Dancing to the music of Clear Country band

We had a wonderful dance at the Hilton–Last Territory on April 14 with over 70 in attendance. We all had a good time listening and dancing to the music of Clear Country band. We have our final dance of the season scheduled for Friday, May 13, with the band Unwound. The dance will be from 6-9 PM. As before, it will be BYO drinks/snacks.

Aquatone is a toning water workout that incorporates a variety of rhythmic body movements performed in the water. This aquatic exercise class enhances cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance.

We meet at the AFC pool. There is no fee to join the club or the class. The teachers are club member volunteers. Participants should be able to do a basic swim stroke. Items used in the class are buoys, boards, noodles, balls and a fitness band. Most items are available at the pool. We assign an exSun City Oro Valley Tipster, May 2022

When the air temperature is 77 degrees or higher, our club performs gentle water exercises designed by the Arthritis Foundation to help with range of motion. These are great for those with arthritis, fibromyalgia, replaced joints, etc.

If you are a paid member and unable to join us, you may contact the officers for modified copies of our exercises to be done safely at home.

Energetic Exercise offers a vigorous and beneficial aerobic, strength and balance workout. Professional instructor, Sally Martinez, leads a variety of one-hour sessions set to a background of lively classic pop tunes. Exercisers are encouraged to move at their own pace and fitness levels. SCOV residents can join the club for the amazing rate of $3 per year, and then purchase a 12-class punch card for $30. Reservations for classes are made through Sign-Up Genius, so exercisers can know in advance when space is available within the current attendance limits. Dress is exercise casual with sport shoes required. Energetic Exercise is fun, social and energetic. We hope you will join us.

The Fitness Swim Club allows swimmers to participate in a group swim workout. We generally swim 2,400 to 3,000 yards per workout, mostly freestyle. Some do more, a few less.

Workouts are suitable for master swimmers, triathletes and those who would just like to participate in swim workouts. Please ensure you have medical clearance to participate in vigorous physical activity prior to joining. We welcome new members.
