Crealde's most popular pick! This two-week session features full days of classes in painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics and sculpture. Every day includes a class in each medium. Ceramics: Create clay works of art using slab, coil and pinching methods. Finish the pieces by decorating the surfaces with glaze and firing them in our kiln to make them last forever. Painting & Drawing: Experiment with a variety of drawing and painting materials to learn the essentials including line, color, texture, shape, composition and perspective. Printmaking: Prints are works of art produced in multiple impressions, each one an original. Explore printmaking techniques, including some that use Crealde's printmaking press. Photography: Use Crealde's 35mm cameras and handmade art cameras to compose a photograph, process film, print images and more, using the school's professional darkroom. Sculpture: Use recycled objects, wood, Styrofoam and more to develop new skills and explore new ways to construct three-dimensional art. Mystery Medium: We're adding something special this year to broaden artistic horizons.
