Director’s Note
MARCH | APRIL 2016
I want to take this opportunity to officially introduce a groundbreaking, new, Library initiative, Ask Alison! This District-wide promotion is designed to highlight our Library’s Consumer Health resources in a unique way. Wellness is something that applies to all of our customers, and we want to make sure everyone is aware of the free resources available through the Library.
BRANCH LOCATIONS & PHONE NUMBERS L BOONE’S TRAIL BRANCH
#10 Fiddlecreek Plaza; New Melle - (636) 398-6200
Ask Alison is supported by community wellness experts who provide authoritative information for discussion topics, and answer your questions. The Ask Alison blog provides a digital space where you can keep returning to find quick and reliable information on a variety of wellness topics, and can ask your own questions. This outlet is a non-traditional way for the Library District to form a relationship with people who have never been inside our four walls. We are positioning ourselves as thought leaders in the community, and reaching out to serve you where you are.

Ask Alison fits perfectly with two of the District’s strategic goals; to provide intuitive technology and digital resources at the point of need, and to show our customers how Library services can enrich their lives. With Ask Alison we are breaking library stereotypes and recognizing the importance of sharing our great services beyond our walls. This initiative has only just begun, and will continue to evolve and grow. I would like to give special thanks to BJC Healthcare, YMCA St. Charles County and Dierbergs Markets for supporting this tremendous resource for our community. I invite you to visit the Ask Alison digital space at youranswerplace.org/AskAlison to submit your wellness question and discover helpful resources, and to look for displays in our Branches.
