Norma is the high priestess of the Druids and daughter of their leader Oroveso. But she is also in love with Pollione, proconsul of their Roman oppressors, and secretly has had two children with him. Matters get even more complicated when another priestess, Adalgisa, innocently confesses to Norma that she has fallen love with Pollione, who in turns wants to take Adalgisa back to Rome with him. A magical multi-media tale of a life saved by music for 7+ and their adults. This is based on a true story. Tommy’s mum had told him to wait for her at the bus stop and never showed up again. And then, one day, he runs away – to the seaside, where he finds Destino, a talking cello with a mission.

Making Memories
A partnership project and exhibition with First Steps and James Aldridge Saturday 5 August Saturday 16 September
Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 3pm (subject to closure during performances)
Animal Fantasies
Children from First Steps have been exploring art and nature with Salisbury Secret Garden and Wiltshire based artist James Aldridge.
Animals and birds have played a vital role in human existence and have been interpreted in clay throughout history. In this exhibition, ceramic artists respond to an interest in figurative form. The exhibition explores cultural messages and images, from Noah’s Ark to Welsh myths.
The children have been responding creatively to visiting the garden, planting seeds and exploring creatures and the exhibition will focus on the relationship between the outdoors and childhood memory, including work made by the children themselves, and by James in response.
This exhibition is a touring display with handling collection from the Ceramic Collection and Archive, University of Wales Aberystwyth arranged with support from the Council of Museums in Wales.
Making Memories is about young children being given vital opportunities to use their hands, bodies, imaginations and intellect to investigate, enjoy and learn from the outdoors.
