Keeping our drinking water safe is a priority for all of us, and keeping medications out of the ground water is a big part of that. The Foundation is pleased to partner with the Oro Valley Police Department to properly dispose of old or unused medications. The medications you have turned in are placed in boxes, Oro Valley Police Department staff sealed and incinerated. At no time does anyone have any access to your medications. Thank you to all who participated in the April Dispose-A-Med event. This event will be held several times a year in SCOV, so keep your medications in a safe place and watch the Tipster and “This Week in SCOV” for the next Dispose-A -Med event. And the next time you see a police officer, thank them for this service.
