Showgoers brave the heat in Boorowa Boorowa Show Society Secretary Narelle Nixon has applauded the people of Boorowa for braving the heat and turning up to their local show. The mercury soared last Friday and Saturday, the days the Show ran across, with a high of 37 degrees recorded on the Saturday. While Ms Nixon conceded horticultural entries were down on last year, as well as the number of people walking through the gates,

2016

she said it was still a Show that offered a great day out. “Our gate takings appeared to be down on ODVW \HDU EXW ZH KDYHQ¡W GRQH DQ H[DFW FRXQW yet, so I think it will only prove a minor drop anyway,â€? she said. “We get over 300 dog entries to our Show, where as some large city centres only get 200 or 250, so we have one of the largest country Show events for championship dogs.â€? “Our horses were very well thought of, and the sheep and wool sections were well patronised as well.â€? /RFDO 0XUUD\ 'LPPLFN KDG D JUHDW WLPH DW WKH 6KRZ ZLQQLQJ WKH 'U\ODQG $6& &URS Competition, and also had entries in the catWOH DQG Âś)ORFN <RX¡ VKHHS FRPSHWLWLRQ +H PDGH WKH WRS Ă€YH LQ HDFK RI WKHVH FRPSOHWing a good all round Show performance. ´+H MXVW GLG UHDOO\ ZHOO LQ DOO WKUHH FRPSHWLWLRQV DQG , WKLQN KLV HIIRUWV DUH GHĂ€QLWHO\ worth a mention,â€?
