I will pray and not worry
Isaiah 41:13 (ESV)
Jacob had to flee for his life, and on top of that, he was cheated by his own family. (Gen. 30:25-43) Jacob could have been swallowed by fear and bitterness and died in silence somewhere unknown. But Jacob trusted God, and God helped him and kept him safe. Jacob prospered, had a big family, and became rich. God even chose him as the founding father of the 12 tribes of Israel—a huge privilege. Much later in history, when God spoke directly to Moses, He referred to Himself as “the God of Jacob.” Imagine that, hundreds of years after you died, God Himself talked about you like that.
“I am the God of __________ .” (insert your name). WOW. Now, fear not. God keeps you safe and helps you, too. He wants you to grow in confidence by trusting Him more and more.
Dear child, what is it that you are afraid of? Tell me all about it.
