Holiday programming brings music, birth, and a very Tudor Christmas.
Call the Midwife Holiday Special During this year’s festive episode, Mother Mildred and the Nonnatus House team of midwives go to the Outer Hebrides, a remote, idyllic Scottish island, in response to a nursing shortage. Navigating the terrain, they strive to keep up with the needs of the locals. Exposed to the elements, they operate in bleak conditions with limited access to water and electricity to help their patients, just in time to reconvene in Poplar for Christmas. SDPB1: Wednesday, Dec. 25, 8pm (7 MT) Christmas at Belmont For the 15th straight year, Christmas at Belmont brings warm holiday music and cheer to households across the country. This holiday tradition from Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center features various university ensembles spanning pop, country, classical, jazz and other genres of music. Also features Michael W. Smith, CeCe Winans, and the Nashville Children’s Choir. SDPB1: Monday, Dec. 23, 8 pm (7 MT) & Tuesday, Dec. 24, 5pm (6 MT)
