J.M. Barrie’s book Peter Pan and the original Disney lm have been loved by families for many, many years. Now there’s a brand new live-action lm that tells the super story in a new way. It’s called Peter Pan and Wendy and it’s going to be available on Disney Plus very soon.
Wendy Darling is a young girl afraid to leave her childhood home behind. She just wants things to stay the way they are. Then she meets Peter Pan, who is a boy who refuses to grow up. Meeting Peter, and his tiny fairy friend, Tinker Bell, begins a magical journey for Wendy as she travels with her brothers, Michael and John, to Never Land. In Never Land there are no rules, no schools, no bedtimes and most of all, no growing up!
While in this magical world Wendy meets the incredible Tiger Lily and sees magni cent mermaids. She also encounters Peter’s friends the Lost Boys as well as evil pirates, Captain Hook and his gruesome crew. It’s a thrilling and dangerous adventure that will change Wendy’s life forever!
‘Peter Pan and Wendy’ is available on Disney Plus from 28 April. The film is rated PG, which stands for parental guidance. Parents or carers can read more about this rating at bbfc.co.uk before deciding if it’s suitable for their family.
This week, I’m helping at a Salvation Army children’s camp. I don’t mind telling you, I feel very old. But it’s cool seeing the kids worshipping and learning about God in fun ways. They’re even letting me join in the fun.
Mark 10:13–16 describes a time when people took their children to see Jesus. This made his followers cross and they told the kids to go away. But Jesus said to let the children come to him. Then he said something amazing! Jesus said that God’s Kingdom belongs to children and that grown-ups should be more like children – they should try to understand and accept God’s love like kids do.
You see, grown-ups sometimes make stuff really complicated. However, loving Jesus and following him is really pretty simple. You just choose to follow him and do your best to live your best life with him. Go on, join the fun of following Jesus!

Thank You, Jesus!

Irecently watched Matilda the Musical with my daughter. We’ve loved listening to the songs for ages, but this is the rst time we’d watched the lm. When Miss Honey sang ‘My House’ it really made me think. If you haven’t seen it or listened to it, it’s all about how Miss Honey feels her house isn’t the biggest or best, but it’s enough for her. It provides a happy place for her to keep safe, warm and dry and read, write and dream. Despite the dif cult parts of her life, Miss Honey is so thankful for what she has.
This got me thinking about Jesus’ love. Some people aren’t happy with what Jesus offers because they don’t think it’s grand enough. Maybe he doesn’t make their lives perfect enough. Lots of people seem to
spend a lot of time wishing for a bigger or better house, car, toy or holiday. But Jesus’ love for us is something much simpler and more special than any of that.
As the disciples sit on the beach with Jesus in this week’s Bible cartoon they’re so happy and full of love for Jesus. They’re so grateful for the breakfast he’s made them and for the love he’s shown them. They’re not wishing for something bigger or better and that’s how we should feel about Jesus’ love too.
It’s really important to remember to thank Jesus for the good things in our lives. I know I’m thankful for my lovely family, having enough money to buy food, living somewhere I feel safe and the fact that Jesus loves me. What are you thankful for?

In the Bible there are incredible stories of young people choosing to trust God. In return, God used them to do extraordinary things. As you read about these young people, be inspired because Jesus is calling you to make a difference too.
The Boy with Bread and Fish
What Happened?
Jesus had been healing and teaching a large crowd (more than 5,000 people). It was late and there was no food. However, a young boy came forward with his lunch – ve loaves of bread and two pieces of sh. Jesus blessed it, shared it and everyone ate until they were full. There were even 12 full baskets of leftovers!
What Can We Learn?
John 6:1–13
The boy’s faith was simple. He knew his lunch wasn’t enough for everyone, but he didn’t let that stop him from sharing what he had. Jesus saw his kindness and generosity and used them to perform a miracle.
Thoughts for You
Are you good at sharing? Jesus loves it when we use our skills, talents and resources to help people and share God’s love. Read Matthew 25:31–40 and let it inspire you to be a blessing to others.

IT’S EARTH DAY AND I’M READY TO PLANT SOME TREES TO DO MY BIT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. See if you can spot this version of me on ANOTHER PAGE IN THIS WEEK’S ISSUE.
The cosmos or universe is so enormous and stupendous it’s mind-boggling! Here are some facts about space that are … well, cosmic!
Uranus
Uranus is a cold giant made of icy owing materials around a solid core. The planet’s atmosphere includes methane, which gives Uranus its beautiful blue colour. The Voyager 2 spacecraft was launched from Earth to take photographs of Uranus in August 1977. It reached the planet almost nine and a half years later!
British astronomer William Herschel discovered Uranus in 1781. He saw it while looking at stars in the night sky using a telescope that he’d built himself. Herschel also discovered two of its moons, Titania and Oberon. Uranus has ve large moons and 22 much smaller moons. One of the large moons, Miranda, has huge canyons as deep as 19 kilometres.

Earth Day
Earth Day takes place every year on 22 April. It’s an opportunity for people around the globe to come together and celebrate our wonderful world. It’s also a chance to raise awareness about how important it is that we look after it.
A Little Bit of History
rst ever Earth Day took place in 1970. On that day 20 million people took to the streets to protest about big environmental issues, such as oil spills, polluted rivers and air pollution. All these years later, people are still ghting for our world.
Invest in our Planet
The theme for this year’s events is Invest in our Planet. Businesses, governments and people just like you are being encouraged to work together and take responsibility for our Earth to help make it better.
Exciting Events
There will be lots of events taking place on Earth Day. Here are some we thought looked cool.
Wolverhampton Art Gallery are opening an exhibition on 22 April. It’s a young people’s art exhibition about their visions for the future. There will also be interactive performances and crafts.
On 22 April the Barbican Cinema is showing Our Blue Planet for their Family Film Club. Discover the wonders of the deep in a family-friendly documentary.
Surfers Against Sewage in Brighton are holding a beach clean at 10am on 22 April. Volunteers are meeting at the Peace Statue and celebrating their beautiful beach by litter picking and protecting the marine wildlife.
Newly reopened Manchester Museum has an Earth Day Big Weekender taking place on 22 and 23 April. There are plenty of activities to help kids learn about the Earth, the climate and hopes for the future.
There will be plenty more events happening across the UK and Ireland, so ask your parents or carers to check online for ones near you.
a healthy and an active lifestyle and caring for your physical, mental and spiritual well-being.

Action Time
As well as learning about and appreciating our world there are lots of ways you can do your bit to protect it for future generations. Here are some ideas – remember to carry them on after Earth Day too!
Plastic Pollution
Plastic pollution is one of Earth’s biggest environmental problems. So much of our plastic waste ends up in places it shouldn’t be, such as rivers or seas. This causes damage to wildlife as well as making our beautiful spaces look, well, rubbish!
Your family can do their bit to ght this by: taking reusable bags when you go shopping; using reusable water bottles; not using single-use plastics, such as straws; getting milk delivered in glass bottles and avoiding buying food that comes in lots of plastic packaging.
Plant Trees
Planting trees is another great way to care for the environment. If you have a garden, ask your parents or carers if you have space for one. If not, see if there’s a tree-planting project happening near you that you can get involved with.
Check out woodlandtrust.org.uk/plant-trees/schools-and-communities to learn more about the Woodland Trust’s scheme to provide schools and communities with trees.
Keep Things Tidy
Whether you live in the city, by the beach, in the countryside or somewhere else, all these places need to be kept tidy –just like your bedrooms! If you notice your local park is looking a bit messy, why not talk to a grown-up about organising a clean-up? The same goes for your favourite beach, local high street, country park or school playground.
