ROBSON AFTER CARE K-5th This is an afterschool program where your kids will meet new friends, have fun, engage in well rounded activities, and most of all be in a safe environment. We also focus on cultivating a sense of community between our kids and staff everyday! HOW WE WORK: Robson After Care (RAC) operates out of the Robson-Harrington House located at 237 Crescent Road. Participants from Wade Thomas Elementary School are picked up on campus by our staff and walked up to the house. Participants from all other schools are welcome, but must be dropped off at Robson. We are open until 6:00pm daily and follow the Ross Valley School District calendar. RAC staff will offer extended care for Kindergarten early-release or super minimum days. WHAT WE DO: Having nearly three acres of Robson-Harrington property at our disposal, we like to stay outdoors whenever weather permits. Playing kickball, tag, and imagination games are just some of the activities our kids love - but art projects and books are always on hand for those looking for more quiet activities. FEES & REGISTRATION: Please email robsonaftercare@townofsananselmo.org to inquire about availability and request a registration packet. CHILDREN FOR CHANGE: INSPIRING COMMUNITY LEADERS Ages 8-13

Instructor: Eric Brandt Join like-minded young people who are passionate about big issues and inspired to make a change in the world! This enrichment program will energize students to see themselves as changemakers and take action that makes a real difference. Participants will play interactive games, meet with field experts (elected officials, non-profit leaders, scientists, filmmakers, and more), and participate in powerful simulations as they learn about global issues and encourage action in their own community.

The program incorporates all the great elements of Children for Change, a service-learning club that grew up in the Ross Valley School District. Children for Change students learn about an issue (such as climate change, social justice, homelessness or the environment) in a fun and engaging way and then inspire others to create change in their community through advocacy, youth philanthropy and service work. In addition to the after-school class, participants’ families will have access to join in a Change for Good Weekend - a weekend full of service opportunities geared towards young families. Added bonus - a Children for Change t-shirt for each participant! Read more about Children for Change’s work on their website. No class 10/11. Location: Isabel Cook Community Center, Vista Room Mon

SOCCER KIDS

CROSS COUNTRY

Instructor: Coach Adam

We are pleased to bring back Fall Cross Country for another incredible season. Fall Cross Country is a great program for young runners and teaches kids the basics of this fun sport. Practices will prepare kids to run 1 mile and will include running games, stretching and light strengthening. The season is approximately 6 weeks long with 1 to 2 practices per week depending on the program and organized Cross Country races against other teams. Races for this age group are approximately 1 mile and take place on various terrains. This is open to all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade children at participating schools. Children should bring water and wear appropriate shoes and clothing. Brookside families register with the Hidden Valley team.

SoccerKids youth soccer is thrilled to offer soccer for boys and girls ages 2.5 - 8 in San Anselmo. Join us for non-competitive, age-appropriate play that uses make-believe and imagination to learn the world’s most popular sport. During a SoccerKids class, children get a chance to learn in an environment where having fun, trying your best and good sportsmanship is much more important than winning. The final score of a SoccerKids game is always fun to fun! Class size is limited to 16 kids. Parent participation required for ages 2.5 – 3.5. San Anselmo Recreation does not take registrations for this class. Please visit SoccerKids online at www.soccerkids.com to register and get more information. Fall season begins early September, and registration begins July 1st. Many classes fill to capacity fast, so registering early is recommended!

JUNIOR TENNIS Ages: 5-11

Instructor: Tennis in Marin

San Anselmo Recreation offers Junior Tennis for kids between the ages of 5-11. Tennis in Marin professional coaches in conjunction with the USTA have now been using a system where different colored balls are used at corresponding age levels to allow more of a natural progression toward learning the sport of tennis. These new changes have allowed kids to rally and play real tennis points at an early age. When kids are successful, they are having fun, and when they are having fun, they are usually successful. It works both ways.
