short module with superb installation characteristics; shielded with die-cast housing, unshielded with a special ANEXT supressive plastic housing. This product satisfies the stringent requirements of the IEC standards for Cat. 6A and Class EA.

At the tertiary level of structured cabling, people will continue to rely on twisted-pair copper cabling in the future wherever possible. The reliable RJ45 plug face is also the preferred choice as the universal connection solution in offices, buildings, industry and residential cabling.
