Thesis Statement Architecture has kept focusing on physical world for the past hundreds of years. Though the technologies are still not fully developed, computer science and the Internet has caused a stir, and the digital world has badly impacted the real world. What do technologies bring to architecture? Based on the developing technologies, we can mix art with architecture into a total virtual space, realizing Utopia and Dystopia at the same time. The relationship among human beings has been drastically changed. Community has been redifined and become a complete new notion. Architects become popular and valuable again.

If Architecture become no more serious, what new aspects of meanings can it have? How can architecture exist as no longer only a background of the digital world? Keep it central, keep it dreamy. I aim to create a new series digital architectural assets as a new brand, along with new technologies, making it free to circulate and appeal to conversation. It will be developed on the metaverse platform, following the logic of block chain and living on the Internet.

Week 01 I watched the Graduate Thesis 2021 and the Gerhy Prize rewarded project caught my attention. The idea is called "Superpositioning", which is coming from Quantum Mechanics, describing a marvellous overlapped status. Under this concept, architecture has not been the one you see through eyes any more and been given extra meanings. The project combines AR (Augmented Reality) technology with traditional architecture design, largely riches the experience of observing this buiding. What more important is, this will help renew a dying architecture. Even it is destroyed or dumped, people can awake it's 'life' by adding new outlooks with almost zero consumption. This could be meaningful for most ancient culture survey and bring us a entirely new percieving.
Then I did a research about an on-going commercial program related to the rising notion named 'Metaverse'. This is a virtual market people can conduct several social activities with tons of strangers just like in the real world.

Week 02 & 03 These two weeks I cleared up the main technologies using in the new areas. Here are some of the important design methods: AI (basically equal to Machine learning)
AR (Augmented Reality)
Neural Networks (GAN GNN CNN)
VR (Virtual Reality) XR (Extended Reality)

Week 04 PROVOCATION WORKSHOP - Talk to machine This week I used VQ GAN to generate both texts and images with a simple text. Here are the results. 'Architecture is a hazardous mixture of omnipotence and impotence. Ostensibly involved in “shaping” the world, for their thoughts to be mobilized architects depend on the provocations of others – clients, individual or institutional.' to 'At best, they know this, yet few have the courage or power to resist, much less challenge, the prevailing order. This is a system which produces no visionary leaders. Instead, it selects those of their own mould, from the most gifted, the most disciplined, the most driven, the most able. This is how the world remains, a dull, predictable, and dulled society. There should be no doubt about its importance. Architecture is not an isolated or peripheral activity for architecture students or those interested in architecture. It is our life; it is our livelihood. It is the foundation of our individual and collective futures. It stands between us and the world we want. All that can be done about it is to defend it. In the battle with the modern order, we are on the side of the architects.<|endoftext|>Halloween costumes are nothing new. From witches and Frankenstein to
pirates and ghosts, there are hundreds of variations of every costume design you can imagine. The latest and most popular trend is a character based look in which everyone's familiar with. That is the trend for costumes based on the new hit movie, Halloween. I had a lot of fun in designing these costumes and I hope the photos inspire you! What you need: 5 yards of light to medium weight cotton, cut into 6 x 3 1/2 inch squares. How to make: 1. First, cut out and print your pattern out to see how the fabric is arranged. You can also do this on an actual paper pattern and check how the fabric is arranged on the pattern page. You'll use these images to cut out your squares. 2) Turn inside the pattern square and take a corner (or two corner) of your pattern square and fold each corner until it almost touches the opposite side. 3) Fold the left side of this edge under, and then fold the right side over and underneath it. This gives you a pocket. 4) Mark the corners of your fabric with a line. 5) Fold both edges of the pocket over. (This is what becomes the pocket.) 6) Line up the edge of the pocket with the line on your fabric. Then press your fabric square open. 7) Place an edgeband around the outside of your fabric. You can tape this or don't tape, but I find it helps. 8) Sew a small knot in the corner of the fabric that is closest to the corner you'

Week 07 I started to focus on the logic and rules in the NFT world. I did research about the the development of NFT.
Mentally
The key to make it valuable is to use "Repetitive Subject" and "Random Variate". Andy Warhol, "You know the president drinks Coca-Cola, Elizabeth Taylor drinks Coca-Cola, and you think about it, you can drink Coca-Cola too. Coke is coke, and no amount of money can buy you a better coke than that bum on the corner has. All cokes are the same. Elizabeth Taylor knows it, presidents know it, hobos know it, you know it." "If everyone in this era, rich and poor, is
drinking Coke, eating McDonald's, using iphones and tapping Tiktok, just like the cans standing side by side in the painting, then what makes you different and let you enjoy the spotlight, even for 15 minutes?" Even though we're legally equal, there's a variable in me that's scarcer than yours, and I create an artificial inequality. Although human artistic creation originally contains the factor of "repetition", most of them are "theme repetition". For example, medieval artists, many of whom painted Jesus and the Virgin. But Andy Warhol's repetition is a very straightforward "image repetition." This is the kind of repetition that only a machine can produce.

Week 08 Bored Apes To put it simply, when a person buys the NFT of the Bored Ape, he or she is not only buying a piece of work, he or she is also getting a ticket to a vibrant club and the full commercial rights to his or her monkey's IP. "Yuga Labs LLC grants you an unlimited worldwide license to use, reproduce and display the artwork you purchase, as well as to create derivative works based on the artwork (' for commercial use ')." This means that when a person buys a work, they can use the image on the NFT for use in any commercial scenario, and can do external licensing, secondary creation, etc. Although each monkey image is unique, everyone is in the same com-
munity, sharing a large underlying IP. The consumer is no longer the consumer, but the participant, the owner. For most cultural brands, Supreme, Marvel, pop music, the free flow of intellectual property is not allowed. The boring apes, by contrast, see their openness as an asset. Anything people create with apes will make the brand grow. Till now, I make sure my aim is to create a series productions based on virtual avatars and digital spatial design.

Week 09 I did research on the existing architectural experiments based on Web 3.0 and the digital character assets design. I explored potential activity directions which could combine spatial design and avatar design. 1. A popular game among teenagers named "Murder mystery game" needs multiple themes and styles and also requires sense of immersive. 2. Make it more like physical production and digital assets to connect the real life and virtual world, enhancing the experience of possessing the collection. Also people could trade with each other in this way

Week 11 To build my own brand, I seperate my project into three phases: 1. Character design 2. Scene design 3. Application/Production design Logic of the metaverse is based on the demand of values, and the cultural supply is born, and profits are made through the interaction of assets and the overlay of scenes. According to the logic of Web 3.0 and NFT market, my project would be developing from a basic template, using methods of prefabricated construction to realize cultural diversity and convenience of switching among different topics.

Week 11 How to bring attention and stream to the brand? Build rapport and consensus. For my project, I hope to build an aesthetic tacit understanding, and assign more meanings and comprehensions onto it. This is an experiment I did through GAN , which combines Chinese traditional culture.
