Isaiah 43:1 (GNT)

In Genesis 33:1-17 we read that Jacob had cheated his brother Esau and was afraid to meet him again. Jacob did not know if Esau wanted to kill him. But Jacob knew that he could not undo what he had done or make it right. He could only hope for mercy. The same way, we might be afraid to meet God because of the wrong things we have done. We might be afraid our destiny is to be punished. But because of Jesus we have no reason to fear an encounter with God. Jesus has already paid for our lives with His own.

Fear not, God has already ransomed you. He paid the price. He is with you.
