DRAMA & THEATER WITH SIXTH STREET PLAYHOUSE
Join 6th Street’s Technical Director, Martin Gilberston and Assistant Technical Director, Luca Catanzaro to understand the methods, materials, and techniques of realizing a physical production on the stage, including scenery, properties, lighting, and sound. This class gives practical hands-on experience in stagecraft and culminates in the creation of the sets and props for 6th Street’s Summer Camp performance of Madagascar Jr.

In this class, teens work in-depth work on scenes, monologues, and improv techniques with a duo of working professionals as their teachers. The class culminates in an optional showcase where students from all 6th Street’s skill based classes will have a chance to take the stage and shine!

With a flexible cast size and lots of room for large disco dance numbers, Xanadu JR keeps students and audiences rolling along (no skates required!).
