proved and more consistent. With extra time available, sand traps and desert edges can receive more attention to improve their conditions.

The driving range tee and most of the tee boxes will be overseeded, so divots can be repaired throughout the winter.

September is a great time to practice your short game. According to GolfInfoGuide.com Nick Faldo has three putting tips for seniors: 1. Keep the eyes directly over the ball. This allows for the putter to swing in a straight line backwards and forwards. 2. Maintain head position through the putting stroke. This provides the stability needed to perform consistent and reliable action. 3. Make the hands passive during the stroke. If the wrists are used, a flicking action occurs and club face control is lost. Remember to have fun while playing and join us every Wednesday.

Greetings. By now, most of you have read that The Views will not overseed this year. That said, we can continue to play with a somewhat modified schedule. League play will continue with no interruption through September with the new official start of the league seasonal play on October 7. So those of you with a set of clubs gathering dust in your garage or being used as a towel rack on the back of your cart, go to The Views website and join the league. It is simple. Be sure to sign up for the hole-in-one insurance. You never know. The short game practice area is open and the course is in great shape. Make the move and join us on Thursday mornings.

The first known rules of golf were written in 1744 in Edinburgh, Scotland. The reasons for rule changes have included the evolution of course design, maintenance, ergonomics in clubs and better players. Today the game of golf has 34 rules and each rule has sub parts. The total rule book is over 200 pages.

Board member Barbara Hall has the responsibility to advise and teach the club on golf rules as needed. It takes a little knowledge to understand how to research a golf rule. One rule will most likely lead you to another rule. Barbara does a great job answering questions on and off the course. It is no small task to serve as the rules chair for our league. We are approaching the end of Rules chair, Barbara Hall summer. Please mark your calendars as membership enrollment for the club will start in October. Hope to see you on the course. .

Convenient community restaurant, lounge and terrace offering an enjoyable experience in food, drinks and entertainment. Food & Beverage Director - Aalt Brouwer abrouwer@suncityorovalley.com 520-917-8074

As things seem to become more and more normal, our business is steadily increasing. Please keep in mind that as we get busier, if everyone orders food at the same time, food will take a little longer to get out to the table. If you show up for live entertainment, don’t wait until everyone else shows up to place your order. The more spread out the orders are, the faster the food is delivered to the table. We are actively trying to hire more cooks, but it has been a challenge. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to serving you.
