As summer approaches, we start to see things change here in the desert. The trees start to bloom and the temperature starts to get hotter. With this change we’ll be launching a new menu on May 9, so please stop in and try some of our new offerings for this season. We hope you will enjoy the new dishes as well as the new drinks. Join us on Mother’s Day, 8 AM - 5 PM, for a limited menu of churro French toast with a choice of side, $12; chicken roulade (chicken stuffed with asparagus) with a white wine caper sauce, served with roasted vegetables and roasted potatoes, $16; or prime rib with baked potatoes and vegetables, $20; and strawberry cheesecake for dessert. Hope you all have a safe spring and summer season.

At 7:45 AM, most of us have not even gotten our eyes open yet. But, there is a group of Sunrisers Exercise Club members who cannot wait to get moving.

With their regular classes canceled due to Covid, this group continued to meet on Sunrisers Exercise Club the Kiva Patio lead by YouTube videos on an iPad. With the commencement of the Activity Center construction, the group began meeting in Studio 1 and 2 of the Fitness Center but found the TVs were old and not compatible with streaming.

Following a request to your Sun City Vistoso Foundation, a grant was made for the purchase of a new TV so that all of the participants could see and follow the videos.

If you need to get your blood flowing on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings (and at our age, don’t we all?), join this active group. You will feel better and your day will be terrific.
