Web Presence -
Web presence is an important tool for many independent magazines. The World Wide Web has helped promote some independent magazines to a global audience. The web design here has been designed to be clean, simple and easy to use. The general aesthetic links with the printed media in order to create brand consistency. It is also important that the website doesn’t expose too much of the content of the magazine, but offers bonus content such as videos. There is also a direct link from the web page to the pre-order section.

Kick starter campaign video -
One of the first pieces of promotional material that the audience will see is the campaign video on kickstarter. The success of the magazine relies on the funding of a kick starter campaign as well as creating a loyal group of backers that may, in turn, become the readership. The first frame opens with the title of the magazine and sets the vibe for the theme of the magazine. Rhetorical questions have been used to draw the audience in to the video and grab their attention. The video also provides the audience with teaser snips of the final magazine to create anticipation. The final frame provides the viewer with external links to various social media sites in order to create a buzz and promote the video on multi platforms.
