The greatest gift I have ever received

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

God is good and loves you. He asks you to trust Him, because He has great plans for you. He wants your life to have purpose and impact. He wants you to follow Jesus, and He gives you the Holy Spirit to guide you. This is all greater than great. Yet the greatest gift of all is the one God gave you when He sent His one and only Son to die so that you could live with Him in eternity. Because God is holy and you are not, you would not be able to be with Him when you died. And since all good comes from God, there is no good apart from Him. We call the place apart from God where there is no good “hell.” But Jesus took every wrong thing you’ve ever done and paid for them. The price was no less than His life. When Jesus died for you, your future went from grim, dark hell to bright, shining heaven. Thanks to Jesus and what He did for you, God sees you as holy and your future in heaven is secure.
